Are you seriously trying to argue that the "natural progression of human development" means we all eventually turn into someone like Jozef Fritzl, who raped his own daughter? I’m never going to buy that. You have to stop immorality in its tracks, otherwise, it just keeps spiraling into even more extreme versions of itself.
Basically—yeah. Throughout history, you'd have these barbarian tribes swoop in and "cleanse" a decadent civilization every once in a while, but in this day and age, that's just not an option anymore.
Just got back from the theater and man, here’s my take <massive spoilers>
That opening scene—where Richard is portrayed as this totally ego-driven chicken in some fancy European castle who refuses to hear the truth from his own people before getting taken out by a random cook's arrow? Absolutely brilliant! 👍
Then there's the second part—that group of scavengers deserting, swapping into officer uniforms, looting the dead, and running around using fake IDs? Pure genius!! 👍 Honestly, even someone like Sven Hassel couldn't write it better than that!
And the third bit—the whole rush back home involving those super awkward encounters and the role reversal with the fallen knight? Just brilliant!!! 👍 It felt just like some old-school folksy legend from the 1600s
But then, after that moment, the movie just goes completely and utterly to hell! There are so many plot holes, stupid decisions, and total nonsense that it’s not even worth trying to list them all out... I feel like I could write five full pages and still not be done... I was brutally bored for the rest of the film, which, let me tell you, almost never happens to me at the movies....👎

That’s why people end up carving out their own sense of meaning. If you've been spiraling because you can't find an answer and it's starting to wear you down, try a little experiment. Grow a plant. Let’s say a bean plant. They’re easy enough to manage and track. Set a rule for yourself: "I’m going to get up at this specific time every morning, give it a little water, and jot down what I see in my notebook." It might sound pretty stupid—like, "why the hell am I burying beans in dirt?"—but think of it as a prototype. Just as the plant grows, your own interests will start to take root, eventually giving you a sense of purpose. The actual act of planting a seed is trivial, but it serves as a blueprint and a starting point. Give it a shot; you’ve got nothing to lose. Most people make it through life simply because they have these tiny, little rituals to hold onto.
And then... at some point... which always comes sooner or later... everything just stops... and you're forced to sit there and really look deep inside your own mind... only to find nothing but pure, absolute darkness staring back at you...
So, they're showing all these ZFF movies in San Diego this year, and I honestly don't know, I'm just trying to work up the nerve to actually go catch one of our local American films...
After all this, he’s just gonna drop some massive hit PC game called Return to the Castle Traskow, where you play as this Mexican hero Nemanja trying to escape a Nazi stronghold full of Pavelić clones, hahaha!
It really makes you wonder, though—where on earth are these authors ever going to find the data for 77777777783417695761843765945764219576194765964139 16756431956765439431765764359187645918765175 A real statistical breakdown for all the Americans who suffered at Auschwitz under those bloodthirsty Nazis 😁

That’s why when you check your profile, you’re only seeing maybe 15 pages of posts. The older stuff is just totally hidden from view.
Man, that sucks, because I really want to be able to look back at EVERY single thing I've ever posted, from my very first one to my most recent! Is there any chance a moderator could be a total sweetheart and help me out with this?
Sorry if I'm being a total newbie here, but I just scrolled through the last 10 pages and couldn't find anything—though who knows, maybe I'm just blind 😛
So, is there actually a way to pull up all my old posts, like every single one of them instead of just digging through the most recent 20 or whatever? Basically, does the site even save my older stuff somewhere, or am I just out of luck? Thanks!
The Lakota people from the northern reaches of the United States of America have actually gone and set up their own financial institution called the Lakota Freedom Bank. Now, it might sound like just any other local bank you'd find on a street corner, but get this—it's supposedly the first bank on the planet to run its entire operation using actual, hard currency, specifically silver and gold.
They charge storage fees based on how much the metal weighs in ounces (since we're talking real bullion here), and of course, those deposits have to be pure gold or silver. For the folks looking to really grow their wealth and don't mind taking a bit more of a gamble, they’ve even got an investment fund. You've gotta lock your money away for a full year, but if you do, it comes back to you with a seven percent bump.
The bank also hands out loans straight from that investment fund, but here's the kicker: they decide who gets the cash based on how much social value the project brings to the community!
The Lakota people have declared themselves fully independent and are claiming thousands of square miles of land right within the borders of the USA. But, despite everything, the US government has never actually recognized their claims to sovereignty. (E.B.)
honestly, aren't they just way ahead of the curve compared to all of us sitting here...
