Does anyone know where I can pick up some pipe tobacco around town? And hey, please explain it to me like I’m five... give me the exact spots and tell me what I actually need to look out for when I'm buying stuff 😁.
Even better if someone happens to know where to find the good stuff over in Chicago.

It’s pretty wild how someone using a tiny, derogatory slur like
little Muslims to address people—while being the person who supposedly moderates the Religion sub on Reddit—goes completely unnoticed. It’s just crazy...
Compared to that, this post by Radeta is nothing... just a total joke.
Anyone can mess up, and some people definitely do (oh yeah, Bradley Davis33...)
In what context does that comment even apply to me?
dustybear7 said:I followed the moderator's advice and sent you a private message

so I guess I'll just address you here instead
Try to be consistent with yourself for once
Don't cling so desperately to your own "wisdom" just because you can't control your ego
Try being more of a woman (the way God intended us to be) and less of a... (honestly, there's only one word for it, but I better shut up before the mods ban me. Plus, people will just say, "Oh look, she thinks she's such a devout Muslim, yet she talks like that")
Well, they'll see who she really is without me even saying it, I bet
Such an "ambitious" lady!
Wishing you all the best!!!!
Try acting more like a woman (the way God intended) and less like... (there's really just one word to describe how rude that was, but I'll bite my tongue looking at this. And then they'll go, "Oh, look at her pretending to be a devout Muslim while saying such nasty things")
she’d be easy to spot even without those words, I bet...
such an ambitious lady!
wishing you all the best!!!!
Now that's what I call being consistent.
Is it really worth biting your tongue just to stay "consistent"... oh, housewife...
If you're gonna be rude, just be rude... be consistent, housewife... truly domestic.

Is it okay if I ever mention in real life that we exchanged messages via DM 😍, since you were the one who reached out, just so people know I'm not some total loser?
For what it's worth, I'm not a boycotter either—that's a connection I'm actually proud of.
Peace be upon you.
🙂
Nah, honestly, I’m not even trying to be humble. But hey, I’m working on it...
Can I actually say that in real life—like, "Hey, we've been messaging on DM"...? 😍Since you asked, I'll just say this—I'm definitely not totally clueless...
Anything that makes you happy... and I might just be able to help with that!... 😍
Actually, if you’re cool with it, I’d love to go one step further and just copy-paste this whole conversation into a new thread—it would be my idea, and I’ll make sure to ask nicely first! I also really want to dive deeper into that concept... like, is a woman even considered a Muslim while she isn't wearing a hijab, or is it more like what you were saying...
Like Bajagi being a Muslim... lol....
And just so nobody gets the wrong idea and thinks we were actually messaging privately—please, let’s keep that out of it! I definitely wasn't the one reaching out... I just wanted to make sure we stay focused on the actual topic: whether a person is still considered a Muslim while they're actively sinning...
So... is my initiative enough? I just don't want us to end up like those half-hearted Muslims, you know...? 😍
I'm definitely not a boycotter either... that connection is something I'm actually really proud of!
You make us all so proud. I'm totally sure of it...
Aleikum!
🙂
Aleikum Assalam!
🙂
Wait, what kind of attitude is that? Who am I even accusing here...?
I honestly can’t decide if this whole thing is hilarious or just plain sad.
If I say it’s funny, I’ll just get hit with a wave of insults flying everywhere, and then I won’t be smiling anymore.
But if I say it’s sad, I realize all these users actually have the luxury of obsessing over every little thing happening on Reddit with such intense passion... and I should just thank God that I can afford to treat this forum like it's their biggest problem. Like, chill out!
Through all this, I’m still fascinated by the whole pack mentality and the cliques.
Oh, please, I am *not* going to use the term hypocritical mob mentality again, because someone would probably take offense and claim I have bad intentions. Apparently, I'm known for those. ☕
Because my memory is actually pretty sharp, and I remember warning rowdyhawk10 about being biased and non-objective in topics like, say, "Wahhabi Corner." Everyone else just stayed quiet (except maybe Scott Nguyen2, I think), and they were having a blast at the time.
I also remember the insults flying left and right during those Sufi vs. Salafi showdowns. I saw the exact same level of communication from both sides, even though I really expected some decency and gentleness from one group. And back then, nobody complained that the number of bans from the other side was way higher.
So, this current situation has me feeling a bit confused.
Especially when you consider how we even got here in the first place.
It all kicked off once the discussion wrapped up following the official statement from the Islamic Community of America. No, the argument was basically... well, the community can't react any other way; they aren't going to go out and start throwing punches.
Give me a break!
A lot of the blame is being pinned on ruggedwolf. Could ruggedwolf have just debated herself? And did ruggedwolf actually debate herself?
Not saying anything about comments like "half-sibling," "God will humble you more than you already are," or addressing Sunnah with a tone of "I wouldn't want to be in your shoes..." as if any of us care what anyone else is wearing... I don't want to explain why I didn't react to that stuff. It's too depressing.
The moderation is bad. There have always been issues with moderating the Religion section—I've been writing here for four years, so I think I'm qualified to say that.
rowdyhawk10, you are subjective about certain issues, and I suggested a long time ago that you can't participate in certain discussions as both a regular user and a moderator. I even suggested you shouldn't moderate threads where you obviously can't stay objective, but nobody agreed with me back then.
But what "golden age" of moderating Religion are we talking about that makes this current state such a shock?
In my early years on this forum, I read things that were way worse, and they were totally allowed.
This whole forum boycott makes zero sense to me. 😕
I guess I write because it gives me pleasure and because I feel like I have something to say.
Once it stops being fun, I'll stop writing without making a big deal out of it. I won't be sitting around expecting someone to convince me to stay.
Basically, I find it hard to believe we're capable of getting this worked up over forum debates.
It just goes to show how much we all love reading what we write, how convinced we are that our opinions are incredibly important, and how vital, vital, vital we think we are... that we can end up with this kind of mutual hatred just defending our internet arguments.
slydriver17 said:Just imagine what a little bit of nature can actually accomplish. 😂 Isn't it perfectly logical that any organic substance possesses unique properties that trigger a reaction when combined with certain elements?
And then there's "Sex and the City"—that supposed ultra-fancy, transcendent experience where you're basically a deity of passion, eternally enamored because some master of intimacy guides you into higher realms.😁
Franklin, my dear... whether it makes sense or not, or if there's a reaction or not—nothing is getting written on my lips! 😁
Quincy:
| And Sex and the City is just super extra fancy. You're basically the god of love and everything, totally head over heels once a master takes you to those higher levels...😁 |
Ahhh... so we're talking Tantric sex... that's so Sting 😍 ... all those wild moves and tricks...

He claims urine has great benefits for the physical body because it's packed with minerals perfectly prepared for consumption—pure alchemy. ROFL.
A few years back, some girl dead-seriously suggested I rub urine on a cold sore on my lip 😲
Anyway... can someone explain this weirdness to me? Is this just what they call Sex and the City?
Paul Campbell3 said:I actually do yoga through my first, second, and third days—and even beyond that. Honestly, any kind of physical or spiritual activity helps level out those hormonal shifts. If the pain gets too intense, I just take an Advil.
Like I said, it’s different for everyone.
For me, not being tied to a specific physical ritual for prayer is such a relief, but I don't think prayer has to be strictly limited to one set way of moving, either...
And honestly, trying to go through a formal physical prayer routine while popping painkillers? That's just not for me, and I don't really see the point...
Richard Walker79 said:It is all perfectly natural and normal; we just need people to actually accept it as such.
Of course it's natural and normal... but let me tell you, bleeding from your genitals isn't exactly the most pleasant feeling in the world! It's not "abnormal"—it's just super uncomfortable.
There's nothing more natural or normal than childbirth and those intense labor pains—and they still hurt... a lot.
electricbadger47 said:Can someone please make sense of why some—or actually, all—of the major world religions have such a massive problem with women on their periods? You aren't allowed to pray, you have to isolate yourself, you’re "unclean"... I get that hormones might throw off your energy levels a bit, but does that really mean I'm suddenly incapable or something? It's ridiculous. And then there's Islam, where apparently God forbade women from praying altogether (as if, what, God doesn't even notice a woman is having a period??!!).
Look... every woman deals with her period differently, but honestly, trying to perform Salah (Islamic prayer) would be pure torture for me, especially during those first two days...
And Salah isn't the only way to pray, right?
I'm pretty sure the Quran doesn't actually define menstruation as "unclean," just more like an inconvenience... and let's be real, it is! Those hormone swings causing emotional sensitivity are a total drag, and don't even get me started on cramps—I wouldn't sign up for that if I could help it...
blueheron46 said:both parents have diabetes, but he’s totally fine! He eats healthy and doesn't do any heavy lifting... plus, he sticks to his scheduled meal times... 😢
Something’s definitely up then. He should probably get his blood sugar checked—sudden weight loss can be a huge red flag for diabetes.
Or maybe check for intestinal parasites? 🤷
Because if he's only eating twice a day, even if it's small portions, and he isn't working himself to the bone... losing that much weight just isn't normal...
blueheron46 said:he dropped 18 pounds in just one week!
I’m not even sure that’s physically possible unless someone is basically starving themselves or training like an Olympic athlete 24/7...
I really hope he doesn't have some underlying health issues going on... does anyone know if there's a history of diabetes in his family?
Oh, totally, definitely go for a physical therapist. Most people at those spas are just there to chill out...
David Stewart23 said:Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else here has dealt with something similar lately... For the past few days, I’ve been getting these intense headaches out of nowhere at least twice a day, and then the pain starts spreading down into my neck and shoulders. It honestly feels like a nerve is getting pinched somewhere in that area—sometimes it’s the neck, sometimes it’s the shoulder—and there are times when I can't even turn my head or shrug my shoulders without feeling this sharp, stabbing pain for a few minutes. I really don't want to go running to the doctor immediately unless I have to, so I wanted to see if any of you have gone through this and how you managed to fix it? Thanks!😕
Those headaches are probably coming from spine issues or just bad posture...
Maybe a professional massage, watching your posture, or sleeping on a totally flat surface... might help ease things up...
Gotta get my blood work done. Check those iron levels...
I gotta point out, you’ve got a few hiccups in your steps here.
The whole point isn't about stuffing your face during Iftar (breaking the fast) or wrecking your system, but rather staying within those boundaries of modesty as much as you possibly can.
If you can swing it, it's best to just break your fast with some water (or dates, or whatever...), hit your Maghrib prayers, and then finally eat—in moderation.
Because at the end of the day, the whole idea is to actually feel that hunger, to connect with people who don't even have the luxury of fasting for 30 days...
Only when your Iftars and Suhoors are light and simple—just enough to take the edge off—combined with all your prayers (both obligatory and optional), does the whole thing really start to feel relaxing and detoxifying for your body and soul.
mistybison said:I don't eat eggs every single day, and my cholesterol levels are totally fine, but I’m curious about what the healthy sweet spot is. Is it once a week? Every few days? Or just daily? What do you guys recommend?
I'd say hitting them about 3-4 times a week is the way to go. I mean, the yolk is basically a cholesterol bomb, but most experts say individual foods don't impact your numbers nearly as much as long-term habits—like eating way more calories than you burn or overloading on saturated fats... anyway, stick to 3-4 a week!
So, what’s your cholesterol looking like these days?
I think I read somewhere once that eating seven eggs a week might be pushing it too far (even if your body doesn't actually absorb all that dietary cholesterol)... so do you ever just skip the yolks on certain days?
