They were the very first band I ever obsessed over. It’s been about 18 years since then. Honestly, regardless of what anyone else says—tastes are subjective, after all—to me, they just hit different. They have that raw energy and everything else you need to actually love a band. Anyone heading to the concert in Chicago on June 15th?
Matthew Hall37 said:Chlorine is a highly toxic gas. It affects the lungs and eyes at just 3 ppm in the air. It’s also incredibly corrosive; the vapors attack both the eyes and respiratory system. At 15 ppm in the air, you'll feel throat irritation, and 50 ppm is dangerous even for a short duration. Bottom line: you really need to read the safety data sheet that should accompany any chlorine delivery to a pool facility. If one isn't provided, your employers are breaking the law.
My chemistry knowledge is a bit rusty, so I doubt I'd fully grasp everything on a safety data sheet. I'll take a look when I get to work, though, and hopefully you can help me make sense of it😁. What exactly are we looking for on those sheets? What kind of info is vital?
How does daily exposure to chlorine actually affect the human body? Part of my job involves handling chlorine—specifically for pool sanitation. Because many companies try to cut corners on labor costs, they often skip hiring specialists. Instead, they hand these tasks over to complete amateurs who receive almost zero actual training on the process. I spend my days in damp environments where chlorine and other acids are constantly evaporating. My skin has taken a serious hit, looking like a wrinkled prune, and I’ve started dealing with digestive issues and stomach irritation. I have an appointment with my doctor this Monday, but if anyone here knows more about the long-term effects, I’d appreciate the insight.🙂

I’ve already cut it down to just a drink or two on Saturdays. I can't go any lower than that.😁 Lola, I don't have the energy to dig through all these posts right now. Besides, it's hard to focus when my eye won't stop twitching.
My eyelid has been twitching for about two and a half weeks now, and honestly, I’m starting to lose my patience. It’s happening more frequently lately, which is incredibly distracting. I find myself blinking one eye mid-conversation, making me look like a total weirdo during serious discussions.
I have no idea what caused this; I just know it's irritating and won't quit.
The real question is, how do I make it stop? And no, slapping my hand against my eye every time it happens isn't a viable solution.
I’d much rather see Prince perform. That is the kind of concert I actually want to attend. 😁 To be clear, I don't mean to sound like I'm looking down on the Rolling Stones; it’s honestly just a matter of burnout. I feel like I've heard them everywhere for as long as I can remember (and I assume everyone else feels the same way), so I've just grown a bit tired of them. I don't think there's any arrogance in saying that.
Stone fans? Am I really supposed to drop hundreds just to watch them on a screen? 😁 Or pay a few hundred bucks to sit there drinking lukewarm beer—and I don't even drink beer?
Even if I managed to snag a ticket, I’d probably just give it away. Honestly, I can't stand Stone.
I'm all for banning smoking in public places. If the gentlemen who insist on smoking want to freeze their butts off, they can go head out outside away from us non-smokers.😁
It’s a pretty heavy film, though I did appreciate the cinematography. Srđan " Žika Todorović is a legend, and I'll be watching anything he's in😍. The kid playing his brother shows promise, but honestly, he could have given a much stronger performance. That said, there are definitely better films out there.
The Smart shop isn't by the Black Merchant; it’s actually in that walkway where Planet Music is. So, if you take Frankopanska and turn right onto Ilic, it should be the first or second turn on the right, if I recall correctly.
