I’ve been dealing with some pretty rough lower back issues lately—specifically the lumbar region. And just when I thought I was getting back into a workout routine after finishing physical therapy, my knee decided to flare up on me too. I feel like I've tried everything under the sun... I even tried taking beef gelatin. I’ve also ordered glucosamine several times through Nature's Bounty. https://hr.iherb.com/pr/doctor-s-bes...veggie-caps/22 A few times, I actually went out and bought some Flexit gold fish collagen because some guys I know—the type who spend all their time lifting heavy weights or nursing old sports injuries—recommended it. The good news is my knee feels great now. It fully recovered... though my back is still hit or miss. I'll probably always have issues there since I'm dealing with three herniated discs, but honestly, I think this glucosamine might be helping a bit... I usually take a break for about a month and then start up again. Most of us spend way too much time sitting down. My doctor keeps telling me I need to walk as much as possible. Because of my spine issues, I can't really go out for a run or ride a motorcycle, but the advice I got was that even when the pain is at its worst, you still need to stand up and get some steps in. My job involves being at a computer all day, and let me tell you, those office chairs are basically a slow death sentence. I'm sure plenty of people here deal with similar struggles regarding their lower back or neck... Also, we all know weight management is important—it's just common sense. My weight is okay, but whenever the pain gets so bad that it practically paralyzes me, I find myself thinking, "Thank God I'm only a couple of pounds over." If I were significantly heavier, I think the strain would be even worse... Anyway, give it a shot, folks—maybe it’ll help you too. We really need to make movement a priority instead of constantly looking for excuses to stay sedentary.
I was actually thinking about forcing myself to sit down and watch the movie, but honestly, I’ve lost interest now since Brad decided to skip America again. 🤮 I really need to get him more caught up on the propaganda side of things. 🤮
Anyone else who grew up loving the story of Robin Hood feeling totally let down? This movie just doesn't vibe with the legend at all. I mean—in my head, I’ll always see that iconic moment where Little John and Robin first cross paths on the log 😁, or the way things go down with Friar Tuck and Robin... they just didn't meet like that here... 🙂
Now, Russell Crowe is incredibly sexy... 😍 even if he is pushing fifty—I won't count—and I don't regret seeing this on the big screen. There's just a certain magic to the theater that you can't replicate at home. It's just that there are far too many battles that feel completely unnecessary. A few shots actually reminded me of Braveheart, and some even felt a bit like Lord of the Rings 😵. In my honest opinion, the movie shouldn't have been titled Robin Hood; if they had just called it something else, it would have worked fine... 😬 people would have expected something different. Which, honestly, is what we ended up watching anyway. Because when it comes to Robin Hood, the only part that really feels like the story is that final scene.
But hey, look, they took a different approach like they said they would. And honestly, if it wasn't for Russell, this movie would have been twice as bad. As for my definitive vote for Robin? It stays with Kevin Costner. Now *that* was a real story! 🙏
I was watching the movie Judah with Kate Winslet on TV the other day, and honestly—it completely floored me right near the end. It was one of those moments where you just sit there stunned... maybe even someone with a dark streak was watching the same thing at the exact same time. 😢 I can’t quite wrap my head around the logic of why it hit me so hard, but even if it was just a coincidence, as soon as I started reading about this accident on the news sites, I felt this sudden chill. That movie just flashed right back into my mind... it was genuinely unsettling.
rapidbear20 said:—well, Michael Moore, the guy with the hat... I haven't actually watched but after reading through your posts, I can't help but wonder how doctors in America can have the heart to screw people over like that... what happened to the Hippocratic Oath?
that’s exactly what’s been rattling around in my head this whole time—it feels like nobody actually understands the Hippocratic Oath or the true purpose of medicine anymore. These doctors go through these noble programs—learning how to heal people, how to actually help the sick—and yet they end up acting like nothing more than cold bureaucrats or Wall Street speculators. 🙄 In those messy ER dramas, like Chicago Hope or ER, they never show the dark side of it all... instead, it's always just a parade of merciful, saintly American doctors and Nightingale-style nurses... 🤷 yeah, right... ☕ it really feels like the US is losing its way.🤷
because it seems like the rest of the world has set up their healthcare systems with the exact same "less is more" mentality... 🙏

I was thinking about what the Celtic tribes or the Romans used back in the day... I actually use it myself, but I can never seem to keep the American name straight in my head..
You guys were talking about locking doors and leaving food untouched—it’s funny because honestly, you never see anyone actually lock their front door in American movies! And as for the whole "not eating" thing, it’s not like people just skip lunch at a diner; it’s more like they never get a chance to sit down for a proper meal. You know, not even a home-cooked breakfast—the kind where Mom’s been up since 5:00 AM flipping bacon and pancakes—because everyone is too busy bickering, rushing off to work, sprinting for the school bus, or, well, getting abducted by aliens. Freddy Krueger and Jordan Peterson 13 😉 just never die.
Sad just kind of sticks with you for the rest of your life... it catches you off guard several times a day whenever those memories of people we loved drift back in... I guess you just eventually learn how to carry it with you.
Does anyone know where I can find that song Time ’s a wasting —you know, the very first one Johnny & June sang together? It isn't one of Johnny's solo tracks... and I've been searching all over the internet but I just can't seem to track it down..
I just finished watching the movie. Personally, I loved it... there was this undeniable chemistry between them during the musical numbers. And man, they can really sing! 🙏 It’s true, the film doesn't cover every single detail, but it’s pretty clear the director focused heavily on Johnny-esque life back when Johnny was absolutely burning with desire for June Carter leading up to '68. I’ve known about Cash for a long time. To me, he always felt like one of those classic characters you see in old Westerns—just this wise, rugged old cowboy type with a guitar, standing out against the landscape... but I had no idea he was *that* crazy about June... it was intense! And the end of the Oscar race: Joaquin 😍 and Reese. 😁
Also, Elvis looks like a literal baby here... he was only three years younger than Cash. Not that I care, really, but they could have cast someone a bit more handsome who actually knows how to move their hips and knees a little better... 😍
Linda Chase81 said:Honestly, I couldn't care less about who’s pulling the strings behind the scenes. At the end of the day, I just love movies, and I've been happily tuning in to the live Academy Award broadcast for maybe fifteen years or so now.😬 🙂
And me too... I mean, me too... 👋 I usually find myself drifting off right before they announce Best Picture—it's just hard to stay awake through the whole thing when you're stuck listening to those local American commentators and their endless little quips all night long.😬
Just take a breath for a second and try to see how your quote actually fits into the bigger picture here. 😉
Oh, I see exactly where you're going with this, honey! I caught onto it immediately. But you really have to consider how this looks to someone seeing it for the very first time—you know? Like, one wrong move and I'm just thrown under the bus! It's over! Done! 😬
It reminds me of that old story about the guy in a small Midwestern town who everyone whispered about—they said he’d fathered a child and just walked away. And the poor man didn't say a word. He tried to defend himself, but it was useless! He lived with that stigma for years, people mocking him, avoiding him, treating him like a pariah. Then, after a long time, the truth finally came out—the mother realized her mistake and admitted he wasn't at fault at all. A few folks went to him to apologize on behalf of the community, and when they did, he just looked at them and said, "It’s like spilling a bag of feathers in the wind. You can try all you want, but you're never getting every single feather back in the bag." You have to understand, the damage is already done. Now I'm the one left carrying the weight of it! 😢

Oh, man—you’re making a huge mistake here! 🙂 I don't recall ever saying anything truly nasty about Hamdi, honestly—not once! So, if I say he barely finished third grade and is just some kind of gypsy intellectual, I'm not lying. And if I call him a total slut? That's not a lie either. Where is the prejudice in any of that? 🤔
Look, I might not be a world-class athlete, but I am a proud American woman! You can't take that away from me. It reminds me of something a priest once told me back in the day—he used to say there are small Americans, those who joined the faith when they were kids, and then there are the big ones, the ones who made the choice for themselves later on.
John Doe, oh come on now—don't go labeling me as one of those leftists! Just make sure you write right under my post that those Right-wing extremists were the ones saying that!😁
I just couldn't bring myself to watch it... 🙄 the subject matter is just so devastating—it’s one of those things where once you realize it's actually based on a true story, it hits you differently... 😢
