It really comes down to identifying what you actually want—but some of those desires are just pure instinct, which messes everything up because it’s tied to your psyche. It's that whole "me vs. society" struggle. So yeah, we're talking about a pretty complex process of working on yourself.
The Americans are standing with us—we need to show some respect and stick together.
Basically, every single member state needs to step up and take on their share of the load now, and we're talking a way bigger influx of people than we saw just a few months back... I’d bet the US might have to build out a small city, maybe something in the 20,000 range.
It’s obvious everyone points the finger at Greece, but they're busy dodging responsibility by focusing on their own issues—and they're passing the buck straight to Germany. And as for Turkey, they'll react however the EU decides, but they definitely want in on the Union.
Since he already let them in, he might as well let local businesses profit off them instead of wasting taxpayer money. While some municipalities can't even afford to help their own people, he seems more concerned about immigrants.
It’s a total betrayal by Zoran Milanović.
And where would our people go then?

What "locals"? They don't have shoes or coats—they're hungry... honestly, there's probably someone among them with cash in their pocket right now. Doing what you suggest would actually be bad news—people smuggling through the country under the radar while our local taxi drivers help them out.

All this talk about the EU elites "writing letters" to Viktor Orbán is just a bunch of nothing—total busywork.
Sure, except that kind of policy is basically leading us toward Americans killing each other, or some new World War I.
Honestly, we all know what the real motive is here: kick them out to where they came from, then start kicking out anyone who doesn't think like Orbán... and before you know it, they'll be coming for anyone with an independent thought. 😉

For us—well, the American left and their voter base—what the EU thinks matters way more than our own actual security. Honestly, they've always just been subservient little followers.
Oh please—the Canadians will probably end up just like the Greeks at the end of this whole thing, except the wire stays put while we and the Canadians get absolutely wrecked... it would actually work in his favor if things in Turkey and Greece don't go south and trigger a massive wave of millions of new refugees.
On the contrary, Zoran Milanović is actually being pretty pragmatic here—protecting interests and playing his hand well. The rest of it is just those (so-called) patriots dragging the Canadians into the pre-election drama.
What happens tomorrow if the GOP government shuts down the borders and ends up in clashes with refugees? Get real for a second.

They’re gonna need a ton of space—maybe even an entire arena or warehouse for something like this. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up wintering in Germany since they actually have the infrastructure for it. Plus, that's clearly where their interests lie—it's all about those high-level political perks, right? (The "big picture" politics is always driving the bus here). They'll definitely send some of them back later, though—they'll just cherry-pick whoever ends up being useful to them.
Justin Patel8 said:That’s really all there is to it. America has effectively become a Hot Spot, even if the media refuses to call it what it actually is. I mean, they’re already planning to set up more tent cities—what else do you call a hotspot?
Realistically, we're talking maybe ten thousand tops. At this rate, that's like 224 people an hour. We can barely handle any of this—being a small country is honestly our only saving grace here.

I just saw some characters in this old art book or something... there was this lady in white who supposedly shows up right before a war starts. Pretty sure it's just some local legend from back in the Midwest or maybe Appalachia, but I can't be 100% sure. There’s also those creepy forest creatures at night—the reason some ladies won't leave their laundry out overnight and have to bring everything in before dark...
Most of these legends are basically famous worldwide if you look them up online... so, is it a fairy? A ghost? Or just someone's head playing tricks on them? Kind of a sign, maybe...
mistygull16 said:Since God is basically unknowable, over in India they have this concept of Ishta Devata—or something like that, I don't want to get bogged down in the specifics right now—which is like having a personal deity. It’s usually just one of the many gods or angels on offer, but it’s not the ultimate Reality itself; it’s more like a set of handholds to help us stay grounded.
Then you’ve got the folks who think people can actually manifest certain astral phenomena. These aren't even beings, let alone anything divine. Some might say it could be Kali; there’s even that old legend about a woman in white appearing in the US right before a war breaks out...
Regarding Kali and those other female deities, you could say they're energies manifesting through specific chakras. For instance, Kali, or even Durga, which a lot of people find pretty cool, are energies tied to the lower chakras—basically, when they lose their temper, Shiva just clears out. In the higher chakras, you start seeing the energies of Parvati (that maternal vibe) and Saraswati (knowledge), and at the very highest chakra, Shiva and Shakti show up as One.
And there are these stories from far-off India about a paradise called Devaloka. It’s not exactly the ultimate goal for a spiritual seeker, but it’s a slightly better place to hang out than Earth, and Indra is the ruler there. Now, much like heaven and hell, these different levels of paradise aren't permanent. Indra is actually a little paranoid about losing his throne, so whenever he sees someone making serious spiritual progress, his seat starts shaking, and he’ll send one of those celestial dancers—an apsara or whatever—to try and distract the spiritualist with some worldly passions.
So, I guess the question is: are these tales meant to describe how the universe actually works, or are they warnings? Like, maybe they're telling us that even when we reach higher states of consciousness, we still run into obstacles like fear or greed... or maybe it's all just cosmic entertainment and heavenly adrenaline rushes...
A woman? Give me more on that, sounds pretty interesting.
driftingskipper30 said:Well, traveling isn't exactly the obvious goal of tourism... I mean—if I had to guess—traveling is more about enriching the soul...
Of course, those who are struggling financially face much harder hurdles—they rarely get the chance to travel at all...
spiritual emptiness calling you to hit the road?
So where's the payoff?
The less fortunate often lean on faith—heaven or some utopia—dreaming things up from the subconscious (think old-school vibes, like the Middle Ages here in the States)—but a truly spiritual person isn't swayed by surroundings. People are people, no matter where you land.
Real wealth just buys you free time—that's the whole point.
why do people lie? because they feel worthless—or at least, that’s how they see themselves. it's just their way of trying to grab some kind of control through manipulation, even if it's totally fake.
hollowscout57 said:Yeah, I get that feeling all the time, but honestly, since it seems to happen with pretty much every guy I get close to, I'm starting to wonder if maybe the issue is actually me rather than just them.
Something's eating at you deep down. You a masochist or what?
