Look at this. 😁 Especially that fourth topic up there.

Sean Lee7 said:that true family vibe... I actually loved it when he played solo. Honestly, maybe the best thing I've heard from him yet... He really set the right mood. If only I'd bothered to fix the lighting a bit better 😳

I don't hold anything against you 😎

Brenda Martinez4 said:I thought it was great. The drums were a bit much at times, almost distracting, but they really hit right on other tracks. This was the show for $8.25 😁. I just wish the crowd had been a little bigger...

Yeah, the energy wasn't exactly electric, but maybe that's for the best. It had that intimate vibe—tables, beers, smoke... maybe I'm just getting old... 😁

So, what did you guys think of Terry Lee Hale? I thought he was decent, though I honestly had a better time at his earlier shows. Not sure if I'm just burnt out or if today just didn't hit the mark for me...

Some things just aren't meant to be watched dubbed, especially when the whole point gets lost in translation. That goes for most animated movies...

I’ve seen the trailers playing in theaters lately and they sound fine, but I know I won't find the jokes as funny as I would in the original version. Honestly, I might not laugh at all.

By the way, a Black character with a Southern accent... c'mon. 🙄

Like I said, I'm not saying our local dubbing is bad, it just isn't for me.

And thank God we've had some pretty solid American dubs in the past, but there's still this lingering idea here that "an actor isn't serious if they're voicing cartoon characters." 🙄

I totally agree with you on the dubbing thing. Like I mentioned before, I much prefer the original, but I was actually surprised by this one. To be honest, the movie isn't anything special to me, but the jokes have been adapted fairly well for an American audience, I guess...

Actually, you misunderstood the part about the Black character. In our version, he’s been changed to a guy from Brooklyn, and he's voiced by Branko Duric. He's definitely one of the better characters...

Melissa Moore32 said:They're hitting our theaters now, but through an American dubbing studio. 👎 Hopefully, there will be some screenings featuring the original audio... 🙂

I caught the premiere where they used the dubbed version, and I have to say, the quality was top-notch. Usually, I'm a die-hard fan of the original audio, but this actually surprised me. The voice casting was spot on. Word is, the dubbing for Edna Mode was even praised by Pixar as being one of the best versions worldwide...

You definitely had the wrong channel on... 🙂

Well, aren't we all? 😕 😁

I wish people would just call the movie Party instead of Rave, since that’s how everyone remembers it. 😁

I was actually going to start a thread about this a few days ago.

I was watching an Extreme sport documentary about some guys over in France and England. Man, the stuff they do. At first, I thought it looked kind of pointless—just dudes running around and jumping over railings. I figured, hey, I could do that too. But once I saw them clearing gaps of ten meters or more... it made me think twice. It’s an interesting concept, though...

Or maybe Giuseppe Bergomi... 😎

but like someone already mentioned, that part near SC is just as ridiculous...😁

It's funny, sure, but at least they copied the original poster pretty closely. These guys just make up entirely new ones. It's great...

nimblemarlin17 said:The biggest issue with this new sequel is how easy those lob goals are. I have to agree. Hopefully, they fix that for the Microsoft version. Honestly, those original Japanese releases have always been my favorite versions of the game. They smooth out the stuttering, patch the bugs, and everything just works better.

It would also be great if they actually translated it into English. You always seem to have to wait for FIFA to get a decent English release. But fine, I'm not complaining...

FIFA is basically just ISS. This new one is absolutely killer. Yeah, it’s a bit tougher, but that actually makes it more interesting...

I can't stand Coldplay, but having The Postal Service, Shinsi, Remy Zero, and Colin Hay on here makes the soundtrack decent enough for me.

To be pedantic, though... The Postal Service isn't actually on the soundtrack. It's just an Iron & Wine cover of one of their songs.👋

Yeah, it’s a real shame Garden State wasn't on yesterday. I'm hoping they follow through on those half-promises and show it today. The documentary was solid, I'll give it that, it's just too bad the director showed up late and missed most of it...

steelstag4 said:Woohoo now 🙂
I can finally head to the Garden State tomorrow. I decided on today because I couldn't make it earlier🙂

One question—for those free screenings in SC (like Garden State and Supersize Me), do you need to pick up tickets beforehand or just show up?

Just show up and you're set. At least, that's what I was told...

I thought about going tonight, but I can't make it work. The schedule change is actually a relief...
Hopefully it won't be too crowded.😁

Anytime works for me. It's not like I have anything major going on at midnight, but tomorrow will definitely be way more crowded than tonight would have been.
