Other people's hands aren't any dirtier than a subway handrail, a hallway doorknob, a shopping cart handle at Target, or even a pen you grab at a Chase branch... But if I make sure to wash them the second I walk through my front door—or, you know, whenever I hit a restroom—well, then...

Well, that’s just their classic playbook, isn't it? They swoop in, buy out their biggest competition, and then—well, you know exactly what happens next...
Regarding Chrome over the last two or three years... it really only ever crashed on me when my motherboard was acting up... so, let's just say it doesn't crash often... and I'm currently running version 1.0.7, which works perfectly fine... I used Safari for a long time before switching to Chrome, too... and it's a nice little feature that it asks if you want to continue where you left off after a crash, but why would I ever need that with Chrome if it isn't crashing? Besides, I actually quite like Chrome because of its simplicity... it's a browser, it looks clean, it's fast... and honestly, that's all I really need.
I eat bread every single day—honestly, it’s part of almost every meal I have. It’s just impossible for me to sit down without it... whether it's serving as a side to steak, some mashed potatoes, or even just a quick snack, I find myself needing two or three thick slices just to feel satisfied.
To be fair, I didn't used to be much of a bread eater when I was having sides with my meals, but once I joined the Army and started dealing with those tiny, meager portions they serve, I realized I had to start pairing everything with bread just to stay full. 😁
How are you all doing? To put it bluntly—and I mean this in the most polite way possible—you're all being a bit ridiculous. We’re talking about a shared locker room, right? A dedicated space equipped with changing lockers specifically designed for switching from a work uniform into street clothes... I assume I haven't completely misunderstood the situation here? If I haven't then 😁

Well, at least we won't have to worry about kidney stones, right?😁
Carol Roberts77 said:You didn't quite catch my drift—it isn't really about finding a girlfriend right now, it’s more about this sense of isolation; it feels like I can't even get a grip on reality because if you haven't been anywhere near a serious relationship by the age of 22, when exactly are you supposed to start? (blah blah and the rest of what he wrote)
You absolute dummy (and that's coming from a place of affection 🙂 )—but seriously, the way you're thinking and processing things... you are in the exact same mess I am! So, I completely get where you're coming from, though unfortunately, I can't offer any actual constructive advice; if I actually had any, I'd be using it on myself, wouldn't I? And if I did, I wouldn't be standing in the same spot as you 😁 Maybe it helps just a little bit to know that you aren't alone in this 🙂 And perhaps there are others out there in the woods too 🙂
anyhow, I've been stuck in this kind of depressive s(t/r)ing for a few years now—but honestly, I've almost gotten used to it... plus, I've learned how to keep it pretty well hidden from everyone around me... sort of; depression has just become part of who I am
Oh, and one more thing—I think you might be mistaken about therapists. Now, I haven't personally sat on their couches, but I truly believe that just talking things through can help, for sure; they actually know how to conduct a conversation properly As for the pills? No way—not even if you offered me anything else in exchange
I’m reading through these threads from people in the banking sector and 😠 grrrrr
But honestly, Kenneth Hernandez67, you are such a powerhouse 🙂
One really needs to have the grit—and the sheer stamina—to fight through all of this, especially when dealing with the suffocating bureaucracy at places like JP Morgan Chase... not to mention their blatant greed for every cent. It’s as if consumer protection is an afterthought to them, isn't it? 🙂
Even without having a fighter by your side, I am certain you'll claw that money back. 🙂
The human psyche is such a strange, winding labyrinth...
Ladies, honestly—what can I even say? All I can tell you is hang in there. Truly, hats off to you all for the sheer effort, the grit, the persistence, and the love you put into this...
Kenneth Hernandez67, if I were in your shoes, I’d actually forbid my parents from coming for visits... it would make things easier for everyone involved. Honestly, they probably don't even grasp the gravity of what he's going through, so it won't hit them too hard—plus, you wouldn't have to deal with their constant lack of understanding... Grrr, it’s infuriating how people take these kinds of illnesses for granted. In my opinion—and feel free to disagree—dealing with mental health struggles is far more taxing than any physical ailment... 😠
Anyway, sending big greetings to 👋 and 🙂 and I'll keep moving forward with good will...
Regarding what I mentioned about my vision issues: the process you can expect is basically this -> getting a scan -> running it through Photoshop -> hitting print 😁
LOL I have to admit, I had a good laugh at this—though, honestly, it’s not really a laughing matter... Look, kid, you’d be much better off actually looking after your health. If things take a turn for the worse—God forbid—all those excuses and wasted hours won't mean a thing to anyone, 🙄
dustycanyon6 said:Honestly, guys... I've played just about every one of those "violent" games out there—and believe me, I know them well. Most people who actually know me would probably tell you I'm the most soft-spoken, non-confrontational person they've ever met... So, really, what are we even talking about with all this nonsense?
Roger Cox10 said:Why not? Go right ahead 🙂 though I honestly feel it would be more helpful to share that information right here—that way everyone else can benefit from it if they find themselves in a similar spot 😁
Exactly—why not share that little blessing with the rest of us? It might make things a bit easier for everyone else too 🙂 Maybe they’re just terrified of those Laryngitis rules and don't dare to promote anything 😁 But then again, I suppose that doesn't apply to you or the medications... or does it... Casey Palmer5?
So, I’ve been battling this nasty flu since Sunday—honestly, I can’t even remember the last time I felt this wiped out... It feels just like the seasonal bugs we get every year... ugh, I am seriously over being stuck in bed all day... I was wondering, is it actually okay to take a shower (just lukewarm water, obviously) while running a fever? My family is insisting I shouldn't touch the water, but I'm honestly starting to feel pretty gross from just lying here...
As for getting vaccinated, I’m still feeling pretty skeptical about it. I mean, they design those shots based on last year's virus strain, right? But the virus shifts every single year, more or less... last year it was one thing, and this year it could be something completely different...
Casey Palmer5 said:I'm not trying to run an ad here... just try searching www.google.com for "Gotu Kola New York"... and I'm sure you'll find plenty of options.
Honestly, I'm blushing over here... I feel like I came across as completely clueless and incompetent—just like we had the chance to see earlier. 🙂 But thanks anyway! 👋
My uncle over in Australia sent me this flyer about a specific plant—he actually calls it "Willow Bark, Gotu Kola" It turns out Native Americans used this herb to boost energy levels, sharpen memory, help with focus, and even tackle respiratory issues. Apparently, Western herbalists have also found it particularly effective at easing arthritis pain... (if that sounds a bit clunky, please excuse me; I'm translating directly from a pamphlet without much help...) The way it's described, you eat the leaves right after they're picked—you can even toss them into a salad. Does anyone happen to know what this is or what we call it here in the States? I’d be incredibly grateful for any insight. If it helps, I can scan the image and post it here...
Drew Mitchell55 said:Besides that... why bother staying sober when you can just enjoy a really fine glass of Cabernet? 😁
If I could actually drive myself home safely 😁 then I suppose I wouldn't have to cut back on the drinks quite so much... but honestly—I'll probably just find a spot to crash somewhere instead. 😁
