And it's definitely not true that addicts aren't violent. When they run out of drugs, they can snap and get desperate enough to do anything for cash. If you even suggest they take a drug test while they're crashing, they might actually attack you. They aren't the same person they were before they started. That's just reality.
Credit to the ones who actually try to get clean. It’s a brutal, lifelong struggle. Staying clean for a few months or even two years doesn't mean much if the mental side isn't handled, because one bad slip-up and they're right back at square one. Sadly, there are fewer people actually fighting it than those who don't realize what they're doing—or maybe they do, they just don't have the strength to fight.
As for me... when I read about some addict overdosing, I don't feel bad. They're weak. I'm not saying the rest of us are perfect, but they're especially weak. Escaping reality that way is the easy way out. I also think they're incredibly selfish and irresponsible. What am I supposed to do, pour my life into someone like that? Probably not, even if they were my own blood. I don't feel any sympathy for them. Not one bit. Now, someone will probably say "they need community support," and sure, maybe that helps some, but usually it doesn't. No one can make you see you're making mistakes until you realize it yourself. Until it finally clicks in their head that it's time to stop this crap, they won't do anything. You can tell them "get help, look at what you're doing, you're going to kill yourself," blah blah blah—it won't matter.
Honestly, I get why Scott Allen10 feels the way he does. I didn't used to think like this, but seeing certain things firsthand really changed my perspective on the whole issue.

Sure, but there isn't really one objectively correct way to handle a situation like this. I guess only the woman actually going through it can know what feels right at the moment. It seems a bit narrow-minded to say abortion is always unjustified—that feels like a pretty closed way of thinking, if you ask me. There has to be a choice. It’s a heavy, complicated life decision, no matter how you slice it... unless you're one of those mindless idiots I mentioned earlier, treating it like nothing because they're too lazy to use protection or take the pill. If she doesn't have the means or the desire to raise a child, I guess hopefully everything goes as smoothly as possible—physically and mentally. Maybe she'll be more careful next time. What did they even win Oscars for? I don't know, maybe. When I was a kid watching Paramount Pictures, it never really stood out to me. But rewatching it this afternoon, I guess it wasn't half bad. It looks a bit like a frog, but the role is decent and she has nice hands 🙂

I don't really care. I just watched it again. When that final dance scene hit, I cranked the volume all the way up and sang along. I guess what can you do when you love that song? I don't really get the whole Kraft thing. I can drink as much as I want without dealing with heart palpitations or whatever others complain about; I guess I just haven't noticed any issues so far. I've had about four cases today, maybe three yesterday, and since I haven't been drinking it constantly lately, it’s fine. I'm just enjoying some 🙂 lemon flavor...
I guess nimbleskipper13 lives for truffle and asparagus frittatas... those are actually two of the few things I can't stand. I just don't like them, and honestly, that heavy truffle smell makes me nauseous. I'm no nutrition expert, but I haven't really eaten bread in ages. Maybe if I'm having a sandwich or toast, but with dinner? If I eat any at all, it’s barely half a slice. It doesn't sit right with me; I'd much rather fill up on actual food than just wolf down three slices of bread. But hey, everyone's body is different, I suppose.

It feels like I’m getting terrorized more often lately by people blasting unbearable genres—probably heavy metal or something—with half the bus shaking from the bass. I haven't actually heard anyone listening to country music, though I did see one woman packing some CDs into her bag that said "Morgan Wallen Mix" 😬. I don't really buy the argument that people listen to country just because "everyone else does." That's a lazy way to look at anything. You could say that about rap or pop, too. Not everyone listens to country, and not everyone listens to everything else. People listen to stuff because they actually like it. Period. I guess I don't get why people overthink this so much...
It depends, I guess. Sometimes none at all, sometimes maybe two or three. In the mornings, I only make a cappuccino if I actually have the time. But most days I don't, since I try to sleep in as long as possible and then end up rushing out the door at the last second...
I don't really care about the populists or The Rolling Stones, or who's married to whom. If people want to base their taste on that, I guess they should listen to Taylor Swift too. I mean, her dad's probably some bigshot politician or something, right? Whatever. I'm just sharing your perspective, but I personally think looking at things that way isn't quite right.
