I've been absolutely crushing it on just 4 to 6 hours of sleep for about three weeks now.
But I know it’s just a phase... I'll probably be crawling back to my usual 8 or 9 hours pretty soon... it feels totally gross when I'm running on empty for too long.
Everything feels like it's in slow motion, almost like I'm floating outside my own body... like I'm listening to someone else's voice, which is actually kinda trippy... plus, my pain tolerance is through the roof, it's like my body doesn't even belong to me anymore.

Could be! I don't really recall that specific "little detail" 😳

I totally remember back in pharmacology class, we used to inject mice with different substances to track how they acted, and the ones on caffeine were hands down the craziest little things ever 😈

Honestly 😁
I feel like if I downed 5 or 6 cups of my coffee, I’d be buzzing around like a hummingbird!
Plus, drinking coffee is a whole ritual for me. I can't just grab it on the run, so having it too often wouldn't even work with my schedule...

Oh man, you totally get hooked though... if I miss my cup or forget, the headache is absolutely brutal.
But hey, coffee is just my vibe, so I'm not even trying to quit...

How about you guys?

Usually I just grab two cups in the afternoon... maybe one in the morning if I'm feeling it, but rarely.
I definitely can't do coffee on an empty stomach!
Quick weight loss tips? in Health ·
Auh, wait, I read somewhere that you lost about 70 pounds in two months... are you telling me you did that in just one month!?
No way!

Are you kidding me right now?
Is there maybe a zero missing before or after that 2?

I mean, how are you even supposed to lose weight that fast... it's not like you gained all that weight overnight, it took actual sweat and hard work🙂 😁

* Get those 7-8 hours of sleep regularly
* Move your body for at least 30 mins every day
* Don't skip breakfast
* Chug about 8 glasses of water daily
* Eat five smaller meals throughout the day
* Skip the snacking, greasy stuff, salt, and sugar
* Load up on fruits and veggies every single day
* Keep your weight in a healthy range
* Dodge stressful situations and learn how to chill out
* Don't smoke Marlboros
* Drink alcohol in moderation or just skip it entirely

Anyone actually sticking to these little tips I listed?

- Sometimes I only get 4 hours, or even pull an all-nighter (which means I totally crash during my finals 😁), then other times I'll sleep for 10 hours straight... but let's just say I average about 8 hours.
- If you count vacuuming, doing dishes, ironing, and sprinting to catch the bus... it’s definitely more than 30 minutes! 😁
- I skip breakfast
- I usually only eat twice a day
- I don't really like greasy food, I don't add extra salt, and I can go a long time without sweets—but once I start, I'm unstoppable...
- I can't live without apples, and fresh cabbage is my jam
- My weight kind of fluctuates, so I have to watch it
- It's hard to avoid stress, but I'm pretty good at handling it (mostly)
- I don't smoke
- I've never been an alcohol drinker.

I really need to be better about what I eat (since I forget to eat all day and then overdo it in the afternoon), and I feel like I need more exercise too. It also bugs me that I need so much sleep... if I don't get enough, I'm useless, and sometimes even 8 hours isn't enough... so, yeah, that's where I'm at.
Dry / Chapped Lips in Health ·
Honestly, Neven's salve is my absolute lifesaver every single winter... I feel like using all those different lip balms like ChapStick or Burt's Bees just makes everything worse.
Vaseline is alright too... but I just can't stand the smell.

So, what's the deal with noni juice?

The microbes strike back... you really thought you could build a reputation on them without consequences!

Seriously though, stop trying to play doctor with yourself and go see a physician tomorrow.
And for that butt soreness? Just grab some almond balm.

Okay, come on... just admit you're actually studying for a microbiology exam and this is just your way of testing yourself! 😁

Sandra Lewis51 said:But why wouldn't that flu I caught that one night be linked to the virus finally kicking in? Honestly, it was that sickness that made me suspicious enough to actually go get tested...

It's just because I don't buy that the virus suddenly woke up after a month and a half and immediately tanked your immune system like that.
Anything from five years ago is a whole different story... and it doesn't mean you'd feel symptoms right away—the virus can stay dormant for years.
But right now, we're just guessing--there isn't much you can do besides wait for the results, keep testing, and try your absolute hardest not to freak out (which I know is basically impossible) because stress totally wreaks havoc on your immune system. That just makes you worry more, and then you're stuck in this endless loop...
Fingers crossed for the best.
Question regarding SIDE in Health ·
Look... there’s definitely a chance you could have caught something, especially since you already went in for testing—just try to stay chill until the results come back (the thing is, you're probably looking at waiting a few months before you know for sure).
And Rachel Brooks63 was totally right about the fever and chills thing—they don't actually mean anything specific... honestly, it might just be in your head at this point.
Good luck.

(really hoping you'll be more careful with future partners, though!)

Anyway, back to the wound stuff. I heard that back in the day, people out in the rural areas used to let their dogs lick their wounds to help them heal faster.
😲

Ugh, you and your crazy home remedies!😁
I don't know... I grew up in a small town too, but I've never heard of that one.
I *do* know about stopping a nosebleed by stuffing a little bit of cigarette tobacco up there, though.
And I heard that for a toothache, you're supposed to shove a clove of garlic in your ear (I was way too scared to ask how that even works!).

I also knew this girl who had some seriously nasty burns on her arm (like, really bad), and her mom used to rub this mixture of olive oil and lime water on it—it turns into a kind of gel—and she doesn't have a single scar now!👍 (Meanwhile, I've been stuck with a scar for years just from a tiny burn from an iron...)

Oh my god... well, at least you weren't drinking from some virgin spring in the Rockies where they only pee after midnight 😁
Seriously though, my mom always says—beauty is pain!

Gary Miller61 said:...and when you slice it open, this white liquid just oozes out of it.
Plus, it shows up on pretty much everything else besides carrots and parsley

I honestly can't remember if it was white... maybe from the stem? I usually just crush the whole plant—mostly the leaves—so I mostly get a green juice.
And yeah, it definitely pops up on all sorts of crops.
But man, it really works, so I don't mind the extra effort at all...😁
