If I can offer some constructive criticism: maybe don't start threads about shows you haven't actually watched yet. If your goal is to get people interested in an older series, sharing a personal take would actually help spark a conversation. Right now, your posts mostly boil down to "What do you guys think of this?" or "I'm planning to watch this soon," which defeats the purpose. Also, the constant talk about upcoming pilots and shows that haven't even aired yet is getting old. My suggestion? Wait until you've at least finished the first episode before opening a thread. That way, you'll have something real to contribute besides just copy-pasting info from other sites.

Not sure why there’s such a surge lately in threads about ancient shows that basically die after the first post. It seems pointless—just cluttering up the feed without actually serving a purpose.
If we were talking about shows from five or ten years ago, maybe. But digging up stuff from the 80s or, God forbid, the 50s? That isn't really discussing spoilers anymore; it’s more like a history lesson on American television. It goes against the spirit of the Unshown section, which is mostly meant for series and seasons currently airing here in the States. There's this unwritten rule based on common sense and basic decency. It sounds utopian, but usually, it works.

And that series was based on a movie, which itself came after the Buffy movie, which followed the Red Sonja film... The core concept in Nikita isn't exactly groundbreaking. It’s all about the execution, and honestly, alias did it much better.
I think she shows up in two episodes during season 4, though.

Since I haven't read the original comic, I can't say how much they butchered it for the screen, but honestly, the movie isn't half bad. The special effects aren't even that terrible...

Premise 1: Scary Movies are popular and pull huge numbers at the Box Office. Premise 2: For these movies to stay popular and profitable, a massive amount of people have to keep watching and enjoying them. Premise 3: People who enjoy Scary Movies are morons. ------------------------------------------------------------ Conclusion: A massive amount of people are morons.
The argument holds if it's impossible for all premises to be true while the conclusion is false. In other words, if 1 through 3 are true, the conclusion follows automatically.
Film buffs might try to dispute premise 3, but they wouldn't realize they're morons anyway, so there's really no reason to doubt the conclusion.
The logic is sound. Still, I have to admit I've only seen the first and second ones once. I tried watching the second one twice, but the jokes just felt... moronic. (They were the first time too, but I don't mind switching my brain off for stuff like this)😁
And you expect something from a comic book adaptation... Look, I’m a fan of both the comics and the movies, but the real issue is having sky-high expectations while simultaneously praying they don't change a single thing.

Songs from that era are the best. I'm still stuck on Listening to Studio 54 I listen to other stuff too, but that era was legendary. Besides, I've realized women tend to go for guys who can actually dance. Haven't signed up for any classes yet, though. 🙂

Hmm... Looking through the threads, I see all kinds of smokers out there... I’m one of those "social" types who only lights up when I'm out with people, so a pack usually lasts me a week... Even then, it doesn't lead to that daily habit of needing a pack or two, despite having smoked for two years now... I guess my personality is just wired such that I can stare at a pack and go days—maybe even a month—without lighting up... Anyone else like this?
