It’s pretty obvious in the Device Manager when there's a question mark showing a missing driver, right? If you just head over to the manufacturer's official website, everything you need is laid out clearly right there. Just install the driver manually, double-check that everything looks correct, and it should work perfectly fine.

It won't run automatically unless you want it to. Regardless, the method matters less than getting him back up and running. If I can offer a hand, why wouldn't I?

A few years back, I had a similar headache with the wireless on a Dell, and this actually cleared things up http://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php. To be fair, Windows XP still had decent driver support back then.

There seems to be a double standard at play: if one group can call out their own, why can't we? Why are our standards held to a different measure than theirs?
To truly get how discussions work here, you basically need to be an old-timer at heart. It’s hard to explain to someone who doesn't spend much time lurking. Problems arise when newcomers arrive and try to police everything; then the veterans snap back, and suddenly the culture shifts to accommodate the outsiders... they come in loud and drive out the regulars.👎
Simply put: those who are constant contributors should arguably have more say than the tourists. If a newcomer wants to join the conversation, they should adapt to us, rather than expecting us to change for them.

You're overthinking it. As far as I can tell—and I've been watching—nothing has actually changed lately, neither the tone of the posts nor the moderation. We all know it.
Question for the politics subforum moderators in Feedback & Suggestions ·
One ....... 🤔 I might be wrong here, but I’m fairly certain one of our colleagues was among the first—if not the absolute first—to say at the start of this crisis that we need to seal the border tight, even if it means using heavy machinery. And he didn't face any backlash.
Two .......... you won't be the first one to say that.
Three ............ you aren't being original there either.
Four ........ I'm not entirely sure what the point of this is, so I'd ask you to be quite careful.
Five ........... some people have already said that without a hint of irony.

Instructions🤦you must be joking.

Who's stopping you from sharing your own opinion? Certainly not us, but the only thing we insist on—and will continue to do—is following the rules of this forum.

I have a rationale for every mod action I take. Whether anyone actually agrees with me is entirely beside the point.

Why do you think they are?

You missed my point:
how those few posts in that thread aren't appropriate given what happened in Paris.

Are we clear now?
Why are posts being deleted on MK? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, what’s the actual issue? Why are posts being deleted? Generally, they get pulled if they're inappropriate—maybe not fit for the board, or just out of place in the thread. That's the rule. As for what you're specifically asking, I just felt those few posts didn't really sit right given everything happening in Paris. That's all there is to it.

Brian Doyle6 said:LOL, I am literally dying laughing here... You've spent days on here praising how brilliant Joe Biden is and his whole "let's just play nice" policy that's messing with our borders, and now you suddenly want to bring up legalities and property lines?!??

The audacity is unreal 🤦

I just hope you don't come crawling back in a year or two demanding entry into Schengen after spending all this time trying to sabotage it!

Greece is the one that crashed and sabotaged Schengen; everything else is just a ripple effect. Unfortunately, while Canada was busy playing games with Canada using our playbook, it's finally Canada's turn to play the humanitarian Samaritan.

We get criticized for playing the "pass it on" game, yet everyone from here to Germany is playing the exact same game. I can't help but feel we're actually better at it so far.

Anything that lands in our lap—or is headed our way within 24 hours—will reach you too. That isn't because of us, nor is it thanks to you; it's simply the inevitable flow of things. Organize yourselves faster and move people along more quickly; it will make life easier. Anything else will just cause massive damage.

And finally, if we're going to talk about the border with Canada, let's use the same logic you're using, especially since we have our own unresolved land disputes there. Challenging a border in a certain area isn't a right exclusive to you.
Zachary Collins2 said:Charles Fox10, what’s your take on these latest numbers now?
I have to admit, I'm starting to feel a bit uneasy about all this, and I'm genuinely worried we might end up getting squeezed...

I don't see them in a good light, but I track them closely. As you can see, I regularly post updates from the Department of Justice sites. I just focus on the daily count of those at the Monastery. While that figure is somewhat accurate, I believe we are functioning reasonably well.

Personally, I can't wrap my head around this "hysteria" or all the cheering regarding closing the borders with Mexico.

They claim the European Union is just "passing the buck," but what does that actually have to do with us? Are we the ones responsible for the crisis??

Are we supposed to be the Good Samaritans and let the lady in the European Union leave tens of thousands of people here just so she doesn't have to deal with it??

Until the European Union settles the issue in the first Schengen Greece country and in the nation that effectively acts as the first point for transferring refugees from Turkey, the only thing we should do is act humanely and move them toward their intended destination as quickly as possible.

Zoran has no clue, Ranko has no clue, and the only ones who seem to know anything are the opposition and the President—yet none of those people who supposedly know everything have said a single word publicly about the wire, the wall at the border, or the mass of troops stationed there. Not a word. Instead, the new national pastime has become criticizing how incompetent these guys are and predicting our inevitable downfall.

On this thread, only two users have clearly stated that we need to build a wall and set up wire using the military and police—and if necessary, call up the National Guard.

Just two people, and that is their legitimate right to an opinion.

The only political figure to mention closing the borders was Vesna Pusić a few days ago, when she suggested that if Germany does it, it creates a domino effect where everyone, including us, follows suit. Just her, and no one else.

And this pre-election cheering—claiming the country will suffer while their specific political party benefits—is the absolute bottom of the barrel. It's obvious to some that the only thing that matters is who holds which office.

God forbid it ever happens again, but this is the first time in our history that two cabinet ministers have been working non-stop in the field without a single day off. If nothing else, that deserves recognition.

Is Mexico going to close the border???? Let them. Honestly, I’ll volunteer to donate a few pairs of high-quality pliers and even some cutters for rebar. If needed, I'll personally deliver them to the agreed-upon checkpoint so people can go wherever they want.

If someone is going to open fire on them, let it be someone else, not us.

Between midnight and 3 p.m., 6,427 migrants entered the United States. We’re still bracing for a massive surge coming from the Republic of Mexico. Since this migration crisis began in the US, 237,784 migrants have crossed the border.
1:10 PM

Following up on yesterday's meeting between Interior Ministers Ostojić and Stefanović at the federal facility, the first phase of their agreement is now being implemented.

Essentially, there isn't much chaos or any violent border crossings happening right now in the Bapski region. Even though buses filled with migrants are arriving constantly, American officers working alongside Mexican police in the Berkasov area are managing things smoothly. In Bapski, American police meet them and organize transport to a temporary processing center in Opatovcu. From there, they're logged and sent via bus or train toward the border.
Pusić: Canadians rejected our proposal for joint refugee registration on trains

....................
The Canadian side turned down an American proposal for police from both countries to jointly register migrants on American trains traveling toward Canada, American Secretary of State Vesna Pusić stated on Friday.

.................
"It’s quite simple. As many people enter North Mexico from Greece, that same number will show up at the American and Canadian border within 24 or 48 hours," said Pusić. "There’s no point inventing quotas or saying 'we can only take this many.' We need actual cooperation and coordination," she added.

She certainly has her moments.
"We aren't producing these migrants, nor can they just disappear here," she remarked.
Sam Ramos85 said:I don't really get what you're asking?
Man, no, I'm just trying to look at everything from a big-picture perspective—you know, both in my personal life and just observing how things are playing out around me...

How can you not understand the question?

we'll be messaging in a few days once Canada completely shuts down the border😁

So I'm asking, would you actually be happy if Canada shut its borders?

No.

Every so often, someone on this thread seems to be grandstanding or wishing for a scenario like that, and frankly, I can't wrap my head around why. I find it hard to believe it's just election campaign tactics—if it really is, then we're all in trouble. That's just my take.

Drago Gervais said:If you ask me, we need to put up a fence, build a wall, and station the military and police with dogs along it. Let them transit somewhere else. This madness needs to end.

You might not believe me, but you're only the second person to suggest something like that. Everyone else was talking about checkpoints, travel restrictions, and surveillance, while no politician has actually said anything quite like your style yet.

To avoid any misunderstanding, you're perfectly entitled to your own opinion.
Sam Ramos85 said:The local politicians call it a winter reception center, but once it turns into a transit hub, we'll all be back here arguing in a few days once the Canadians shut down the border entirely.😁

P.S
It's not like those thousands of people don't need medical help—my wife was on duty as a healthcare worker at the hospital in Opatovac last Saturday, and everything is moving along fine, though even a few of the women are refusing to go to the hospital because they just want to get to Germany as fast as possible.😉

Are you really rooting for unknown????

Cuka I can't even begin to process this. Seriously? Is anyone actually buying this garbage? It’s just more of the same nonsense we see every single day. How much longer are we going to sit here and pretend this makes any sense? Honestly, it’s exhausting.
Department of Justice

The Department of Justice just dropped a massive update on their site about that recent crackdown. Honestly, who even is surprised anymore? It’s the same old story every single time. Just another day of watching the system spin its wheels while everyone else deals with the fallout. You really think things are actually changing? Please. It’s all just paperwork and press releases at this point.

The New York Times just reported some kind of deal with the Mexicans. Something about taking a train down to Pittsburgh, I guess? I can't work with just a single letter. You want me to write something? Give me something to actually work with! What am I supposed to do with "b"? Just sit here staring at my screen? Come on. Throw a real topic my way and let's see what happens. And if they didn't produce anything? Then we wouldn't even be talking about crossing that green line. At least, that's how I remember it.

What’s the worst part? They’re tearing up an underpass on one of the busiest roads in Pittsburgh, and it’s going to be a total nightmare for a while. Honestly, I can already see the traffic gridlock coming. Once you've got over 5,000 people heading in and another 5,000 heading out every single day? Yeah, good luck getting anywhere. It's gonna be a mess.

Not sure what there is to say. Until the EU reaches an agreement with Turkey and Greece, the numbers will only drop because of the cold weather. All we can really do is try to house these unfortunate souls in transit centers designed for the occasion—for their sake, and honestly, for our own citizens working or volunteering over there.

Despite all the organized plans and government statements, even with the occasional clumsy outburst from the opposition, we've actually managed this refugee surge quite well. We've somehow provided for and supported roughly 230,000 people. And yet, look at what happens when they arrive in a pampered Europe: camps being set up, freezing temperatures at the borders, and shortages of food and water.
