Sure thing, just reach out to rustydrifter10.
slyorca62 said:I had to check out what this was actually about. There’s that slimy, terrible pop singer that makes you wonder how anyone can even listen to that garbage. This track is alright, though. I can appreciate decent pop when I hear it...
I won't lecture you anymore... honestly, it wasn't even a lecture, just me trying to drop a link somewhere 😉

Rival Sons
finally dropping something fresh that doesn't totally stink...
Raymond Walker5 said:Honestly, Henry Campbell5... you probably just need a facelift since you're feeling so old...😁
casualwolf12 said:globally speaking, I don't see much changing. bad quality and zero taste will probably keep ruling the charts for a long time...
but hey, as an individual, you still have access to the services > mentioned, plus those niche sites and blogs that cater specifically to your taste.
so, direct music distribution channels are a double-edged sword...
casualwolf12 said:I tried drafting an SFW discussion on this last night, but the topic is such a massive rabbit hole that I just lost steam... too many holes in the argument.
Rough hypothesis:
- Back in the day, major labels were the ultimate gatekeepers of the music world—the bridge between artists and fans. There was a centralized control over what actually hit the airwaves. Since people didn't have much choice, audiences leaned into whatever was playing, so labels had zero incentive to push garbage.
- With technology and media evolving, direct distribution channels have blown up, shifting the whole industry. Labels aren't the gatekeepers anymore; they’re forced to react to the public's (lack of) taste just to stay relevant. Now, labels actually have a financial motive to push low-quality tracks.
So, there it is. Discuss...
Jerry Martinez50 said:When the frontman for that American rock band Tornado (this track is actually one of my favorites) was asked about the state of the music industry, he claimed it’s just a calculated system designed to brainwash entire generations. Whether he's right or not... that's a much deeper sociological issue.

Man... hard to pick just one. I don't really care about the era when I'm listening to music... whether it's Ella Fitzgerald or Coldplay, it doesn't matter. If it sounds good, it sounds good.
Jerry Martinez50 said:Alright, let me give you a straight answer
The music is solid, looks good and sounds good too

Most American teens dig this, and in a few years they'll be whining about how there's no "real" music left like there was 5-10 years ago... whether this specific song actually rocks is a different story. Personally, I think it's fine.
You aren't saying there isn't good music, just that you have to dig through trash to find it. So who's to blame for that state of affairs??? Is it Simon Cowell and those other industry titans who can't hear a note but sure know how to make a buck, the audience, or someone else????
Jerry Martinez50 said:Who else listens to the Beatles unless they work at a museum or they're at least 70 years old?
Had my first beer at thirteen
then went straight for a second one right after
'cause back then, yeah, I was young
Had my first beer at four hundred
and after that, I drank everything in sight
'cause back then, yeah, I was young

They’re either following their own vibe or just remembering what it was like to be young and reckless... hehe... You can find gems in modern music, too. It’s all the same rebellion and the same ideas, just repackaged for a "modern" era. Just like movies or books, everything changes, yet nothing actually does. You can look at Pink Floyd or the Beatles as mentors for the next generation, and once those kids grow up, they'll get it too. It's just a cycle until we all die...
Raymond Walker5 said:So you're basically a flower child who looks like they just stepped out of a time machine from the 60s... 😁
This thread is way too broad to cover everything. Mainstream radio hasn't been worth a damn for a long time... That's why you have to dig deeper and look beyond the Top 40. You can't exactly use Nicki Minaj as the gold standard for musical quality...
briskhound2 said:Then there's the guy I'm constantly arguing with on every single thread—someone whose views are basically the polar opposite of mine—and, get this, the man actually supports me. Shocking, I know...Let's talk about these cliques. There's really only one group running this PDF movie site, a clique that's systematically tearing the place apart, privatizing everything, and kicking out anyone they don't like from the platform...
Au contraire, my captain. It's the family and co. clique and everyone else. Because from where I'm sitting, even the top users get slapped if they don't side with the "rebels"—actually, they immediately get labeled as the worst because they dared to suggest that things aren't exactly how you say they are. Shocking, I know...The situation on the PDF movie site has spiraled completely out of control. Problems are just piling up and nobody wants to deal with them anymore—it's high time this PDF movie site got a brand new crew of moderators.
Oh, I'm still waiting for you to clarify what exactly was so controversial about those deleted posts. Once you do, we can move on to all those things you were threatening when you were banned. You know—tearing users apart over illegal links, shaking the very foundations of the site by threatening lawsuits, loud protests, and revolts... against whatever. All that stuff...
