I suppose you should also take plenty of Vitamin B and C.

I believe NyQuil hasn't actually been in stock at the local pharmacies for quite some time now. 😳

Maybe try consuming lots of vitamins, sugar, and fluids.

The vitamins might help wake you up and boost your immunity, while the sugar could potentially provide some energy.

And, of course, one might consider increased doses of cold medications, such as DayQuil or things like that.

I guess you could squeeze about five lemons and mix them with five large spoonfuls of honey.😁

I suppose I see them quite a bit myself, though it usually happens when the weather gets warmer. 😍

Well, I don't want to go completely off-topic here, but I suppose I could try to draw a comparison between my speech therapist and, say, someone's personal trainer or their specific diet plan... 😁

A speech therapist isn't going to step in and start stuttering on my behalf, just like a personal trainer isn't going to lose weight for their client.

I suppose it really just comes down to persistence, and that’s about it...

Is that any better now? 😬

I went to speech therapy when I was just a kid, and eventually, I got it sorted out. 😉

I guess I find that kind of thing somewhat charming, personally. 😉

I’ve actually gone to see a speech therapist myself at some point... though, I guess my concentration levels are pretty much all over the place right now. 😳

I suppose you think you’d find me more charming if I just stayed quiet, don't you? 😁

Well, I don't always feel like putting in the effort to explain myself. 😁

I recently met this girl, Vania, and we were just sitting there having some drinks and talking. I actually mentioned to her that I have a stutter, and she honestly didn't believe me. It was almost like she couldn't even wrap her head around the idea, because, well, it didn't seem to show at all during our conversation. 🤣 🤣

I suppose if I were actually required to pick up the phone and call someone I didn't even know just to ask a question, I'd probably struggle to get a single word out. It feels like a daunting prospect, I guess. 😳

I suppose I’ve drifted completely off-topic now. 😳 😁

(to be perfectly honest, nothing else comes to mind at the moment🤔 )

And I suppose I should just suggest stuttering...

Or perhaps stammering. 😬

Does that make any sense now? 😁

It likely develops during early childhood, when a mother might instinctively pop a pacifier into a baby's mouth at the first sign of a cry. 😁

I suppose I don't know if you've ever struggled with being overweight, but it can be a rather vicious and difficult battle—mostly an internal one against oneself.
To be honest, I have a certain amount of respect for people who manage significant weight loss; they often demonstrate more strength of character than most people ever do. 🙂

It is entirely possible that it is simply a reflex carried over from childhood. 😁

I've never actually been overweight myself; in fact, I tend to be quite thin and would actually prefer to put on a few pounds, so I imagine the struggle is just as difficult for me as it is for someone trying to lose weight.

I also deal with another issue that I could probably resolve if I just applied two weeks of sheer persistence, yet I've been dealing with it since I was a kid. 😳

So, in certain respects, I think I understand how it feels. 😁

restlessmarlin6 said:Well, she might need to, who knows? Maybe she just hasn't had a chance to eat yet, or perhaps she simply won't. 😁

I suppose I'm not really trying to excuse eating on the go, especially given how judgmental everyone seems to be lately, but that whole situation looked somewhat absurd; I mean, the idea of five starving people chasing her down just to snatch a sandwich seems a bit much, I guess. 🤣

I was watching this segment on TV yesterday about a woman who managed to drop 50 pounds in a very short window, and it didn't seem like she used any of those extreme, aggressive diets—just consistent exercise and sheer willpower, I suppose. 😁

It probably stems from the fact that most people who want to lose weight tend to say, "Starting tomorrow, I'm not eating anything," and then they skip breakfast and lunch only to realize that approach isn't sustainable, which usually leads to them overindulging again later.

If you just commit to cutting out sweets and skipping dinner for a month, maybe that would work; eventually, reducing things further might become a bit easier, I guess.

I mean, I honestly find myself doubting that this is actually what's causing people to gain weight. 😁

I suppose they’re definitely gaining more weight than if they simply refused to eat anything at all; though, in my estimation, the specific name isn't really the point—it’s just plain ridiculous that it’s even being called that.

I guess I saw something similar the other day—some fuller-figured woman walking along the shoulder of the road, aggressively shouting "sandwich" at everyone passing by. 🤣

Look, I think you should probably just slow down a little bit. 😬

Find yourself some work, a hobby, or something to occupy your time, so you aren't practically sitting around with nothing to do. 😁
Seriously, I often find myself unable to eat, which might be something you can’t even fathom. 😁

And please, don't track your diet in a way where you eat a roasted chicken thigh for lunch, calculate that it was only 615 calories, and then convince yourself you barely ate anything—only to follow it up by polishing off a pound of chocolate wafers and chips because you "didn't have much for lunch."

For instance, just the other day at a gas station, this heavy-set guy in front of me pulled up to the $27 ExxonMobil pump just so he'd have those extra $6.75 left over from his $33 to spend on candy. 🤣

A few acquaintances of mine constantly complain about how they can't lose weight and insist they don't eat much...

It might be that they don't consume large portions during lunch, but they are constantly snacking, incessantly, all day long—sandwiches, apples, tangerines, cookies, chips, pretzels...

A friend of mine probably weighed upwards of 200 pounds, if not more; he could barely move on his own, so he eventually went to get gastric balloon surgery. He’s losing weight rapidly now, but if there is any way to save yourself without surgery, I suppose you should try that first.

Furthermore, you mentioned that you are 15 years old.
I suspect your parents likely bear a significant portion of the blame here, perhaps quite a large amount.

I haven't read all five pages, but if you happen to live in a conservative community where the prevailing logic is that being overweight equals being healthy, you really need to make a shift yourself and explain to those around you that such a notion is simply incorrect. 😬

I suppose it also depends on what you've been drinking; if you’re coming off a night at a local dive bar or some big party, 🤣 you can probably drink as much water as you want and it won't matter much... 😬

lonepilot21 said:I suppose I could suggest a few things, though I realize everyone’s biology is a bit different, so there are no guarantees. If I were to attempt to craft a routine that might actually result in waking up feeling refreshed—as if the previous day hadn't taken such a toll—I think it would involve a more disciplined approach to the evening hours. Maybe one could try implementing a strict digital sunset. It sounds a bit cliché, I know, but limiting exposure to blue light from phones or tablets an hour before bed might help settle the mind. I also find that if I don't wind down with something low-stakes, like reading a physical book rather than scrolling through news feeds, my sleep quality seems slightly more stable. Another thing, perhaps, is temperature regulation. I've noticed that keeping the bedroom quite cool helps me drift off more easily. And, of course, avoiding heavy meals late at night is probably essential, though I admit that isn't always easy to follow. It’s all about consistency, I guess. There isn't really a magic trick, but if you manage to control those small variables, you might just wake up feeling somewhat decent for once. 🙂

I suppose if one were to clap their hands exactly six times while chanting "zamba hey, zamba hey," it might be considered a somewhat eccentric way to pass the time, though I can't say I find it particularly productive. 😁

Storm clouds are gathering. I mean, I had about four or five beers yesterday with a buddy—he insisted on picking up the tab for some reason, even though I don't usually touch alcohol more than once a week—and then I came home, grabbed a bite to eat, and made sure to drink about a quart of water today. I guess I'm feeling alright enough for now. 😁

I suppose that might hold some truth for that tiny 1% who happen to have lower testosterone levels🤣

Generally speaking, if he goes ahead and refills my prescription, you'll probably end up having to hunt down a different pharmacy anyway, which means more waiting in lines. And until then, I guess you could start experiencing those involuntary tremors in your head, or maybe even your shoulder... 😁

But I'm from Cleveland, and lately I've been reading that you show up expecting a $5,000 settlement, only to have them amputate your leg instead of just fixing a blind loop...

Maybe I'll be granted some sort of privilege since I happen to be in the medical profession myself. 😁
