Maria Nelson2 said:Fernando Alonso is claiming he honestly hasn't the slightest idea how he managed to slice past his teammate Felipe Massa so effortlessly to snatch up that US Grand Prix win.
🤣🤣🤣🤣

The guy’s clearly lost his marbles 😁

how does he not get it 😲

it's just those famous 0.6 seconds times three—exactly that 1.8 second gap per lap 😬 🤣

dustyskipper77 said:It’s obvious that Vettel is the clear number one at Red Bull despite how much Christian Horner tries to deny it, just like Hamilton is the lead at McLaren. So why is everyone acting shocked that Massa has to step aside for Fernando Alonso?😕He wouldn't even touch a new contract unless they agreed to let him be the second driver...
Alonso actually has a shot at the title, whereas Massa wouldn't win it even if he were racing all by himself...😂

So what, Hamilton and Vettel aren't in the title hunt either? 🤣

I mean, when was the last time you saw Mark Webber or Jenson Button getting told to brake mid-corner or listening to those idiotic radio strategies?🤣

We’ve only really seen this kind of mess at Ferrari. It doesn't happen often, and then on top of that, Alonso starts analyzing everything, claiming how perfectly he hit the apex while Massa apparently had "some issues."🤣

cosmicridge5 said:Give me a break. If Button had about 60 points right now and we were looking at this exact scenario over at McLaren, you really think they wouldn't do whatever it takes to ensure Lewis finishes first? Anyone who thinks otherwise is being incredibly naive. Whether it’s done through direct orders or some subtle coded messages, the end result is just as unfair. Though, I suppose you could argue whether it even counts as "unfair" when you consider the massive stakes, the money, and the underlying politics, much like what Blaze and Novak were mentioning earlier.

That whole fuel situation at McLaren is basically just a team order 🤷 wrapped in a slightly more sophisticated disguise, but it's still transparent to everyone watching. We all know team orders exist; it’s nothing new or surprising. The only difference is the method—at McLaren, they use fuel levels, whereas here they just tell Mass that Nando is faster, which he actually 😁
was.
So, what is the actual difference in the grand scheme of things? Let's not be hypocrites 😁

Yeah, and Sebastian Vettel is a massive jerk because of some wing issue, just like the entire Red Bull crew, but apparently that's totally fine.🙏

Edward Howard2 said:Look, if Red Bull can play favorites with Vettel and McLaren can pull that stunt with Norris, why is everyone acting shocked that Ferrari is backing Alonso? He’s been consistently outclassing Massu all season long, both in qualifying and during the race. You just don't see that kind of gap at Red Bull or McLaren right now.

Give me a break. If Webber hadn't braked like that, Vettel would've blown past him. Stop with the favoritism talk.🤣

cosmicridge5 said:I’d have to agree with 😳. Actually, they’re pushing him way more than they push Ferrari Alonso. You can see it clearly now... if Hemić were trailing Button (just like Nando is behind Massa right now) and still had this many points in the standings, things wouldn't look like this. There's no way they'd let Button have a shot at this 😳

And honestly, the gap between Button and Hemić (in terms of skill, points, and the fact that Button is the reigning world champion!) is much smaller than the massive gap between Nando and Massa when you look at everything else 😳

🤣 🤣 🤣

I know this was posted like 49 laps ago, but I still gotta say my piece. 😬 🤣

Betty Moore34 said:And why on earth wouldn't Massa have a chance in this race? The man finally delivered a legitimate result during qualifying, so why shouldn't he go after Alonso?
Don't let Massa catch you off guard today.😉

Easy for you to say. The real problem is if he surprises Alonso.😬

Betty Moore34 said:Let’s go Ferrari, we need that win today!
It doesn't matter which driver takes it, but if I had any say in the matter, it would have to be Alonso, simply because he’s the only one actually standing a fighting chance at clinching the championship.

Nah, Massa has way better odds. He's the number one driver, and if a single drop of rain hits the track, he becomes the instant favorite.🤣🤣🤣

redheron12 said:At the end of the day, only the final results matter—tomorrow will show us who actually has the pace for the race, because these qualifying times don't mean a thing. I mean, seriously, wtf... the idea that Lozek is within 0.002 of Vettel? No way.

Whitmarsh mentioned they sacrificed qualifying performance to prioritize race pace—so, honestly, anything could happen tomorrow. 🤷

It’s possible—maybe even likely—that both Red Bull cars end up finishing in the top spots. 😁

Or maybe the McLaren crew forgets a few wrenches or some tools and strips the car, or maybe they forget to put the wheels on. Who knows, hell could freeze over before then 🤣

One thing is for sure: I’m expecting a massive, nail-biting race, rain or shine 🙏

redheron12 said:Don't tease me—I'm telling you, qualifying pace doesn't mean much here. McLaren always seemed to lag behind during qualifying, yet they were consistently faster during the actual race, often going toe-to-toe with Red Bull. We'll just have to wait and see tomorrow, though one thing is certain: one of those Red Bull drivers is bound to shoot themselves in the foot.

McLaren was already trailing Red Bull, but now they're falling even further behind. This track should actually suit them way more than it suits Red Bull.🤷

Red Bull hasn't brought any updates, which means McLaren clearly took a step or two backward instead of moving forward.

That diffuser was supposed to give them an edge in qualifying, but instead, they’ve got a bigger deficit than before.🤷 It's weird, but looks like they totally botched it. Probably due to the weather and the rain during Practice 1 and Practice 2. Shit happens, I guess.

Betty Moore34 said:If rain starts coming down, I’m calling it now: McLaren is definitely grabbing a podium spot, and if the weather holds, they might even sweep both positions.

If it actually rains, McLaren might struggle just to break into the top 10.🤣

If it really pours, I’m looking at Rubens, Vettel, and Sutil for the podium—though honestly, I haven't a clue who would actually pull it off. I low-key think Sutil could even snag a win for Force India in that mess; his car is basically built for wet weather.🙂

Maria Nelson2 said:You’re clearly tripping on the wrong kind of mushrooms again😁

Anyway, I can't help but wonder what kind of luck Webber managed to stumble into this time 🤷 ; after what happened last year 🤣, it feels like maybe Alonso is actually faster in qualifying thanks to that high-octane Ferrari, but then you have Massa outperforming Red Bull wtf 🤷 WTF?

Well, he didn't get what he wanted, so he wasn't feeling it.🤣
Of course, once they handed him over to Vettel, he started throwing a tantrum.😂

Now he’d probably love it if they just kicked him to the curb again.🤣

wearypanther34 said:Honestly, looking back at the last two Grands Prix, Fernando should have easily secured 3rd and 4th place if it hadn't been for all that manipulation going on behind the scenes.

What, did they mess with his head or something?🤷

Seriously, stop making stuff up. Any driver knows they have to give that position back in that situation—that's nothing new. It's like saying Vettel should've been leading if he hadn't tried to overtake Webber. Sure, he "should" have, but he's the one who messed up by getting involved in that mess, and he's the one who pays for it when it fails. He wanted more points, but ended up with nothing.☕

Maria Nelson2 said:Jenson Button shoved Mark Webber right into Felipe Massa, which ended up sending him straight into the back of Fernando Alonso's car. 😲

It’s just one thing after another—first you see Alonso jump ahead of Vettel, then Hamilton manages to leapfrog both of them, and before you know it, Kubica is left struggling with a dying Renault engine. At this rate, we won't see a Williams win again until somewhere around the year 3700. 😬)

That’s not how it works. Button is way too much of a gentleman to get into a scrap with anyone. He basically pulls over the second he sees Hamilton coming. Honestly, you'd expect Button to just sit there and wait until Hamilton hits at least the first turn before even moving.🤣

Maria Nelson2 said:Honestly, the spot Mark Webber is in right now is like planting a time bomb in the middle of a stadium crowd... there's just no way it ends well 😲

Honestly, someone should just tell Mark Webber to give Felipe Massa a little nudge right into the back of Fernando Alonso's car. 🤣😂

That would be the absolute peak.🤣

wearypanther34 said:Ferrari 🙏, this marks their third solid performance in a row, so let's just hope nobody tries to pull a fast one on them again

Fernando looks like he's in peak form all weekend, and honestly, this could very well be his race to win

It was about time Felipe Massa stepped it up

🤣 They'll be just as good as those last two races. 🤣🤣🙏🙏

I'm hoping for the opposite, honestly. If they can actually drive this one without screwing something up, they might actually close that gap with McLaren.🤣

But I've got a bad feeling Alonso will pull some "genius" move of his own, and if even a single drop of rain hits the track, Massa's going straight to the stands.😢

So anything goes. I mean, who actually believed Branson when he said he’d be running private space flights? NOBODY. Yet, here we are...

Exactly. Next season, thirteen teams will inexplicably turn into DokIng, while their car—codenamed XD1—will somehow be the fastest thing on track. Meanwhile, the rest of the grid will be lagging seven or eight seconds behind them in qualifying. We might even see races where McLaren and Ferrari can't even show up because they fail the 107% rule.🤣

Naturally, the car will be driven by Kerum and Bandić at every single track, including our local circuit🙏 which is supposedly being built right next to the Split Maternity Hospital. We’ll probably have a second race in two years too—down in a major US city like Chicago—where the garage is just a pit stop and the track cuts straight through downtown.😁

The car will feature Šuker's signature, because he’ll secure massive piles of cash through "wise investments" and insanely cheap loans with ridiculous interest rates. At this rate, the banks will end up paying him back instead of the other way around.🙏

Of course, Bandić and Kerum will spend half the season slapping each other over who gets to be the number one driver, while the team principal, Zdravko Mamić - Maminho, will be totally out of his depth and unable to pick a favorite.🤣
