Amanda Kelly said:Look, in the last race, both of our drivers managed to move up one spot compared to their qualifying positions, while your guys dropped two.
You guys have a way more dominant car—well, except for that last race—but what’s the actual advantage here? A measly 13 points. It's honestly laughable.

Well, looks like we've gone completely backward. It should have been a clean exit from Turkey, right? But what exactly went down over there?
Hockenheim doesn't have to be the ultimate benchmark, but honestly? It feels more like we're catching up to you than you're pulling away from us.
What would have happened if we weren't such a disorganized mess of a company?

Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso is basically a PhD in driving science compared to those fanatics you call fans.

Wow, you're real tough after one lucky single race.🤣

What 13 points are you talking about?😕
RB vs Ferrari is a 64-point gap.

If you're talking about Alonso, are you actually 100% sure that gap stays the same by the end of the weekend?🤣

It wouldn't surprise me if Alonso walked away with zero points.☕

If Ferrari weren't such a disorganized mess right now, they'd have at least a 150-point lead in the world constructors championship and at least 100 in the world driver championship. Ferrari started car development first, they have a driver "who develops the car best and delivers 0.6 seconds per lap," they have an excellent wingman who is the No. 2 driver and isn't allowed to finish ahead of Alonso, yet they are still trailing McLaren by 92 points, and Alonso is trailing by 34.☕

Besides, you're forgetting that Alonso has engine issues too.😉

I'm not even worried about him; I'm more concerned that my lot still doesn't grasp how you actually win a championship.🤦

This Horner guy is definitely out of his mind; he's genuinely convinced everyone else is racing each other except for the Ferrari drivers. 🤣 Crazy. 🤣

Amanda Kelly said:Do you seriously have the nerve to call Ferrari's engine Turbo sloppy? 😂

Look, regardless of anything else, Ferrari has been an absolute mess this season, and Alonso has been the biggest mess of the bunch.
☕
You can't expect much more than that from an inexperienced, green Red Bull crew.
Don't go expecting anything besides the usual from a seasoned pro like Webber.
And expecting any kind of serious business from a rookie like Vettel? Yeah, dream on.

But from a battle-hardened two-time World Champion with ten seasons under his belt—driving for a team that's dominated the world driver championship and world constructors championship more times than I can count—you should really expect a lot more professionalism.

silvercobra68 said:Fettel has two main issues.

First; he often messes up right at the start, then he panics, his adrenaline spikes, and he turns into a complete idiot by lunging at his rival. He pulled the exact same stunt on Webber. He lacks maturity. And honestly, in my opinion, he's a bit dim.

I was convinced Alonso was going to run him down after the race, just like he did to Massa at Nürburgring back in 2007, but clearly, he had other things on his mind once the race ended; he probably cooled off.

Look, Mr. Vettel is struggling because his team isn't teaching him how to handle pressure. Instead of helping him grab a title, they're basically training him to think acting like an idiot pays off more.👎

His team is screwing him over, plain and simple.
He was supposed to be either the No. 2 driver or Webber's wingman, but this whole situation is a complete mess. He sees Webber getting away with dirty moves and nonsense, so he obviously thinks he can get away with it too. Well, newsflash: he can't.
GP Germany - 07/25/2010 in Formula 1 ·
I’m just sitting here hoping that Massa and that sloppy Turbo Ferrari finally opened the eyes of naive Horner and Matheka.🤣

If this isn't it, then I don't know what is.😂

Everything will come to light in Canada. That's where they should finally decide who the No. 1 driver is at Red Bull, and they need to stick to it strictly—even if it means firing a disobedient No. 2 driver.😬

There’s no other way. They need to be taught a lesson and shown how things actually work, especially since they still have the title in their pocket without breaking a sweat.☕

Otherwise, when you look at the situation:

Because they didn't have team orders, Red Bull only gave up 46 points in Turkey and Britain combined.
Vettel lost 44 points for the exact same reason.
Webber lost 10 points for the same reason.
Compared to Red Bull, who had nothing holding them back, Ferrari lost a massive 89 points because of those team orders.

Seriously, if we look at the facts, if Alonso and Massa had kept chasing each other like Webber and Vettel, a crash would have been almost inevitable.🤣

So, it's team order 89 versus zero team orders.😢

Jason Campbell70 said:Do you really think their title would be even slightly tainted if they had won it using team orders?

Well, RB is the perfect example of why team orders actually make sense. 👍

Who's who? That's what the "Biggest Troll on forum.hr" title tells you perfectly. 😎 🙏

Exactly.😢

But honestly, this is what's always been disgusting about F1. They write these rules and say, "Hey, that's banned, 🙂"
but then they turn a blind eye for certain people. Meanwhile, others follow the rules and get called out for it. Then you've got a third group constantly whining about illegal parts, while they're actually just ripping off other cars, packing themselves with illegal bits, lying, cheating, and using team orders. It's all just a massive joke.🤣

Look, it's simple. If you want to win a title in F1, you have to be a total jerk. Your team needs to be packed with scammers and liars, and you need a driver who isn't afraid to play dirty and shove people around.

Anything else is just a fantasy.😢

P. S: And remember when Button tried to see what it was like to squeeze his teammate? I guess Rubens told him it was suuuuper, so he figured he'd give it a shot too.🤣

cosmicsailor11 said:It’s honestly hilarious how everyone is piling on Ferrari right now, when every single team does the exact same thing. You see the fans and even the leaders from other teams dragging them, but their excuses—the whole "low oil pressure" or "saving fuel" routine—are identical to what Ferrari goes through. It just seems like the Italians haven't quite mastered the art of using the same secret codes yet.

If Red Bull is the only one getting blamed, it’s because they're the only ones not actually performing. ☕If they
actually performed, they would've taken the title last year, and honestly, they'd be sitting on a mountain of cash this year too.

As for the other teams, who cares? We're only watching the top three contenders for the title anyway. Two of those rely on team orders, while the third one doesn't—and that third one happens to have the fastest car and still isn't winning.

Enough for the smart people.☕

I found it quite interesting—and honestly kind of hilarious—to watch the post-race comments on US news yesterday regarding this team order situation. While almost everyone involved, from Schumi to Coulthard, seemed to think it was just business as usual—that regardless of how it looked to us, it's perfectly normal since the team's interest comes first— only Horner seemed genuinely outraged by Ferrari's move. 🤣He just kept repeating it in shock: "But that was a team order! They told Massa to let him through! That's forbidden! They actually told him! We saw it!" 🤣 And he had a face like this -> 😕😕

Yeah, it seems like Red Bull is the only one that doesn't play that game. They just sit there, tapping their feet nervously, helplessly watching their drivers go wild until they eventually crash into each other. 😬

It really shows how green they are... sure, they might be more "innocent" than the others, but that automatically makes them "dumber," funnier, and less successful. And that's exactly why I'd say it's only because of that—they lose both the constructors' and the drivers' titles.

And if, as Schumi so eloquently put it, the sole goal and reason everyone is there is the title, then Red Bull's management philosophy deserves ridicule (which they get regularly) rather than praise. 😬

I wonder what would happen if they actually tried telling a driver to let another pass just once... it would be absolute chaos! If one Webber loses his mind and says all that just because a new wing was given to the lead driver—which is a much smaller issue than being told to yield position on track—imagine the meltdown.😁

Teams that operate like that don't stand a chance at winning a title. As we’re seeing—even when they have a significantly faster car... They’ll always lose out to the ones who traded chunks of their integrity for pure efficiency. I guess Formula 1 is just built that way, and honestly, it always has been.

Most world champions usually end up being the ones who are best at dancing right on the edge of what's considered moral. 😬

Everything here is spot on, word for word. 👍

Look, personally, I'm not that bothered by Red Bull's messiness. Screw it, they have the drivers they have, and they're the ones who "raised" them—that's their problem.

Of course it wouldn't work with them. If they actually tried it, Webber would've been kicked to the curb last year, Kovalainen would be driving an RB, and Webber would be stuck in a Trulli's car—it's obvious as day.

But that's not the point. Honestly, I don't care if they do it one way or the other. I like them better this way, though I'd have loved to see Vettel win the title.

One thing that really pisses me off, though, is the moralizing fans and even worse, the obnoxious journalists. They attack Red Bull for a perfectly logical decision and some of Helmut's comments, yet they stay silent and smirk about this Ferrari crap. 🙄

I mean, look at our guys—Blažičko is talking trash about the US vs. Chile match and trashing Red Bull, yet he’s staying dead silent about this whole Ferrari mess.👎

Honestly, I'm just sick of this double standard.

Look, Ferrari doing what's best for them is totally fine by me; it makes sense and I don't have an issue with that. But Alonso playing games while the media stays quiet? That really gets under my skin.🙂

Joshua Newman2 said:I absolutely agree that Vettel didn't do this on purpose; it was pure instinct. That said, the move was very much in the style of Schumacher (it’s hardly surprising that Jason Campbell70 is defending him 😁).
As for his later stint with Ferrari, I’m honestly speechless... But it goes to show exactly why I, someone who appreciates many different teams, can't stand just one...

👍 EXACTLY 🤣

I feel the exact same way. A lot of people here claim McLaren hasn't changed, but as a Vettel fan, I definitely don't care for Hamilton, and honestly, I'm not huge on Button either. Hamilton comes off as arrogant and slimy to me, while Button is just too soft and secretive. If you could fuse them into one driver right in the middle, you'd have perfection 😁 and they'd probably dominate for years. I don't have a deep love for any specific team, but even so, they're all way, way more likable than Ferrari ☕
.
If I were to make a list of my least favorite teams, it would look something like this:

1. Ferrari
2. Ferrari
3. Ferrari
4. Ferrari
5. Ferrari
6. Ferrari
7. Ferrari
8. Ferrari
9. Ferrari
10. Ferrari
11. Ferrari
12. Ferrari

Joshua Newman2 said:To touch on that point: anyone who has followed F1 since the days when Schumacher ran Ferrari won't be surprised that Massa had to step aside for Alonso yesterday. I’m not saying it’s right or smart; it’s just how they've always operated. No matter how much I criticize Red Bull for their inability to manage a team and throwing away points, I'll always respect them more than teams that don't even pretend to be sporting.

On another note—how are people (especially the folks over at stormybadger8) reacting to Vettel's start and him shoving Alonso into the wall? There are way too many pages to sift through, but if Webber had done that, he would have been branded a lunatic attempting to murder a colleague. I just hope the kid doesn't get a better pass, despite his habit of smoking.😁

Damn, I totally missed that detail.🤷

But the fact remains that Vettel's starts have been absolutely pathetic lately 🤦 and instead of actually trying to fix his mistake, he just tries to block the guy behind him—desperately holding onto his position out of pure frustration—only to screw up even worse immediately after. 🙄
At least that's how I saw the start at Silverstone 🤷 but hey, what do I know.

Honestly, Red Bull definitely needs a top-tier psychologist. I don't know what their deal is, but everyone there should probably go for a collective mental health checkup at least three times a week.👎

You can't tell who's crazier or more clueless: the management or the drivers.
GP Germany - 07/25/2010 in Formula 1 ·
The whole Ferrari vs. Red Bull-McLaren dynamic is pretty interesting to me.

In Turkey, Vettel was clearly faster than Webber, but there was total radio silence. Vettel just pins the throttle—way harder than Alonso was doing behind Massa—creeps up on Webber's rear end, practically swallows him whole, and boom, they collide. (Okay, maybe Vettel went left while Webber went right, but still.)

Then you've got Alonso catching up to Massa and pushing hard, but he can't get past him and eventually gives up. Of course, he’s probably got some cell phone tucked in his suit with an earpiece, so he yells "Montezemolo" into it. He dials a number a few times, but it's busy—probably some old guy rambling away with Charlie.🤷 The phone rings again and finally someone picks up. Alonso says, "Tell Massa I'm faster." A few minutes of silence pass, then they call Massa over the radio to explain what happened and how much slower he actually is compared to Alonso. Alonso really wanted to make sure everyone knew just how fast he was.

Meanwhile, in Turkey, Button was noticeably faster than Hamilton. He catches him and breezes past. Hamilton shouts "Dennis!" into his headset, and the phone rings immediately. Dennis answers instantly, and Hamilton tells him, "Explain to Janson that I'm faster and that he's going to run out of fuel if he doesn't get out of my slipstream." They relay the message to Button over the radio, and Hamilton pulls back ahead.

The point of this story: Vettel, Button, Webber, and Massa desperately need cell phones.🤣
Or maybe we should just ban phones in F1 cars altogether.🤣

wiredtiger8 said:Yeah, that hits the nail right on the head... it’s 90% grind and 10% talent.
The issue with Schumacher is that you can't replicate that today since testing is banned—the guy literally built his entire existence around being in that cockpit.
Look, I'm not against team orders, but there's a massive difference between what happened then and what we saw back in the Austrian GP 2002. Back then, it wasn't forbidden, and I'm pretty sure Ferrari got hit with a million-dollar penalty... so who knows what's coming next. I highly doubt they'll just stop at $100,000.
Honestly, don't hold your breath for anything other than an even steeper fine in US dollars. It feels to me like the penalties handed to Ferrari over the last two races were way too harsh due to circumstances, so now they're probably going to try some "compensation" move.

Btw.... when Massa was at the press conference and asked "what happened?", he really should have just said: "Well, you all saw it... Alonso was simply too fast for me... he's one of the fastest drivers to ever live, if not *the* fastest... I just didn't stand a chance against that kind of pace"
Of course, he’d have to pull that dead-serious face while saying it (you know, the Pervan style).
That would be a massive blow to Alonso's ego... and honestly, he wouldn't even be lying; he'd just be telling him and everyone else the truth.

🙏🙏🙏
Straight to the point. 👍

I haven't the slightest clue what was going through that kid's mind either... that move to block Alonso was completely irrational.

He just lunged right at him, visibly slowed down, and practically handed Massa an open lane...

It was a totally incomprehensible maneuver.🤷

I wasn't even kidding. My AC repairman finally showed up. I’ve been begging him for days, and wouldn't you know it? He actually rolls up today at 1:30 PM. 🙂

I guess Alonso is just fundamentally a good guy at heart, but it feels like the whole world has somehow conspired against him. 😳 😬

I'm heading out of this thread. You guys are being way too intense. 😁

Go Ferrari...

Honestly, I am totally fed up with him today for a few reasons:

1 - all that whining.
2 - nothing but overtaking, and not even aggressive stuff (I'll give Ferrari credit there; at least they made a smart call unlike everyone else).
3 - and that pathetic press conference stunt was the absolute bottom of the barrel. 👎
And then to top it off, he drops a line like, "whatever, I don't care." 🙄

Seriously, it would be a hundred times better if he just shoved his helmet on and didn't take it off until he got home. It’d be better for everyone if he just stopped making statements, stopped sending emails, and just stopped communicating with any living soul. 🤣

Now, suddenly, after putting together a race that was every bit as strong as Alonso's, he decides to start whining? What kind of foresight was he lacking before this mess unfolded, and frankly, Smedley is being a complete idiot by actively undermining his own team.
It would be much better for everyone involved if he just packed his bags and left. 😠

And Alonso is only as good as his teammate lets him be. If his teammate drives straight into a wall, sure, he wins. Whatever.

Can we please stop with this "super driver" vs. "car is everything" nonsense?🙄

They’re all elite drivers. The only difference is their personality—whether they're a coward, a whiner, an arrogant jerk, a calm gentleman, or a spoiled brat.

All this talk about "great drivers" or "the car makes the driver" is pointless. In my opinion, Vettel would have scored more points in a McLaren than Hamilton did, and if Hamilton were in a Red Bull with Webber, he’d probably have 8 DNFs and only 50 points, and they’d spend every single race absolutely destroying each other.🤣

Everything depends on the teammate and the crew. Honestly, the only fair way to race would be if every team only had one driver😁 so there wouldn't be any of this internal drama and bullshit.🤣

It's obvious. Massa is the second driver, trailing significantly in points, and he's helping the team by letting Alonso through since he's still in the hunt for the championship. It's all very simple...☕

And Massa has zero chance 🤣

God, the logic. How many points is Massa behind Hamilton that he supposedly has "no chance"? Before today's race, there were still 225 points left on the table—hardly more than what Hamilton has. Seriously, what kind of logic is that? Chandok still mathematically has a shot at the title.☕

Under the old scoring system, Massa was trailing less than Vettel was behind Button after the first 10 races last year.

Massa has a shot, just not against this slippery guy.
