Amanda Kelly said:So what's your take? Who actually filed the protest? Are you positive it wasn't Button and McLaren doing the suing?

Or do you think it was Alonso 😁 (who watched the whole thing from a safe distance, looking for any chance to knock out another rival)?
Honestly, looking at it now, if that had worked, we might have ended the championship right then and there. 😂

Well, Button basically protested over the team radio immediately, and then I bet the team followed up.
But before the winner was even announced, and again during his BBC interview, I got the impression he doesn't blame Vettel one bit. He even said something along the lines of Vettel just pushed too hard and his wheels got locked up during braking...

I have a feeling the FIA wanted to nail Vettel, but Button’s perspective ended up leaving them with absolutely zero ground to stand on.
Honestly, I kind of like Button more today than I did before.😁

BTW, Jordan totally tore Witmarsh apart. 😂
When asked if they’d ask Button to step down as Hamilton's No2 for the rest of the season, Witmarsh claimed Button offered it himself—saying he just wanted to do what was right and best for the team.
When pressed with "but did you actually ask him?", Witmarsh just gave some blah-blah about how happy he is that Button is being so responsible and all that.

Then, once he left, Jordan said the guy is completely unprofessional and that’s not how things work—drivers aren't the ones making calls or telling the Team Principal how to run the show.
Basically, he stopped just short of calling him a total amateur who hasn't a clue how to manage a team.😁
William Bennett53 said:Honestly, what a joke... they didn't even hand out penalties to Ayrton Senna or Felipe Massa, yet they went after Michael Schumacher just for a standard overtake... if that's the case, they should have penalized that poor Indian driver when he ended up hitting the wall too.
As for Mark Webber, I'm not even sure why he got penalized since I missed the overtake through the chicane. It honestly baffles me that they didn't penalize Pastor Maldonado or Lewis Hamilton for their mechanical failures.

They penalized Webber because Kamui Kobayashi shoved him right off the track.😁
They completely screwed the pooch again, and they did it badly.🤣

Also, the penalty for Deda is pretty bizarre once again.🤷
Maybe it's just their little way of making sure Deda gets punished, or maybe Bernie is just intentionally getting back at Mercedes.🤷
Ayrton Senna dodged the penalty since he was just sticking to the standard racing line😁
The FIA is certainly being consistent with how they apply the rules🙏👍🤣
Raymond Anderson4 said:I don't think it warrants a penalty, but officials really ought to have a word with the drivers moving forward. What Vettel did wasn't exactly smart—flooring it only to slam on the brakes right before the turn...
How is the driver behind supposed to know if he’s actually setting a fast lap or just trying to trick someone?
In my opinion, when it comes to restarts, the leader should maintain a steady pace and then accelerate decisively, rather than this erratic gas-brake, gas-brake approach...

Yeah, honestly, Button is more to blame here.😁
He basically admitted it indirectly. If he hadn't been so cautious, he wouldn't be whining about how it was all Vettel's fault. He wouldn't be hunting for a penalty just to snatch the win if he truly believed he was innocent and Vettel was in the wrong.
That was just sloppy driving on Button's part. It’s obvious the guy in front dictates the pace. He's going to speed up, slow down, or weave left and right under the SC just to get those tires and brakes up to temperature—that's his prerogative.
Besides, this isn't exactly news, so saying it caught him off guard is a stretch.😁

And how can the driver behind not know what the lead car is doing? They don't just start the race wherever the leader feels like it; everyone knows exactly which line the restart happens on and exactly when you're allowed to overtake the guy setting the pace.
Take Fernando Alonso, for example—he knew exactly what was happening, so he had zero issues and didn't have to worry about sudden braking. Everyone else behind him knew it too.😉
I highly doubt you're going to tell me the guys trailing Vettel weren't busy warming up their tires and brakes.😁

Since you’ve already appointed yourself the decision maker, why don't you go ahead and post the results?
Who even are the top four? Who was actually racing against whom over the last few rounds???

I’ll let your wise-guy commentary slide this time since I don't want to deal with the headache of banning you if I hand out a warning, but do it again and you're looking at a card—and a ban right after.

I mean, honestly, why should I have to explain myself to you—or anyone else, for that matter? If I actually go out of my way to call someone up just to get an explanation from them, that’s my business. No need to overthink it. (between you and me), I'm not gonna explain myself.?

What exactly are you looking for there? The guy in question didn't even apply for the moderator role, so there's nothing for me to do about it right now.
Trust me, if it comes to that, I'll handle it.☕

What am I supposed to be explaining here?🤷 The decision maker makes a call. Two modes are tied for that decision, and even if I personally hate it, by the rules, it’s a legitimate decision because of the majority vote.
Personally, I don't see anything in the rulebook regarding those statements about withdrawals, so I don't see any real reason—let alone any basis—to complain about it.

It's funny how you felt such a massive urge to attack me and trash my work in the Super League, but now that darkmarlin16—the guy you actually suggested for moderator—is in the exact same spot, his decisions are perfectly fine by you, even though they completely ignore the rules...
🙄 And the fact that this whole thing produces zero results? Totally fine with you too, apparently...

Honestly, I don't see a single reason to keep this Super League going at all.
Because the Round 3 matchups literally don't exist. Nobody has a clue who's in Round 3, who's still an active participant, who has how many points, who's been disqualified, who's playing whom next, etc. It's a mess.
If all the results and disqualification rulings aren't posted before the next race, I don't see what else can be done besides closing this thread and killing the Super League for the season.

Everyone was betting on Vettel ☕
Massa 😲
Webber and the tactics 🤦
Hamilton 😢
Pastor Maldonado 🙂
Alonso 👍 is honestly just too lucky 🙂 the guy needs to go play the lottery or hit the casinos and quit messing around with Formula 1; he'd make way more money there... seriously, how much luck can one person have? It's insane... he should just take the win and run 😁

And nobody even realized that Glock basically drove a race worth millions of dollars 🙏
Marussia actually jumped ahead of Caterham in the standings 😲

Max, care you going to explain this silence? And maybe explain where all that energy went regarding your big crusade for keeping things consistent under the TM rules...

This is Pat's last post containing an entry/prediction
written on March 23, 2012, at 12:08 PM, right before the second race in Malaysia.
The absolute deadline for sending entries for Malaysia was March 24, 2012, at 7:50 AM.
So, there is zero doubt that Pat's last entry was specifically for Malaysia.

And just to make it crystal clear... look at Rosiyev in Canada during the 7th race of the season; they're responding to that exact same entry Pat sent back in Malaysia. This means no other entry was sent, which obviously means your claim about them having an entry for Bahrain is just a total fabrication—all just so you can try to cover up that massive blunder you made.

So, let's recap:
Australia: Pat sends an entry
Malaysia: Pat sends an entry
China: Nothing sent
Bahrain: Nothing sent
Spain: Nothing sent
Monaco: Should have been disqualified, but wasn't
Canada: Should have been disqualified, but wasn't
Europe: Finally disqualified, giving the win to Terry Carter2

That’s a fact, and honestly, it’s probably the biggest oversight by any moderator in the three years this Super League has been running... you directly impacted the results for four different competitors: Terry Carter2, Patagonia, Pangloss, and Rosiyev.

But seriously... where is this Bahrain entry? I've searched through all eight of Pat's posts in this thread and I don't see it anywhere. 🍿

Anything else I need to say? The sheer amount of stupidity in your post is actually impressive. 🤦
What am I supposed to do, let clones or some random kid run the Super League? 🙄
Recruiting players with a "hey, come join us and we'll let you play as a clone" system? 🤦
No, Max, I have absolutely no intention of letting clones compete. Nobody needs moderators like that. ☕

Oh boy... what am I even reading here... 😂
Now you're claiming you didn't let clones play... 😂 but right here you're saying you sent Sheldon several PMs, and over here we can clearly see that Gilbert totally shut you down, not the other way around... 😁
who even told you he wasn't allowed to play? 🍿

just accept the fact that something is seriously off with the Super League
if you ask me, the issue lies with the commissioner and how he runs things
and if you really think everything is fine on your end, then at least change something for the greater good, because some of these rules are just bad—and honestly, given your oversight, you probably don't even realize it...
something definitely needs to change. You can't just keep your eyes closed and keep telling yourself "there are no problems in the Super League," because it's obvious this isn't heading anywhere good... 😉

stormybadger8 said:What am I even supposed to do with you?🤦
Who on earth were you sending that offer to? 🤦
And do you realize the Commissioner should probably disqualify you from the superleague right now?
At least that's what Max claimed... back during that Patagonia situation which is basically a carbon copy of yours.

Basically, there was a response to your last offer submitted on June 23, 2012, before qualifying, specifically for CNN Europe.🤦

After that CNN Europe offer, you have an answer for CNN UK,
but no new offer for CNN Germany,
no answer for CNN Canada,
and no new offer for CNN Belgium...🙂 You haven't responded or sent a new offer for three races in a row. 🙂

I'm done with this nonsense.🤦
I'm officially resigning as Deputy Superleague Commissioner. There is absolutely no way I'm going to disqualify the current superleague leader or even bother debating it.🙂
And I certainly don't have the energy to listen to Max's "wisdom" when he pulls this on me and starts arguing about why the irregular superleague 2012 champion shouldn't count.

As far as I'm concerned, the superleague season is dead to me. I have zero intention of running it or doing anything else regarding this thread.

Sort it out yourselves however you see fit.
@ Terry Carter2, please keep an eye on this discussion and ban or delete any insults, trolling, or whatever else happens here.🤦

meanwhile, in the meantime:
there's no offer for Italy News
no response for Singapore News

Which means darkmarlin16 now has five missed offers/responses in a row...

So I'm dying to hear the explanation for this, Edward Howard2...
Why is it suddenly "according to the rules" when someone fails to send an offer/response five races in a row, yet a few months ago, that same situation wasn't considered a violation?

Is this just a blatant example of twisting the rules and explanations whenever it suits someone, or is it just me? 🍿
And if this actually follows the rules—which haven't changed in forever, by the way—then why don't you explain to me why you lied when it came to the whole Patagonia situation and those forecasts?
Robin Reyes3 said:Honestly, it would be best if all the leaders just went at it and knocked each other out. It’s high time Karthikeyan grabbed a gold medal; I am certain he would take first place without question, provided the drivers from the top nine teams decided to sit this one out! 🤣

Where on earth did you get the idea that would actually work?🤣🤣🤣

The drivers from the top 11 teams plus Pedro would have to drop out... and even then, you still have to wonder if he’d actually win or just slam straight into a wall. 😬

Why would we be shocked?🤷
I’ve never seen a single Red Bull fan on this forum act surprised when they see them at the front. To us, it’s just business as usual. We're used to it.😁

It’s actually weird seeing them in second place.🤷

Amanda Kelly said:What’s going on here? Is nobody going to comment on FP? 🤷
I honestly think it’s time we bring out the TBF-ov theory. When Red Bull looks this dominant during the FP sessions, it usually means they’re about to completely blow it during qualifying and the race!

Who's winning? Red Bull looks good.🤷
To me, it’s still our little slice of blue heaven...😁
Nathan Jones98 said:That Italian scrap alternator is basically just playing favorites with certain teams and drivers at this point.
I wonder...

And what are those? Caterham. 🤣
So, they've totally fallen apart this season:
Renault R30 (Pirelli testing) x1
Pirelli ) x1 Lotus-Renault E20 x2 Williams-Renault FW34 x1 RB8 x2
Williams-Renault FW34 x1
RB8 x2

Just the usual crowd on the BBC and Sky...
They said the Williams struggled at Monza too, and that the old Renault from 2010 blew up during the Pirelli tire testing...
Hopefully they don't completely lose their minds before they actually figure out what's causing these breakdowns based on those two points.

So far, the only car that hasn't completely crapped out is the Caterham-Renault.🙂
And that could be a sign that Kovalainen has already signed. 😬
If that junk Italian alternator actually holds up this weekend, I’m expecting to see one or two Red Bulls at the front.😁

Saying everything would be sunshine and rainbows if we just picked some outsider to host the championship who isn't even playing... that might actually be the biggest load of nonsense I've read about running this thing since it started.

Let's say next season we pick ........* (*feel free to throw in any former player you want...) someone who, coincidentally, isn't participating in the championship this year...
Then some "controversial situation" pops up, and they make a call that favors their old buddy... whether it's one specific guy or a whole group of them, it's all the same.
The situation doesn't even have to be controversial; it could follow the rules perfectly. It's enough if there's even the slightest hint of ambiguity, or if some person starts making a massive scene just because they were too lazy to actually read the rulebook,
and in their head, it’s perfectly logical that things should work exactly how they imagined them...

And how long do you think it'll take before people start trashing the host's work and whining about favoritism and arguing over results?
Five minutes? Or will the server be such a disaster zone that it takes a little longer than five?🍿
And if anyone tries to hand out warnings or clean up the mess, how long until the talk starts about moderators running a dictatorship and using brute force?

All these ideas sound great on paper.😍
But the real issue is that, up until now, the rules—the ancient ones, mind you—have only been copied over a few minutes before the first race starts, or sometimes even after.
And then, naturally, we find out they're flawed or incomplete, so they get changed after the race to suit whatever the loudest majority wants at that exact moment.☕
As for picking hosts, we basically used a "firefighter approach"—we wait for a crisis to happen, realize we don't have anyone, or realize the current person has had enough, and then we scramble to pick someone when it's already way too late.

It’ll be the same old story. During the season, nobody will discuss anything important... and once the season ends, nobody will be around to debate or vote anyway.
Then, a month before the start, everyone will start bickering about everything except who the host should be, let alone the actual rules.
And a couple of weeks before the season kicks off, someone will start rambling about spreadsheets, colors, numbers, podiums, team names, etc.
Everyone will have a blast debating nonsense while completely forgetting that we don't even have rules or a host yet... but hey, there's always time.😍

Seriously, there's absolutely no need to agree on anything before this season ends. We'll just hammer out the rules after the first race and everything will be just fine.😍

That's my two cents.🙂
You guys go ahead and keep entertaining yourselves with stupidity instead of signing up to host or actually discussing the rules.

Terry Carter2 will let me know when the poll opens and who goes on it, so reach out to him if you actually have the drive to help.😁
Me? I'm happily skipping this thread. I just don't have the energy to read the same old story all over again.

That’s actually a solid suggestion regarding lap 3. Honestly, might be the smartest move yet...🙂
It’s probably not even going to happen anyway; there aren't enough players to pull off the original plan.

But hey, Max, care to explain why I was wrong about the Patagonia situation? Apparently, it’s perfectly fine for darkmarlin16 to just keep moving along, even though they haven't sent an offer or a reply in four races straight...

darkmarlin16 said:Since Bjesomar bailed and there’s zero chance of finding a replacement, I’m basically getting this round handed to me on a silver platter ☕

Round 14

Bjesomar - darkmarlin16
Jessica Ramos12 - Terry Carter2
Ferstar - ruggedfox28
Edward Howard2 - stormybadger8

Also, I’m throwing it out there that maybe only the top four should even bother playing the third round (the so-called championship league), because honestly, there's no point in running the whole thing anymore since half the crew quit for reasons we all know too well.

Who says there aren't any replacements? ?

There’s no Race Director around to actually make a call on this whole disqualification mess, which means we’re still stuck wondering whose replacement Kimi actually is.

And if you really need them, here are the guys ahead of him and behind him on the list:
The List:
8. Sheldon
Backup driver - Gilberth
Fourth reserve - basically irrelevant.
6th reserve - Kimi#1

Based on those 2011 results, here's what the remaining reserves look like:
Begemotica techno Mania Falco SM
Begemotica techno Mania Falco SM
Begemotica techno Mania Falco SM
Rain Karlospeed Sep
Karlospeed Sep
Sepa

Since only Kimi signed up at the start of the superleague, we need a ruling on whether substitutes who didn't register can even play. If they can, we should probably call them up and demand they actually make themselves known.

From what I can tell, nobody’s even thinking about answering this...
ruggedfox28 said:Whose forecast am I even answering to this round? Since darkmarlin16 should've been disqualified way before Belgium, I actually kind of love that I get to play against him this time...

I'm dying to see how that showdown actually plays out...

And if you're calling the shots as the Manager, then it's high time you make a call regarding those people who supposedly should've been disqualified after CNN Belgium for failing to send three consecutive bids/responses... actually, it's four in a row now... once you decide, just pull in the next reserves on the list.
Same goes for the decision on Bjesomar and the withdrawals. I'm not entirely sure, but I think there are others who haven't sent a bid or response for three or more races straight.
Feel free to call in Max to help explain things and sort out these potential disqualifications and other headaches... he knows this stuff better than anyone, and he's always down to help when it comes to keeping the superleague regular.

Also, it would be nice to get these decisions made so we actually know who's playing who and whose bid is being answered... assuming there's even any intention of finishing this superleague season at all.🤷
