In Washington, D.C. You can find it in other cities too. Just ask someone, or better yet, take a quick look on the shelves.
Mean Girls in Movies ·
Mean Girls kicks ass. It's such a unique teen movie.
It's been out in video stores for over six months now, available on both DVD and VHS.
Carnival (2003-2005) in TV Series ·
Since we're talking about HBO, I'm confident the story will stay engaging for at least three seasons.
Even if they do manage to release episodes on a regular schedule...

Thank you M'lady.

It's terrible; does a person really have to die just because the Pope dies?
The last few days have been awful. I'm seeing the same news every half hour, there isn't a single movie playing, and the local AMC Theatres are all closed.
One word: terrible.

You can always start your own non-profit organization.

Everyone complains so much, yet when I head to the movies early in the week (not this week) at any theater, they're completely empty.
Go to the independent theaters and save them from going under.
Everyone loves to trash AMC Theatres saying they aren't worth it and that nobody should go there, but suddenly the only thing that wasn't working was that one multiplex miracle.

I wouldn't add anyone else to the list, but I would definitely take Moore out.

...
well, you don't see this part in the movie either..
and the director is the only one to blame for that..

I won't remember this movie for anything at all...

That's exactly what I was saying.

But hey, I'll certainly remember how fast those three hours flew by.

It reminds me of that one movie about Howard Hughes where he’s wandering around Texas like a billionaire, spends some time with a regular American guy, and hands him a bunch of cash, only for the courts to completely ruin that guy's life.
That was actually an interesting film.

I'm hoping Million Dollar Baby turns out to be much better.
Leonardo DiCaprio in Aviator in Movies ·
Jose Miller17 said:[He should probably get well since 'Ava' 😁😁😁 told him she was going to wash up...]

He didn't really recover; he retreated to his apartment in '66 and stayed there until his death in '76. He was actually so unrecognizable that they had to identify him via fingerprints.

Howard Hughes is a decent enough movie, nothing more. Leonardo DiCaprio is good, but that’s about it. The female roles are completely undervalued and so minor they barely matter—the only one with any screen time is Katherine Hepburn (that one scene with Spencer Tracy was totally unnecessary), and Martin Scorsese filmed something that doesn't even feel like his style, which is a shame and nothing more.
He's sold out so much lately; I suppose they'll just hand him that little trophy so they don't have to give him an award for a lifetime achievement.

The entire life of Hughes was a sick ride, and if they had paid attention to his whole life instead of just the planes and the movies, they might have had much better material.
...but the movie flies by for its 170 minutes(!)

I caught it at the Sundance Film Festival. I’m actually heading back to see it again today. It's definitely worth your time. Is that enough persuasion for you?
Vera Drake in Movies ·
I'm curious about why that wealthy woman in Vera Drake just disappears halfway through the movie after she goes to see that fancy doctor for an abortion?

Was she only included to highlight how expensive it is to have the procedure done legally?
Or was it because Vera was cleaning her house, so the camera simply stayed glued to her?

Brenda Rodriguez17 said:Of course he said it without thinking. He genuinely meant it—it’s his best Christmas ever. But he clearly didn't stop to consider how that exact same Christmas feels for everyone else. 🙂

p.s. And yeah, all 8 people in the theater were laughing, haha.

When I saw it, at least 15 people laughed.
I couldn't believe there were actually that many people.

Otherwise, it's an excellent film; Vera Drake blew me away, especially in the second half.
Actually, the entire cast was superb, which doesn't happen often—not even in Hollywood movies.
The first one was great.
The second was just okay.

Both movies are saved by the acting.

The Incredibles in Movies ·
Even Sky Captain doesn't have too much going for it.

An amazing animated film!
I mean, calling this an "animated movie" feels like an understatement; it’s more convincing than 90 percent of Hollywood live-action films.
It's funny as hell—and I don't mean for kids, but more for us older folks.
Luckily, they have subtitled screenings available; I honestly can't imagine how our local voice actors would even handle this one.
Actually, I do know.

Just give them the Oscar already!

The Incredibles in Movies ·
I can't stand watching American animated movies dubbed; the essence just gets lost in translation when you move away from the original voice acting.

Cinestar will be showing the version in its original English audio.
It's just like when they released Shrek and Finding Nemo.
This movie absolutely rocks! 1!!_!!_""_!_!"!"_!"!"bšćč3.

It's been at least a year since I felt this satisfied walking out of a movie theater.
Even Lord of the Rings got a nod in comparison.-
The whole film be perfect.

From the very first scene right through to the end.

I actually found myself laughing at some of the jokes they intentionally tucked in there.

So, when is the sequel coming?=?
I had a feeling this would turn out to be a great movie.
The title was actually quite a lot.

Roughly how long is the runtime?

I don't want to start a whole new thread here, but does anyone know the title of that recent Japanese film starring a blind samurai? I caught a review about it on CNN the other day, but I couldn't quite make out which movie they were talking about!

It's Zatoichi, directed by and starring Takeshi Kitano.
He rulz, rocks...and totaly rulz again.
