My take? Mark Webber is an idiot. It honestly baffles me how he gets away with such blatant nonsense without facing any real consequences.
McLaren just had bad luck; they aren't solely responsible for losing that position.
As for what happened to Lewis, it was a total disaster. Personally, I’d call his move to overtake Webber a masterstroke—not just for this race, but in general. It was a brilliant pass: cunning, aggressive, and classic Lewis-esque. And let’s be clear, he did it by overtaking his direct, biggest rival right there on the track.

Of course, all my rambling would actually mean something if the overtake had worked. I think it did work, but the reckless, inconsiderate Webber refuses to yield under any circumstances. He’s got that scenario burned into his brain. To him, the shame of being overtaken is somehow worse than crashing into or damaging someone else. That's just how he is.
But still, it’s genuinely unfair that he walks away scot-free.
The only thing that might balance the scales is when the "other" drivers from the rival teams step up.

Don't worry, I have a gut feeling Felipe Massa will deal with Webber at the next race.😬

P. S. If Mark Webber happens to vanish from the public eye, the first person you should suspect of kidnapping him for a little old-school, heavy-handed interrogation involving some blunt force and rapid acceleration is definitely me 😠

🤣😂😂

So, suddenly Webber isn't so charming with all that aggressive driving of his? 🤣

Wow, how quickly things change. 😬

They had a massive 36-second cushion over Gumbek, so they basically had all the luxury in the world to do whatever they wanted.

Maybe just one lap earlier, they could have potentially helped Vettel get ahead of Alonso.

Regardless, the decision to pit Alonso at that specific moment was just plain terrible.🙏

Honestly, yeah. If they’d stayed out even one lap longer, they would’ve looked like absolute morons.🤣

They looked pathetic going out on the same lap. Honestly, they would've looked just as stupid if they’d gone out under the SC.🤣

No matter how you look at it, they're just idiots.😬

Besides that, you can tell their lap times have completely fallen off a cliff. Clearly, their tires just gave up on them.

The only stupid thing here was Vettel not pitting sooner. He was a full second faster on those new tires than he was on the old ones.😉

Check out this FIA analysis. [Link]

Check out laps 27 through 32.

Both of them are significantly faster on the harder compounds. Honestly, if Sebastian Vettel had actually stayed on track, that gap wouldn't have shrunk—it would've opened up even more.😳

Those idiots should've just cleared out earlier. 🤦

Totally agree. If Vettel got hit with one for what he did to Button, then Webber definitely deserves one for this.☕

Even if they did, they’d probably kill you after a race like this. 🤣

Sebastian Vettel and Alonso hitting the pits was actually perfect timing. 😳

If either of them had stayed out even one or two laps longer, they would've completely screwed up and dropped to like 7th or 8th place. 🤣

Plus, right after they pitted, Kobayashi and Senna collided and the SC came out. Going into the pits under the SC would have been absolute perfection. 🙏

I tuned in at noon; the track was barely damp, old man Mike was spinning out almost every lap, and plenty of others were messing up too, especially at that speed bump chicane—lots of car hopping 🙂

Right now, Red Bull's FP2 water is leading

Fernando Alonso really nailed that move 🤣😂

But that part where he had to push the car? Pure genius. 🤣😂

Btw, I think this race is gonna be absolute chaos. Whoever grabs the win here could easily be the champion🙂

It's interesting—everyone is hyped up, but we'll finally see who actually has the best car. Whoever wins today basically secures their shot at the title😁
Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Got two questions about Windows 7. If anyone knows the answers, I'd appreciate the help.🙂

1. My Windows experience index is sitting at 5.9. When I check the details, everything is around 7.5 except for the disk.😕
The disk my system is installed on is:
KINGSTON Solid State Drive 2.5" Serial ATA II-300 64 GB MLC

Dammit, why is it the slowest part of the system?😕
Isn't this disk supposed to be faster than a standard hard drive?🤷

2. I can't for the life of me get a Media server (Wild Media server), Windows Media Center, or any kind of Share working on my televisions.😕
It worked perfectly fine back on Windows XP.😢

I set up a shared folder and it shows up on other PCs on the network and even works on Popcorn media Player, but none of my TVs can see anything in Windows 7.😕

Could this be some kind of router issue?🤷

I'm using a Thomson TG782.

Maybe the problem is there, but it still baffles me—if that were the case, how does everything work fine on Popcorn?🤷

Joshua Newman2 said:That's what I was thinking. Honestly, I have no clue where things went sideways.

If you call this journalism, we have a problem. You can't just hype up the "safe" drivers and expect us to swallow it; this kind of fluff drags the whole site's reputation down. Honestly, I was a little caught off guard myself. After seeing how Lewis Hamilton lost his cool following that crash in the US, I actually started forgetting he’s one of the best in the business. Sure, losing his head like that isn't going to help his image with me anytime soon, but let's be real—the guy is an absolute world-class driver.

Regarding your take on Lewis Hamilton... Look, I get it. He’s not exactly everyone's favorite guy, myself included. But man, he is putting in an absolute masterclass this season. The fact that he’s been fighting for the title from day one while stuck in a slower car than Vettel and Mark Webber says everything you need to know. Maybe things will flip at Monza, but right now? It honestly looks like he might just steamroll his way to a dominant championship win.

I'm with you on this one—this is definitely Hamilton's season. 🙏

I’m being dead serious when I say there’s no reserve here: he is hands down the best driver this season. Honestly though, his previous seasons have been a total disaster. You give him an incredible car, let him dominate, and then the whole system just falls apart right at the finish line.😉

Vettel is basically the opposite, honestly. Every single one of his seasons has been pretty much trashed right from the jump, only for him to turn it around and drive like a beast in the second half. He’s always been at his absolute best during that late-season surge. Every season has followed that exact pattern—except for this one.😢

2007
2008 It was easily his best season, especially how much better he looked in the second half. It’s a shame, really. If he’d been driving for a top-tier outfit like Ferrari or McLaren back then, he’d probably be sitting on two titles by now.
2009 Red Bull Racing was just too weak this season, honestly. They looked great during the second half, but that massive handicap at Monza killed them. Seeing how much McLaren dominated there—that might have been the real turning point for the whole season.
Even with that massive head start, I still think he would’ve caught him if he'd crossed the line first at Monza. Honestly? I just think Jenson Button would've cracked under the pressure.

We might see a repeat of this season, but if he manages to pull up right next to Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, and Mark Webber—or somehow finds a way to outpace them in some freakish combination—I’d honestly put money on him taking the title right after.😉

Still, there's plenty of time left, and Monza is one of those races he’ll be thinking about for the rest of his life regardless. 🙏
She came along and took everything from him.

I know exactly what I want. 🙂

Man, there aren't many fans out there rooting for teams like Toro Rosso who actually get to see their driver pull off both a win and a P1. It’s a rare sight. 🙏
This has to be his race. This is it. It’s now or never for him this season.😢

It’s a shame. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if they just took out Kimi at 🙂 to make it happen. You can only imagine what it would've done for Force India and Fisichella if he'd actually pulled off a win there.
Pros and Cons of Sebastian Vettel in Formula 1 ·
Your link is broken😉

You probably meant this 🤔

I actually agree with this. It’s pretty surprising coming from a site that's basically a mouthpiece for the British, but the logic here is solid.

That media influence is wild if you think about it.🤣

Just look at it:

Nobody was really tearing into Fernando Alonso back then, and nobody is doing it now either—even though the guy has been a total mess for four seasons straight, and he's easily the most expensive driver in today's NASCAR.

Nobody makes a big deal out of Kimi either. He won his title on some insane stroke of luck that honestly sounds like a clickbait headline.😁 Personally, I was stoked for him,🙏 but let's be real: his time at Ferrari was basically a coma.

And nobody ever called out Lewis Hamilton for all his nonsense. Even though he's been driving one of the best cars since the start of his career—cars that were occasionally downright dominant—he only managed one title, and he barely scraped it by thanks to a totally clueless Timo Glock.😳 I mean, what kind of "champion" barely edges out Glock in the final lap of the final race🤣 to steal the title in the dying seconds? And his only real competition was Massa.🤣

Bottom line: whether we're looking at 2007 or just now, if Vettel wins a title through some fluke, it'll still be way more deserved than Kimi's (if you only count his Ferrari years) or Lewis Hamilton's title.

Even if he doesn't win anything else, it's not like he's running out of time in his career.☕

Exactly. That’s why there’s a massive pile of banned clones sitting there with zero posts.😬

They probably ban by IP address. I've seen plenty of clones get the boot without even making a single post, and I highly doubt anyone's actually reporting those PMs.😉

Anyway, I spend most of my time on the F1 subreddit, but we had this one guy on our old forum who’d get banned like 5 to 10 times a month. I know how the cycle works—you'll occasionally get a PM from one of his clones, then a few minutes later, you realize there's nobody left to reply to.🤷

Then they just make clone accounts to try and send a PM, which gets their ban extended for cloning, while the people receiving them have no clue who's even messaging them🤣

fadedwalker18 said:Before the season kicked off, I put my money on Sebastian Vettel. Just to be clear—I’m not actually pulling for him. I was just being objective, looking at his drive after Miami 2009 and how much Newey's car was going to improve.

But, after Belgium, I’d say his chances of taking the title are basically zero. Belgium was the breaking point for me.

I don't see Jenson Button as a serious favorite either; he needs everything to go perfectly—rain, or some massive blunder from Lewis Hamilton. As for Fernando Alonso, I’m still holding out a tiny bit of hope (purely subjective here... :D).

Between Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton, I think Lewis is more likely to pull it off. I don't doubt Mark, but the Brit has this massive hunger to prove himself again. Look, the Australian doesn't have a title, but once Ron Dennis's kid gets a grip, he doesn't let go...

what doesn't he let go of? Tiny little guys pushing him back onto the track from the gravel?😂

If anyone has an issue with it, blame Hamilton. Honestly, if the McLaren driver wins the championship, it’s going to be Button, not Hamilton—regardless of how much Witmarshi and Dennis cry about it late into the night until they're bald. That's just how it is.☕

Webber has a huge shot, but it wouldn't take much for him to lose every single chance in just two races.🤣

The championship is set up like this:

An imaginary start in Monza:

1. Webber
2. Hamilton

they crash out in the first corner and we end up with:
Button, Vettel, and Alonso on the podium, all within a few points of the leader.☕

Vettel could be at -6 points (which resets if he wins the next race even if Hamilton takes 2nd).
Button is at -10.
Alonso is at -16.

All of this is totally recoverable in just two out of six remaining races without needing some crazy alien scenario to happen.

Vettel was trailing Button by about 35 points (87.5 under the new rules), so he caught up and almost overtook him by the end of the season. Kimi was trailing by 17 points (42.5 under the new rules) going into the last two races and ended up catching and passing both Hamilton and Alonso.🤣

Which means realistically, 42.5 x 3 (for 6 races) = 127.5. Rosberg has a chance, but grandpa doesn't.😬

Rosberg for the No. 1 driver spot at MGP.😳

I'm 100% with you on this.🤣

That goes for you too, 😬

Right now, Sebastian Vettel is leading Mark Webber in qualifying, even if he looks worse in terms of points and actual races. But by the end of the season? He could easily blow past Mark and take the championship, or he could totally fall apart, stay stuck at 151 points, and look like a complete idiot.☕

Nobody knows what's going to happen, so making any kind of judgment before the season ends is just pointless.☕

Total 100 potential points

Honestly, you could have easily racked up four warnings for trolling, spamming, going off-topic, or insulting users. You'd be posting over at Kaiser Permanente instead of here.

You could hit 100 potential points in just three hours without anyone questioning if the warnings were deserved.
And you? You’d definitely complain about the criteria 100% of the time.

This isn't that "relaxed" chat thread. Sure, it’s not strictly professional,😬 but it's still not just a casual chat room either.
But hey, whenever you go looking for strict rule enforcement, you usually find it—and it’s almost never what you actually wanted.

Most of us post stuff that looks somewhat similar, but nothing quite like yours, back-to-back.
Most of this is just us messing around with each other, and I'm not sure Joe even takes it that seriously.

To be honest, Seth is way too lenient with all of us on this forum, including you sometimes.
With a bunch of other mods around, half the rules in the handbook would probably be ignored at Kaiser Permanente without a single word.

It’s especially bad here after certain races with all the stupid drama, like:
the RB crash in Turkey, the Button-Hamilton showdown, Hamilton overtaking the SC, or Alonso getting penalized in the United Kingdom.
And suddenly there’s a mountain of posts right on the edge of breaking the rules, yet it always ends with just a few warnings, a lecture, and a locked thread—but 95% of the time, nobody gets banned.

Which, of course, just cools things down—unless someone keeps pushing their luck after a warning.
Personally, I think this is the best way to moderate. It teaches everyone self-control, and most people here know when to stop being idiots and actually do it.
If we took the opposite approach—mass bans and Kaiser Permanente being flooded with useless threads—most people would just get even more pissed off.

Look at my buddy as the perfect example. In the last year, he’s been quiet as a mouse here, totally within the lines and nowhere near a ban.
Meanwhile, on the sports forums, he goes absolutely feral like he's been stung by a swarm of wasps—literally a completely different person and someone who deserves a permanent ban for anything else.

If you were on the F1 side of the forum dealing with politics or sports and kept poking people like this, you'd be facing a ban at least two or three times a month.

Be glad the rules are what they are. Try poking people less and maybe get a reality check.😉

Honestly, I don't get the logic here.☕>

Dammit, if they’d let Massa keep blocking Alonso, he would’ve done it regardless. And Alonso? He definitely would’ve pushed. What happens then? Most likely they collide or both spin out. It would’ve been so easy for them both to DNF, handing the win to Vettel on a silver platter. Instead of a 1-2, we’d be looking at:
2-3, or just 2, or 1-3, or 3, or even a total zero.

Way smarter than Red Bull.☕>

Boring and slimy.👎 Not insignificant.👎 A setup.🤦

But in the end, it was for the team.👍 For Alonso.👍

Screw it, who cares about $100,000 if that move secures you the championship? Plenty of people bet way more than that, and that's being generous.

urbanowl96 said:There haven't been many instances like that, but my personal favorite goes all the way back to the 1956 Italian GP. It was the season finale. Fangio had to retire, leaving Moss in the lead and Collins sitting in third. For Collins to snag his first world title, he needed to finish second; otherwise, Moss would take it. Musso, driving a Ferrari (just like Fangio and Collins), was sitting in second place. He was asked to hand his car over to Fangio, but he refused—he wouldn't yield to Fangio, and he wouldn't let Collins through either. Eventually, Collins pulled into the pits, voluntarily handed his car to Fangio, and Fangio finished second to secure his fourth title. If Collins had just kept racing, he likely would have finished second anyway since Musso dropped out, making him the first Englishman to become a world champion—yet today, almost nobody remembers his name.

So, here we have a single team where team orders were ignored and true teamwork was completely absent.

🙏🙏🙏

But still, there's a massive difference here. Back then, one driver could choose to refuse while another chose to be selfless. There isn't even a shred of similarity to what we see today.

Personally, I couldn't care less if the champion ends up being Vettel, Webber, Button, Hamilton, Alonso, or Schumacher.

All I want is to actually enjoy watching F1 races.😉

What’s really getting on my nerves right now is Ferrari's pathetic behavior. Look, no matter how much I like Vettel, I'd much rather see them push Webber to the limit—even if they crash—than watch Webber brake mid-race just to let him through. If they kept playing those games, I'd be the first one calling them out.😳

Who finishes first, second, or dead last? Who cares? As long as we're all here having a good time and laughing at the chaos, that's what matters.🤣
