Great, then. Thanks.

One last question before I commit to Windows 7. My hard drive is partitioned into several sections. One drive holds nothing but the OS, while the others contain various files. If I install Windows 7 on the primary OS drive, will it leave the other partitions untouched? In my experience with Windows XP, when the system became unstable, I would simply perform a fresh installation on the OS drive without affecting the rest of the data. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to move everything to another computer before starting the installation.

Does anyone have a preference between Home Premium and Ultimate? My PC handles everything from general use to light work tasks.
Should I go with an upgrade or just buy the full version? I can afford either. Which one is actually better? Right now, I'm running a non-genuine version of Vista Ultimate.

Joy is my top pick. She always delivers. She’s just too good.

Taylor Swift As follows:
You have reruns of this series far too often. It is high time you gave a show like Alaska more promotion; first-time viewers would likely appreciate it. Honestly, Sex and the City has become tedious. I cannot fathom why some people who enjoy that show won't get bored watching four dull women over and over again. 😁

It is exactly like that Chinese beach on MTV. First, they aired it much earlier when people were actually watching it for the first time, but then they kept pushing it later and later, constantly forcing us to watch nothing but endless reruns of CSI.

nimbleheron6 As stated by:
Find me an example where FOX or a major network pulled a daily soap from the schedule or moved it to a dead zone after airing only TWO episodes.

The networks constantly preempt scheduled series for political conventions, sports, or some mindless concert held in honor of someone who passed away.
I suspect Torchwood was originally slated for the 8th or 9th slot before they abruptly pushed it to a graveyard time slot after just two episodes.

A few thoughts on life. This series is genuinely excellent, and I am glad they finally decided to bring it back into rotation. Honestly, an earlier time slot would have been more appropriate; it should definitely air before Sex and the City, if only because of the age rating. They could have easily slotted it in place of those reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond and The Cosby Show, or those failed attempts at American sitcoms.
Brittle, peeling nails: any tips? in Health ·
It could also be a fungal infection.
There are various medications available. Over-the-counter options include Belodin for acute reactions and Rinolan, which works wonders for allergic rhinitis; I use it occasionally and my symptoms clear up within a few days. Naturally, I have to avoid dust, pets, and other irritants. There are also prescription drugs that, if taken consistently, can significantly alleviate or even eliminate symptoms.
Once you identify your specific allergens, the best course of action is to consult a physician who can help you select the most effective treatment plan.
Dealing with allergic rhinitis? in Health ·
I suffer from allergic rhinitis and a deviated septum, and because of my allergies, I’m developing sinus polyps. I have already undergone surgery to remove polyps once, but I declined the septoplasty because I know some people find it doesn't help or even makes things worse. Additionally, due to all these issues, mucus builds up in the back of my throat, which triggers vomiting and forces me to cough it up constantly.
I want to know if consenting to the septoplasty will stop the polyps from growing and if it will finally resolve my throat issues.
I also have a secondary issue related to the deviation: my ears feel constantly clogged, and my hearing is impaired. Would correcting the deviation fix this?

My grandmother used to whip up batches of twenty bottles of syrup at a time, which would sit in the pantry all year long. It never spoiled. Sometimes they even lasted two years. As long as you keep them in a cool, dark spot, you don't have a single thing to worry about.
Dust mite allergy help needed in Health ·
I had kittens in my basement that were absolutely infested with fleas. Professional exterminators came by to spray the area, yet when I returned to the basement a week later for just five minutes, the problem persisted. By the time I got home, I had picked up so many fleas that I ended up soaking my entire apartment in Biokill. I then spent my time using a flashlight and tweezers to pick fleas off the floor, specifically so I could show the building manager exactly how poorly the pest control job was handled. I sprayed myself with Biokill as well.
It appears that in Kimberly Rogers2's case, we are dealing with mites. However, she should probably consult a dermatologist to have those bites examined, as it is difficult to be certain from this distance. Regardless, the beds should be sprayed with Biokill and thoroughly ventilated.
Anaphylactic reaction in Health ·
ambertinker77 said:What is this?
I wasn't sure where to direct this inquiry. The packaging states that individuals with a history of anaphylactic reactions to penicillin should avoid this medication. I have a known penicillin allergy.

Which antibiotic was it? And did you actually mention your penicillin allergy to your doctor? I have a penicillin allergy as well; for the longest time, I could take cephalosporins like Keflex without issue, but once I developed an allergy to those too, they rarely prescribe anything for me besides Sumamed.
Regarding anaphylactic reactions, the symptoms include shock, respiratory distress due to laryngeal edema, bronchospasm, skin changes such as urticaria, and gastrointestinal distress.

Sandra Richardson82 said:I am also curious about who exactly determines whether an individual is allergic to a substance. What specific criteria must be met to be classified as having an allergy? It seems as though half the world claims to be allergic to penicillin, yet the actual incidence of all types of reactions within the global population ranges from only 0.5% to 10%.

There are five distinct stages of anaphylaxis. Each stage presents specific, characteristic general symptoms that occur across all types of allergic reactions.
In stage 0, any local reaction is confined strictly to the contact site and remains clinically insignificant.
Initial symptoms involve mild systemic reactions, including skin rashes, itching, mucosal irritation, headaches, and nausea.
In stage two, patients experience milder circulatory issues and slight pulmonary disturbances, such as shortness of breath or bronchospasm, along with certain autonomic responses like the urge to urinate or defecate.
In stage three, circulatory failure symptoms become evident—resulting in shock, severe respiratory distress, and loss of consciousness.
In stage 4, vital functions fail—specifically cardiac arrest, circulatory collapse, and respiratory failure.
Moldy freezer - help! in Miscellaneous ·
I finally killed off the mold. I couldn't stand the smell anymore. I'm going to try washing it with an unknown cleaner; hopefully, it won't be as bad so I can let it air out for another three days.
Moldy freezer - help! in Miscellaneous ·
I recently defrosted a freezer unit in an apartment I don't live in. I unplugged it and laid down towels to catch the runoff, but since the tenants haven't bothered to check on the place, it sat there long enough to grow mold and develop a revolting stench. I have tried scrubbing it multiple times with vinegar and lemon juice, and I even tried burning sage inside to absorb the odor, but nothing works. My brother suggested leaving a sliced apple inside, but that hasn't helped either. Currently, I've applied some menthol essential oil and hope it masks the smell, though I am skeptical. Does anyone have any actual solutions? Please help; the smell is unbearable.

Those idiots at CNN could have at least given us a heads-up that new episodes were airing, rather than letting people assume they were just reruns like everything else.

Otherwise, an excellent episode..

Ben has blue blood as well. They acquired that blood after they killed management and Scudera.
Today was the finale, and I must say I am completely disappointed. I waited so long for this mindless conclusion, only to be met with total letdown. 😕 😕 I hope they left the ending this way in hopes of filming more seasons, because nothing has actually been resolved.
Carnival (2003-2005) in TV Series ·
I actually think this series is great. However, it’s starting to feel a bit tedious because there hasn't been any real progression or action for several episodes now; nothing is happening. Yesterday's installment was a complete disappointment. I understand the plot is meant to unfold gradually, but does it really have to be this slow? They could afford to pick up the pace. I'm left wondering if they will finally explain what happened with the Scuderi, or how the kid and the preacher are connected beyond the obvious dynamic of a young hero versus a priest villain. Plus, everyone seems obsessed with the boy—Sophie's mother, the administration, Blinking...
Barack Obama juice in Random / Off-topic ·
I know my grandmother used to make that juice; I absolutely loved it. I had no clue it was such a hit with everyone else, since nobody in my immediate circle cared for it.

It was the exact same experience for me. My grandmother also used to craft a rose petal syrup, though I don't have the recipe on hand. All I recall is letting it sit for 24 hours before it was ready to drink, and it was delicious. Does anyone happen to have a recipe for that syrup?
Weight loss pills: What actually works? in Health ·
I am primarily referring to those products featured in magazines, such as pineapple extracts and similar supplements. They all come from that one biotech firm, I believe—one located somewhere near Columbus or Indianapolis.
Weight loss pills: What actually works? in Health ·
These pills might help you drop weight rapidly—say, 10 pounds in a week or 60 pounds in a month—but they will likely cause severe liver damage. Toxins accumulate in fat tissue, and if you strip that fat away too quickly, those toxins migrate straight to your liver. A healthy individual can lose about 10 pounds a month, but nothing more. All those "miracle" slimming teas act as diuretics, meaning you are simply losing water rather than actual fat. The most effective approach is clearly combining a balanced diet with physical activity. This doesn't mean you need to become an exercise fanatic or starve yourself; you should eat in moderation, avoid extremes, stop eating at least three hours before bed, and keep your evening meals light. As for exercise, start with brisk walks or basic stretching in the morning and evening, then gradually increase the intensity. The smartest move is to consult a nutritionist to create a meal plan you actually enjoy, paired with activities you like, such as swimming, rollerblading, or cycling.
