Can you swim with tampons? in Women's Health ·
quiettiger87 said:Water can leak through sometimes, sure. It isn't like your backside where you have a sphincter constantly keeping the opening shut.🙄

Look, mine is a holy relic, whereas yours is just an airlock 🤷

God dammit 🤣

Go to hell, you know what you're doingimage

🙄 Honestly, how on earth do you even get wet? I mean, what are you even doing while you're swimming?
Like, if you aren't wearing a tampon, do you just have to squeeze it all out once you get out of the water?😂

🤣 Goodness, that’s the first I’ve ever heard—that a tampon actually absorbs water.😂
But honestly, what kind of creatures are we dealing with here?😲
Birth control pills: yes or no?? in Women's Health ·
blueseal12 said:I feel the exact same way. When did you finally stop taking them? And how long did it take for the breakouts to clear up?😕 and did they actually go away?

🙂 Well, it was quite a while ago, but I think they cleared up after maybe... one or two months. They completely vanished once my body finally got back to its normal state, because I honestly never dealt with any acne at all until I started that whole adventure with the pill.😠

wanderinghound62 said:So, if I actually decide to go ahead with the pill (or whatever else is out there), what exactly am I supposed to do about that test result? I mean, is it really unavoidable? Is it absolutely necessary? I guess I'm just wondering if it's truly required.😕 Was that you ladies working on my kids?

Has anyone else here had their gynecologist recommend using the pill for any reason at all? I'm curious if this is something others have dealt with.

You really need to get those tests done. What are you so afraid of? It’s just a quick blood draw, that's all.😛
My gynecologist prescribed them to me for one very simple reason: birth control.🤣
But honestly, I just stopped taking them because they made me feel absolutely revolting. I never used to deal with breakouts, but those hormones turned my skin into one giant pimple. It was gross. On top of that, I felt like I was starting to put on weight in such a weird way. So, I just decided to stop swallowing them altogether.
Well, looking at my friend's situation, her OB-GYN actually recommended the pill because she was dealing with irregular cycles, debilitating cramps, and terrible acne. It’s funny how that works, but all of those issues just completely cleared up once she started taking the medication.😉

And just like restlesshound27 said, I guess flooding your system with hormones isn't exactly a walk in the park for everyone.
Have you asked Ginac why the pain is hitting you so hard? I mean, have you checked to see if there are any cysts or anything like that?🤷
Don't wash your hair during your period?!? WTF in Women's Health ·
brisknomad6 said:It looks great on the outside, but honestly, it’s a total disaster once you get inside.😁 😁

🤣🤣 I know of one that's pretty similar, though I personally think this one is much better.🤣

It’s an issue. One of those funnier topics surfacing today.🤣

God, I mean, why doesn't anyone here just take a break so they can lie in bed writhing in pain for five days because of that whole miserable period thing... and then on top of all that, they don't even bother with hygiene?
The mere thought of it makes me feel a little nauseous.😁

So, what exactly is it about those scenes that draws you people in? I’ve always found this fascinating—how one person might be physically repulsed by something (that's certainly me), while someone else is practically swooning over it.🤷

Between the rapes, the impalements, and burying people alive up to their guts... and they even filmed it to look realistic.

jaqen h'ghar um, yeah, and which scene is the biggest cliché??? Hostel 2, when the woman slaughters the other girl using her own hair and washes herself in the blood!!! But man, it's such a thrill to watch, despite everything!!!

That scene where Monica Bellucci gets assaulted made me lose all respect for men...😢 It's just too brutal.
And that part where Vincent Cassel goes absolutely feral and crushes someone's head with a fire extinguisher is pretty raw, too...
I felt sick for an entire week after watching that movie...

Yeah, that’s the one I was thinking of. After that scene with Cassel and the fire extinguisher, I just didn't have the stomach for movies—or anything else, really—for quite a while. It was just too much. I don't think I've ever seen a scene more revolting or realistic. Though, I suppose there is a very similar moment in Panov's labyrinth. Unfortunately.

Passion. And honestly, I’m so grateful my parents wouldn't let me sit through movies like "Occupation in a blank image," because even today, I still couldn't stomach watching something like that.
I just can't stand torture scenes, especially when they're realistic.👎
Chris Peterson53 said:"They lived a beautiful life"—you hear people say that about someone, whether they’re still around or long gone.
Whenever I hear that phrase, it triggers this subconscious reflex to audit my own existence. And every single time, I have to tell myself: No, mine hasn't been "beautiful" by any stretch of the imagination. Not since childhood. It’s been a constant grind—survival, education, a relentless string of setbacks, living through wartime instability, the volatile highs and lows of finances, a failed marriage, and spending years looking after people who frankly didn't do me any favors. There was precious little love to go around, while the struggle and the caretaking were endless.
Despite all that, I don't walk around feeling miserable. Instead, I just feel this quiet sense of melancholy when I reflect on how much I was shortchanged. But then again—was I actually shortchanged? Or am I just being cynical?
To balance the scales, I do feel lucky. I have my kids, I have a roof over our heads, and while our lifestyle is relatively modest, we’re stable for now. We live peacefully, side-by-side.
Still, there’s this nagging little voice in the back of my head. It starts gnawing at me whenever I see people who never had to lift a finger—people who seemingly had everything handed to them on a silver platter (and I’m not just talking about money). It makes me wonder: what exactly is the intended definition of a "beautiful life"?
Is it just accepting things as they are?
Is it resigning yourself to "fate"?
Is it giving your absolute all, only to accept that others are simply doing better?
Or is it finding contentment in your own small wins, even if they look insignificant compared to everyone else's?
What do you all think about this concept of a "beautiful life"??

stop looking through other people's windows and just focus on your own path. Envy is a nasty thing; it really doesn't fit with what I’d call a "good life."
As far as I'm concerned, a good life is simply one where you feel good, comfortable, and at peace with yourself.
Of course, that won't happen every single day—that would be unrealistic.😉 😛

I actually thought the first one was pretty good. It was fun. Plus, I’m a huge fan of Scarlett Johansson, so that was definitely a bonus—she looked amazing in that dress and those boots (I actually went out and bought the exact same pair immediately🤣). But man, the second part? It was an absolute train wreck. Even Scarlett couldn't save that mess from being total garbage.
I'll probably end up watching the third one too, but honestly, it's only because of her. If the second installment was such a disaster, I have no idea what to expect from the third, other than it potentially being even worse.😢

😲 No way. He’s absolutely fantastic. Honestly, every single movie I’ve seen him in, he’s been great.

And I’d probably cut that actress from China; she just doesn't seem to fit in.

I agree with this part... it felt a little forced. But overall, it isn't a bad movie, though I don't quite get why they had to kill off that girl when there were already plenty of people dead around the house...🤷

🙂 That’s beautiful and true. But what if I still don't know what I actually love, or what if I never even figure it out? Jesus. It's enough to drive you crazy.😵 This follows up on that "boredom" thread. *shrugs*

I honestly think you can see the difference in mindset just by looking at online forums. Personally, I rarely visit local boards, and what someone said about this specific community really hit home: that it's one of the more tame ones, which is actually the scariest part of the whole thing. People here seem to have a completely different way of handling written communication on sites like this; they treat everything like it's just some big game for entertainment.

Just like you mentioned, I mostly hang out on international forums, and this is pretty much the first American site😛 I've ever registered for.
That "tame" comment really caught me off guard 😲—if this is considered tame, then what on earth are the others like?
From what I've noticed so far, there's a significant amount of intolerance here, plus this weird vibe that feels like a competition where people try to be "funny" by picking on others.
You rarely see that kind of behavior happening on such a massive scale on foreign forums.
Maybe there are some upside to it, I don't know... maybe total freedom of speech without censorship😁 and stuff like that.

But I wouldn't say you shouldn't take forums seriously. Sure, if you don't like it, you can just stop coming or find somewhere else, but there isn't much of a difference between RL and these message boards. Because of that, I think this serves as a good indicator of how a little... Wild Little we Americans can be.😁
Well, I wouldn't say it's all bad; I guess it just depends on how you look at the issue.😉

Uh, well. I guess the main patient is Johnny Knoxville.😁 😉 But honestly, he isn't much better than that psycho Bam Margera who’s just hanging around Valley Forge or wherever he is currently🤣 it's gross, seriously, the guy isn't even sane—he has the EXACT same tattoos.🤣

But the absolute worst part is Bam Margera's mom. Someone should probably just set her on fire.🤣 😁
Tight-fitting shoes in Fashion ·
Lawrence Reed5 said:So, I went ahead and grabbed a pair of shoes in a size 7 even though I’m usually a size 7.5 or even an 8 if I’m being honest 😬 😬 😬
The whole thing is because they were literally the last ones left in stock, and oh my gosh, I was just so obsessed with them! Plus, considering how nice the quality feels, the price was such a steal, I couldn't pass them up 😬

I’ve heard all sorts of weird DIY hacks floating around online, like soaking them in milk, stuffing them with newspaper and tossing them in the freezer, or maybe some crazy combo of both, you know how it goes 😁

Does anyone out there have any actual advice on how to STRETCH shoes? Because honestly, I think the length might actually be fine if I can just somehow manage to cram my foot into them in the first place 😳 Just to give you some context, they’re basically like ballet flats—totally flat soles—but instead of having that rounded toe, they have a pointed toe 😳

I'm sorry, but I don't think your username really fits you at all.image

Honestly🤣 at first I was complaining, saying there was absolutely no way I'd sit through those idiots. Then they basically forced me to watch it despite my protests, and I just couldn't stop grinning.🤣 🤣 Anyway, during that sketch with the crazy old guy and the kid, I actually started hyperventilating from laughing so hard.🤣 🤣

I suppose I'll be more objective once I've seen his other films, which is obvious, but joining in on this little spittoon session against Orlando Bloom is the last thing on my mind. Calm down. The guy just doesn't know how to act. And who's spitting? I only said he was hot.😍
