Weekend Topic: Predictions for next week in Stocks ·
Ronald Hayes said:Monday's over, but I’m still buzzing from everything that went down.
What does Tuesday actually have in store for us? A continued recovery? I doubt it. More shedding? Maybe. Smooth sailing through calm waters? Honestly, that's something only the big hedge funds and the top-tier pros can pull off.
For the rest of us, it's just a matter of playing the waiting game and praying for a turnaround.

P.S. I'm taking my lumps right now, but I've got plenty of dry powder ready to go once some decent deals pop up mid-week.

Hope your Tuesday involves way less staring at the ticker. 😁
Is Michael Bay actually a bad director? in Movies ·
George Alvarez3 said:Yeah, by the way, I honestly think it’s just plain rude and low-class to walk out of a movie theater halfway through, no matter how bad the flick is.

Oh, I totally get that. Honestly? Walking out isn't just tacky and trashy—it’s childish and a total waste of money, too. Plus, it’s just pure ego—arrogant, self-important, and pretty insulting to everyone else.

Me? I’m never leaving the theater. I’m the captain who stays with the ship until the very end—if the place caught fire, I’d probably be stuck there trying to fight the flames, right? I'm that type of guy—I live and breathe movies.

So, just imagine how much of a powerhouse this director must be... if they actually managed to make me swallow my pride, break all my own rules, and act like some unrefined, rude jerk.

The greatest director on the planet!

Honestly, Michael Bay is easily my favorite director ever—mostly because he’s the only one who actually managed to kick me out of a theater. Seriously, nothing before or after Armageddon could ever make me walk out. But Armageddon...

Well, now, isn't that just a bit of a chuckle? One can't help but smile at such a spontaneous outburst of mirth, can one? It truly makes one wonder what sparked such a sudden moment of levity. As stated by:
Good grief... she’s finally seeing clearly.😁

It seems it would have taken a journalist to actually shine a spotlight on Des Moines before anyone bothered to take notice. 😁

Des Moines is gonna lead us straight into Europe. Honestly, who knew we shouldn't have waited this long to put someone from Des Moines in the Administration? We would’ve been part of the global scene ages ago.

But seriously—all jokes aside—that weird little local chauvinism directed at Bajs really bugs me. It’s like people think he doesn't meet some genetic requirement to be the Secretary of Commerce. As if the main qualification should just be being born in Florida or California.

Look, guys, let’s face the music here—if people from Florida or California actually knew what they were doing, our tourism industry wouldn't be where it is today... it might even be a bit better.

What does a guy from Florida know about the ocean? He probably thinks it's just one giant toilet for when he needs to go, for crying out loud.

You know that old saying—Florida would be great if it weren't for all those Floridians...

Oops—was that the same kind of local chauvinism I was just complaining about the journalists for?

😁 😁 🙂
I mean, it took us months just to switch from calling someone a war criminal to saying they were merely SUSPECTED of one. And did any editors lose their jobs? Not a single one. God forbid we actually demand accountability from the press—we’d be branded as anti-democratic extremists overnight.

Or take Britney Spears... Heaven forbid anyone wonders why her face is plastered on every front page. We'd be viewed as even bigger enemies of freedom than the leadership in Iran...
I've been wondering—who actually holds journalists accountable? Is there even a real way to check them?

Right now, it feels like any reporter can just launch an attack on whoever they want, regardless of whether they’re actually telling the truth or not.

Honestly, criticizing the media feels like an attack on democracy sometimes—probably because we're still stuck in old ways of thinking. Journalists have basically become untouchable, almost like the Church used to be.

Like, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times can claim that America doesn't need a Secretary of Commerce who grew up in some tiny rural town, but you'll rarely see anyone call out a columnist for, say, barely scraping through middle school with failing grades.

We get to swap out politicians every four years through voting, sure, but journalists? They only get replaced if their boss decides to let them go—and those decisions are usually based on much shadier motives.

Is there any kind of actual safeguard to protect us from bad journalism?
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Rachel Torres said:Hey ladies! Last month I had some light spotting between periods, and then this month I ended up getting my actual period twice. I went for a checkup about 6 months ago and everything seemed fine—though maybe the doctor didn't give me a super thorough exam. I'm definitely planning to head back in for another visit, but in the meantime, has anyone else dealt with something like this? Any guesses on what might be going on?

Whatever it is, it isn't a period. A half-period, a double-period... but it's just not a normal period! 🙂

If you ask me—not that my opinion matters much—deleting cosmicskipper55's post and giving him a heads-up should have done the trick. I don't think jumping straight to a ban was really necessary, you know?

I honestly think the penalty is way too harsh. Personally, I’d just give them a serious warning about how we handle discussions here. I'm gonna try to get this overturned ASAP.

That post isn't showing up—looks like it was deleted. If you can still see it, just drop the link here.

neontinker5 said:That first scene—you know, where he disguises the cat as a mouse, then ends up basically blow-drying the snake? 🤣 🙏

I mean, honestly, how much protection were they actually wearing during that stunt?

Party Boy was covered—he actually used a condom in that first scene.
Wild Horde is a total slam dunk—way less gambling involved compared to Once Upon a Time in the Wild West. No slow shots or dragging things out here.

You can tell right from the opening scenes. In Wild Horde, kids are just blasting scorpions with guns. It’s a given the scorpion's toast, just like it's a given that the Wild Horde is gonna pull it off.

But with Leone? You've got flies messing with one gunslinger, then droplets bothering another... I don't even know what's messing with the third guy, but before you know it, those three are getting their asses handed to them by Charles Bronson, and that's pretty much the end of their luck.

but who's gonna kill the audience?
btw, what even is that?
gonna go watch a bit more..

Man, who cares about killing the audience? Seriously? Just grab a camera, film your neighbor for a week, and boom—you've got The Last Days. Might even snag an Oscar now that Gus has totally lost it.

Is this the finale for his "kill the audience" trilogy?

Last summer I lent Robert De Niro my lawnmower—and then totally forgot to tell Angelina to check his pockets before she did the laundry... talk about a mess, right?

Has anyone here actually tried, and more importantly, did anyone actually pull it off? ? ?

I’m leaning toward "no way," though I haven't really put in the work to find out.

It’s not impossible. Jack Nicholson actually helped me pick grapes last summer. Good guy—just don't let him have too many drinks...

Some indecisive, lying woman just totally wrecked another guy's life. Tristan finally chose his career over her—and even though he died, honestly? It was probably the right call.

Why though? Did it not click the first time, so now you're looking for someone to explain it to you? Just head to a local church—they've already done the homework. 😁

Look, I’m not twisting Jesus' words—I’m just reacting to what you actually said. As for whether Jesus is speaking through you... honestly, I'll pass on that one. You've got sexism running through your veins and you don't even realize it.

Let's be real though—Jesus knew exactly who those women were.
