I basically just stumbled into the theater by accident, but man, I am so glad I did! Honestly, if they had just cranked up the paranoia during those final scenes a little bit more, it would have been absolutely perfect 😛

I couldn't help but notice how they basically turned this production into one giant commercial. They pulled in every sponsor imaginable, from tech companies to sports brands and apparel. It felt like Carhartt was raking in the most cash, followed by Under Armour, Acer, and the rest. The whole movie just feels like a freaking runway show for workwear. That Carhartt branding is impossible to miss.😁

I haven't actually sat down to watch the movie yet 😛 but man, I was basically forced to sit through that trailer about six or seven times in a row before anything else even started playing at the theater. Honestly, if I have to listen to that pretentious, hipster-style music from the trailer one more single time, someone is going to bleed 😁 so from now on, I am definitely walking into the auditorium ten minutes after the "show" supposedly starts ☕

I checked this out last week—honestly, I was fully braced for some total garbage, especially since my expectations were basically in the gutter after watching the trailer at least four times against my will because it practically spoils the entire plot

Final verdict—it’s actually not bad at all if you're just looking for some mindless fun 😁 There are some pretty cool ideas tucked in there, but man, if they had just hired a better screenwriter or a more talented director, they could have turned this into something truly great 😳

The film was originally titled White House Down, but they swapped it to what it is now (any hint that the American President is basically a god like Zeus is intentional) because the creators didn't want people to realize they were ripping off an existing idea, so... same movie, really.

I just finished watching both the US and the Swedish versions... which one actually stays truest to the book if you guys have read it?

Honestly, this is what I actually respect about the people in the United Kingdom... there’s this massive political meltdown happening because the Prime Minister is pushing one agenda while a huge chunk of the population is screaming for something completely different... but then you look at what’s going on in places like Canada where the ruling party just steamrolls over basic democratic principles, their own survival instincts, and the actual will of the people they’re supposed to represent, all just to suck up to the bureaucrats in Brussels.... doesn't it just make you want to throw up?

First off—the visuals
I was really hoping they’d nail that gritty, high-contrast look like Sin City, you know? But instead, they just made everything way too dark and murky... honestly, wouldn't it have been so much better if they had just gone the route of a feature-length animated film?

And man, I just can't stand it when horror movies completely tank because the pacing is all messed up... for me, something like Saving Private Ryan still sets the bar way too high... plus, I am totally over those cheesy American vampire tropes—it was kind of cute at first, but now it's just getting old, isn't it?

Honestly, the style of these docs just drives me crazy because I’m dying for THIS kind of vibe, but instead, I always end up stuck watching some guys in fatigues or tracksuits mumbling through their old stories...
