I was wondering about that too, and my doctor told me the exact same thing as Betty Rivera14—they basically just squeeze it all out...

Yeah, if urethral length matters, then I guess it makes sense why they can hold it longer too, since the path is longer. We’re definitely at a disadvantage there... honestly, sometimes feels like everything is rigged in their favor...😠

It sounds like you had E. coli. I had it for a long, long time myself, but in my urine, and I eventually cleared it. But every single time I got it, I’d get a yeast infection too. So... yeah. Total crap. Then after a round of antibiotics, back to the yeast infections. Honestly, ladies, I am officially done with those antibiotics, for sure!

And who told you that you mostly get it from anal sex? Please. You can pick it up just from wiping after you go to the bathroom. You could practically get it every day if you aren't careful. I really hope you're wiping front to back?

I'm feeling way better since I started taking it, so I'm hoping this becomes the permanent plan. At least that's what the doctor promised me. I'll double-check once my lab results come back.

basically, I don't have to take anything if I don't want to. after reading about all those side effects, I'm just over it. I feel better already without them and I really don't want to keep poisoning myself with that stuff.

my tea for these pests finally showed up. herbal medicine worked wonders for me with other urinary tract issues before, so I’m banking on it working for everything else too.

The issue is I have bacteria, not a yeast infection. Plus, I was under the impression that trichomonas (at least in my experience) mimics the exact same symptoms as fungus—just non-stop itching, you know? And honestly, it’s possible I could have both at once. If I wasn't, I'd probably end up with a yeast infection from the antibiotics anyway, which is exactly why I'm skipping them. Get it now?

Honestly, it's my last resort after failing with everything from Greek yogurt and LG probiotics to tea tree oil, garlic, and all those other old wives' tales...

Just waiting on my herbal tea shipment to arrive—the stuff that actually tackles these beasts. I really want to avoid popping antibiotics if I can help it, so until then, just having this little comfort helps. A lot. 🙂

Honestly, you’re probably better off. I seriously doubt it was just the hand cream doing the heavy lifting. More likely some kind of natural healing process kicking in on its own, right? Give it a few more days and you should be feeling fine. You really ought to be by then.

So, for next time... maybe just be a little more careful when you're hooking up, yeah? Like, seriously. Might be worth grabbing some lube or something before you go at it. Just a thought.
