How cool are mustaches? in Miscellaneous ·
I rocked a mustache for a while and felt pretty manly, but it just wasn't my style for long...

This movie is fucking incredible!!! I spent the whole ninety minutes just cracking up... absolute must-watch, if you know what I mean. The songs are killer. Especially when Kim Jong Il sings "I'm so lonely" and can't even pronounce his R's properly. You’ll need to catch this one a few more times just to soak in all the insane details packed into every scene. Like how they made the streets in Paris look like they were paved with stone croissants. Definitely check it out!

Looks solid on paper. But we'll see when it actually drops. 😁Any word on a release date yet?

George Morgan3 said:Yeah, I get it... but if I'm going all-in on a full-suspension, then it needs to actually be a real deal bike for serious trails, with more travel 🙂 and

For what I need right now, about 4 inches of travel front and back is plenty. If I decide to step up to something beefier later, I'll deal with that then... 😁

Man, that's awesome. Personally, I've never been a fan of softtails... they aren't true full suspension, they're just... I don't know...
👍

But look, they soak up the bumps. Plus, the best part is you can basically turn it into a hardtail by locking out the shock. It makes climbing hills so much easier...

George Morgan3 said:All that's left from the Kon is the Nunu frame... Magura mart on the front... mechanical disc in the rear... Mavic 321 on both... I might swap the tires for some Nokinaov 2.3s... or maybe stick with 1.95??
🙂

I was thinking about picking up a Nunu myself, but I changed my mind. Went with a DaBomb instead. I'm happy with it... 🙂

I've had about enough of Bill Murray... he just can't pull off playing a total loser version of Santa Claus quite like Thornton can. 🙂

Larry David is the guy who wrote Seinfeld, and now he has his own show called Curb Your Enthusiasm...

In my opinion, this was the best part of the movie...

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here...
Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here, get him out of here and I'll handle things with wiredotter79. Tell him it was just food poisoning or something...

Marcus: What do you mean, get him outta here?

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here... Get him to the car...

Marcus: In case you didn't notice, I'm a motherfucking dwarf. Unless you have a forklift nearby, maybe you should just lend a hand...

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here. Typical. Always looking for an edge. Everyone wants their special accommodations just because they're struggling. It's always the same story...

Marcus: Special treatment? I'm 3-foot-fucking-tall you Asshole! It's just basic physics. Go ahead, draw me a sketch showing how I'm supposed to get him to the car...

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here Bitch, Bitch, Bitch!

Marcus: Sketch it out, you total idiot. Fucking Leonardo da Vinci.

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here... What did you just call me... those thigh-highs...

Marcus: I called you an absolute prehistoric loser back in the day, you Asshole!

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here: I could stick you up my ass, small fry...

Marcus: Yeah? You sure it isn't still too sore from last night...

Willie Has Just passed out ] gin : look here... You've got quite the attitude, kid...

Marcus: Yeah? Well, my lips were all over your wife's business last night. Maybe try cleaning that up once in a while... Asshole!

But since I went to Cinemark eating cheese tacos, I actually felt a bit sick when they showed that kid with the dried-up nostrils...🙂 😁

Anyway, Thornton has always been my favorite, and I think he’s the perfect fit for a lead role like this (which hasn't really happened before 😁)

Did you know they originally offered the part to Larry David? Even Bill Murray was almost on board before he ultimately decided on Lost in Translation.

George Morgan3 said:Kon doesn't have many mainstream models... but the coiler and stinky are already cult classics in the FR scene... I actually own one myself. 😉
I agree regarding Giant and Scott... what's your take on those Elan models, specifically Abel 1 and 4? 😎

Which thread are you following? As for mainstream models... you can always find them. Fire Mountain, Hahanna, Lana'i, and stuff like that... then you've got the beefier ones like Cinder Cone, Caldera, Kula...
Christian Sanchez44 said:The movie is a disaster.
Some individual scenes might have worked as cool standalone moments, but as a whole, the film is pathetic.
The drama is completely disconnected, there's zero plot to follow, you can't track anything, and it fails to hit whatever impact it was aiming for.
It's a shame for Steven Soderbergh, he really didn't need this one...

And that part where we call Vincent Cassel—please—dancing through laser beams... it's 😂
though the music is alright 😁

and Brad Pitt has that law tattoo 😍

that isn't dancing.... it's CAPOEIRA!!! 😁
I haven't seen the first one, but I watched the sequel yesterday. To me, the whole thing feels more like a bad movie. While the original was just a bad movie, they clearly made this sequel because they were having a blast on set and had too much money to burn. That's my take on it anyway...

Jacob Johnson70 said:Always think about how you actually plan to use the bike. If you’re just commuting through the city and occasionally hitting some paved park paths, this one is perfect. For anything more intense, you'll probably need to push harder... and likely look into a full suspension setup.
Just make sure you're getting the best components possible for your budget.

👍
I really wanted to write all of this out myself, but I just couldn't find the words. sigh...

That's true. I think those high-end models are solid enough, but personally, I’d never buy one. The branding just doesn't sit right with me. It's the same story with Giant and Scott. Kon is heading in that same direction too, though I can't really fault them since I ride an 😁.

For me, the best part was that argument between the dwarf and the store detective.

That bit where the store detective says, "If you don't plug it, I'll shove it up my ass," and the dwarf replies, "Wasn't it enough for you yesterday?"

🤣

Just list the parts you've got and the price, then someone will chime in.

Personally, I’d never go for a Trek, but whatever. What are you actually planning to use the bike for?

I think it’s great. If I recall correctly, it’s either the first or second commandment, unless someone wants to set me straight... It’s about a family gathering at some fancy estate hotel, awkward tensions, old secrets, blah blah, I won't go into all of it. Definitely worth a watch.
