What temperature are we even talking about? He didn't have a fever.
vividsailor7 said:Temperature and CRP levels don't have anything to do with allergies (you guys already got those answers from Richter!!!)

So why were all those tests done in the first place??

Because he dealt with bronchitis twice. They ran allergy panels for him too.
protein (serum)________________________ref. interval:

Immunoglobulin E - 16 H IU/ml ___________less than 15
Immunoglobulin G - 3.39 L g/l______________3.5-11.8
Immunoglobulin A - 0.11 L g/l______________0.36-1.65
Immunoglobulin M - 0.56 g/l______________0.36-1.04

Got a one-year-old here... what's the deal with these low G and A levels? Is this looking too low, or is it something we can just live with?
And that first E value is up a bit... does that point toward an allergy issue?
Maria Fisher46 said:My bad, totally missed the B.s So, I was looking over the question again. Everything seems totally fine. Basically, the vaccination worked exactly like it was supposed to. My answer to what you asked in my last post? Yeah, it’s still the same. No changes there.

My bad again—sorry for that quick, messy assumption about misreading the lab results. My mistake.

Hey there.🙂

Thanks a ton for the reply! Catch ya later.
Maria Fisher46 said:Hey Michael Jones23,

If we're talking about anti-HBs levels (I'm double-checking because you might have misread the lab report slightly!) and assuming you've been vaccinated against Hepatitis B (that’s a huge factor here!), then having a positive result of 35 IU/L basically means the vaccine did its job and you've got solid protection against Hepatitis B.

That said, obviously, your doctors get the final say.

Best, 🙂

Actually, it's written exactly like this (immunoassay):
Hepatitis Bs antibodies ........................................35 mUI/ml positive
If I remember correctly, I was vaccinated against hepatitis.

Thanks for the reply!
So, I just got my hepatitis screening back—I'm pregnant, by the way
Everything came back negative except for the anti-HBs, which was sitting somewhere around 35... does that actually mean anything?

Who's Ginkic to you?

So, Stanic is working social services now... you hear anything about him?

Susan Gonzalez4 said:I’m heading in this Wednesday. Leko is through my insurance, and I've been asking around the neighborhood, but honestly? I haven't heard two good things about any midwife within driving distance. I really want to find someone I can actually trust to guide me through the pregnancy later on—and let's face it, that's a tall order.

Where are you headed; to Dr. Galovic or Dr. Leko?
I'm not feeling that second one either.

What kind of $20 stuff are you guys even talking about''??!
First time I'm hearing any of this. Seriously, ironlynx41, why don't you go ahead and ask what the deal is, or just look at the fine print on the invoice or whatever...

That Folic Acid Plus goes for about $12 - 90 count

So, is nobody else seeing this? Does anyone actually know anything about this?
And if we're all just clueless, how are you guys even dealing with varicose veins?
Folic Acid recommendations? in Health ·
I’ve been taking Folic Acid Plus lately—you can just grab it at any local CVS or Walgreens without needing a prescription.

Has anyone actually tried this device treatment before?
I’m trying to figure out if it really does anything for varicose veins and broken capillaries.
Like, does it even work once things have already become visible, or is it just for when you first start noticing them?

Found this bit online:

Also, does anyone have a ballpark idea of what the price tag looks like?

Rachel Morris42 said:Hey, I'm also from the area, so I was wondering if anyone knows what Dr. Leko is actually like? I've heard she's good, but when I finally saw her, she just seemed so... confused? It was only two visits. I had a miscarriage and she sent me straight for a D&C. But the way she handled it—it felt like it should have been a quick fix, you know? And then boom, done. I didn't even get a chance to ask her a single question before she was ushering me out. I ended up going to see Dr. Laušinka instead, and those women walked me through everything in detail. They actually helped calm me down a bit (as much as you can in a situation like that) and gave me some solid advice for the future.

😬 Yeah, I pretty much ghosted her after a few days. Honestly, I think that speaks volumes, doesn't it?

Maybe she isn't a total disaster, maybe she’s just drowning in patients and rushing through everything? I always get this vibe that she's pushing me out the door. Or maybe she's just superficial? Actually, now that I really think about it... yeah, she's bad.😁

wiredrider2 said:Yeah, first that new doctor has to give you the okay that they're "accepting" you, and then you take that confirmation to the old one to get your records. It's not true that they just "transfer everything" automatically anymore because the laws changed a few years back. Actually, you're expected to go GET your own files and bring them to the new place yourself. So, if you handle it personally and head down to the clinic downtown, I think you could probably wrap it all up in two days and start seeing the new doc.

I'd suggest hitting up the new doctor first to get that acceptance confirmation, then ask them for the specifics there!

I'm not really sure about this, honestly. I'm not even from the city, I'm out in Phoenix, and that’s what the nurse told me here—and hey, she probably knows how the system works. She was pretty adamant that I CANNOT just grab my own records; she said they have to be sent over by the office!

I'm wondering about the whole process when you want to switch gynecologists?
Do I get some kind of form from the new doc and then take that straight to Blue Cross? Like, am I supposed to bring my old medical records there too, or just the form... Or does the new doctor handle the files and the paperwork once the insurance clears everything? Ugh. Does anyone actually know how this works?😕

So, I actually went to swap doctors today. I went to my old office to grab my files, but the nurse basically shut me down. She was like, "You can't just take those, you have to register with your new doctor first, and then we'll transfer everything over once the insurance companies sort out the paperwork." Something like that... anyway, she told me the whole thing takes like a month??! So now I'm sitting here thinking, can I even see the new doctor in the meantime, or am I stuck dealing with my old one for another few weeks?

Ronald Booth said:Does anyone have experience with gynecologists in St. Louis? I think there are only three, but since I'm new to town, I have no clue which one to go to...😕

Wait, you think there are only three? There are way more than that. Maybe you were just thinking of the big names?

Anyway, I usually see someone downtown, but honestly, I’m not really feeling it. I know some people mentioned Dr. Matkovic is a solid choice if you're going private, and for the public clinics, I think it's Dr. Stanic.

David Torres5 said:Michael Jones23, what do you think about using grapevine leaves? Maybe even a little cluster of grapes? A friend of mine used them once, and man, it looked incredible!

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. It’s either that or some kind of succulent—I can't remember the name, but it has this gorgeous, tiny shimmer to it.🙂

Both of us are Slavonian, but we weren't really planning on adding any regional flair to the whole thing.😁
