mistywolf17 said:And please, don't go trying to excuse something you aren't even fully aware of just because you want to push back against the moderators. Some people earned their bans through truly awful behavior, and honestly, grouping Steven Ruiz in with them is... well, I don't even know how to describe it.
Mistywolf17, I’m judging based on what’s right in front of my eyes—which is what most of the users here are doing. I’m not saying Steven Ruiz was being rude or bringing parents into it, but honestly, it's a joke—there are other users who were just as polite while insulting parents, yet they had their bans extended.🤷 Maybe you aren't "in the loop" because you're also just judging by what you see, but I'm certainly not against the moderators. In fact, I actually hang out with a few of them in real life. What I take issue with is the lack of basic decency—regardless of whether it's coming from a moderator or a user (like Lyle-in)—and this double standard regarding the chat rules in the corner (like what happened with Steven Ruiz).
I'll say it again: moderators should be our role models, not a textbook example of how *not* to behave. 😉
mistywolf17 said:I've actually already tried searching for a link to a case like that, since it wasn't something I was previously aware of. But I couldn't find any link. 😕
Honestly, I can't be bothered digging through the ban corner, but if you really insist... 😍
Regarding the reply directed at me—you were quoting my post as if it were about permits at the KzB... 😉 I was referring to something else entirely, but whatever.
It's pointless, people. 😉 Steven Ruiz, hats off to you for admitting you were wrong. 🙏 The rest of you... 👋
Steven Ruiz said:Actually, that isn't quite right at all! Bans usually get longer when someone tries to clone themselves while they're already under a Ban, or when they start sending those weird "love letters" to the moderators—you know, the ones where they bring up inappropriate topics involving the moderator's family or the moderator themselves—or even when they just stubbornly keep opening the exact same thread over and over after it's been closed.
And we definitely haven't done any of those things...
And if they start chatting in the ban corner, the thread gets closed immediately, and the user gets a heads-up that their ban is about to be lengthened. 😉
mistywolf17 said:What about kika? After her thread was shut down, she didn't go on to open another 15 different threads. And she didn't resort to attacking anyone's parents. That is a pretty significant difference, I guess.
Of course—since her ban was lifted just twelve hours later and she was reinstated to the mod team.🤣
Honestly, people—for God's sake, stop it. Please don't try to justify behavior that we all know was out of line. It happened, it's over, let's just hope it doesn't happen again, and move on.
Daniel Ward87 said:Then go ahead and stay consistent to the bitter end. Who said we shouldn't be punished? We have been—we've taken the strikes. My issue is just how you all insist we were being intentionally smug or arrogant to justify much harsher penalties 😕. That’s not how it went down from my perspective. We were punished exactly how the moderators of this sub-forum decided we deserved to be...
And honestly, the generalizations being thrown around here are pretty wild...
Daniel Ward87
You all got sanctioned because the users revolted and after AXMi made it clear they had no interest in stepping in to moderate, even if they agreed the behavior was unacceptable. Therefore—please—there is no excuse for what went down.
mistywolf17 said:Those who don't get a response are mostly trolls or clones of permanently banned accounts, and they know it. They're just playing dumb. 😉
The thing is, it's not just the thread starters reading these—it's the rest of the community who have no clue they're dealing with trolls or whatever else. The impression the mods leave by ignoring these threads is honestly terrible. Is it really that hard to just write "clone" or "heavy trolling" and lock the topic? 🤷 If it's such a struggle, fine—I'll do the work for you; just copy and paste my two sentences. 😍 🤷 (I'm being cheeky here, but I'm not far from the truth. 😉)
Sorry, but I really have to weigh in here. There’s been an issue—not even caused by trolls or spammers (which, for the record, I am neither)—but specifically regarding Lyl's urge to be rude, arrogant, and toss around insults and medical diagnoses like she’s some kind of specialist. Thank God the mods can actually see the posts your colleague wrote before they were scrubbed once the PŽK staff realized she had completely messed things up.
No matter how much you try to justify her behavior—sorry, but honestly, it just doesn't fly with me.😉
Look, there are great mods, sure. But there are also absolute disasters... At least admit that the quality of the sub-forum depends entirely on the quality of its moderators.🤷
Edit: Just consider the difference between the average user staring at a ban thread for days begging for an explanation, versus Steven Ruiz's private little parties. I still remember when Pec used to hand out much harsher penalties—like slapping colleagues with a 30-point deduction just for chatting in the corner.😉 Short and sweet: I don't care... I know life isn't perfect and I have no intention of losing sleep over a forum, but it’s shameful when the mods behave worse than the users. They are supposed to be the gold standard for discussion, not the subject of these arguments.
Kyle King4, don't you dare summon 😠 Back when they sidelined us and relegated us to the "basement," we actually got to know the crew quite well—and we've been great buddies with the little bear and the tin (they even drop by from the upper floors more often than you'd think) Honestly, I find this whole thing about calling the OFF topic section some kind of trash sub-forum—where everything is just fleeting topics... yeah, I'm just so deeply offended 😢 to this group 👋 and to the newcomers 👋 😍
It might not technically violate any rules, but it’s incredibly tacky—truly pathetic behavior from both the users and the moderators alike. This isn't the kind of standard an American forum should strive for; frankly, it's the sort of conduct that deserves a sanction. I know plenty of online communities where posting a PP gets you a permanent ban, and honestly, I think that's fair play. Similarly, harassment via private message should be penalized—especially when you don't even have the option to hit the ignore button. The one thing I am absolutely certain of is that I will never, ever send a PM to Steven Ruiz. 🤣
😍 As far as I can tell, there was one ban issued—which was promptly overturned—followed immediately by a 500-point penalty and a permanent 😍 for the next sentence. So, it’s not exactly like the mods broke a sweat cleaning up the threads—especially since this is just a chat topic. Even my very first post in this thread was deleted for reasons that remain entirely opaque to me 🤷 (I could only resume posting after I sent a DM to the moderator asking why my posts were being wiped—an inquiry that was met with total silence).
Looking at the whole mess, I find the moderation of this PDF somewhat laughable—at least from certain members—but I find the administration's support of it truly disheartening. They seem content to let the moderator's insults slide while silently, or perhaps not so silently, endorsing this ban against BlackRock. I assume you all see some higher purpose in this chaos, because frankly, I don't. 🤷 👋
slycrane94 said:The mistake here—if we can call it that—is using a warning card to issue a ban instead of just applying a direct ban of the same length. Unfortunately, quite a few moderators follow this pattern, even though I’d much prefer they just go straight to a direct ban for those "last straw" moments. Still, it’s more of a pedagogical blunder than anything truly egregious.
So, you're essentially agreeing that based on that one sentence, Lyla deserved a 7-day ban—and if I've parsed the permanent ban from the social club correctly, she earned that too??? Because, frankly, I still maintain the punishment is wildly disproportionate to the "offense." Just to be perfectly clear: William has dealt with bans before—bans that neither he nor anyone in his circle ever questioned (not necessarily because they were always justified, but because they weren't as absurd as this one). In this specific instance, I truly believe Lyla overstepped; if a single sentence warrants a 500-point deduction and a lifetime ban from the social club, this platform will be a ghost town very soon—though, sadly, nobody will even bother reading that PDF without using bot accounts 😍)
slycrane94 said:If everyone agrees, then by definition, the admin team is doing its job perfectly. Conversely—and just as surprisingly—there are plenty of times when they don't agree at all. There’s no grand conspiracy here. Furthermore, a tiny fraction of users have issues with moderators; I highly doubt the mods are always the culprits in every single dispute being discussed here.
I concur—but isn't there even a microscopic chance that a moderator actually messed up? 🤷 The possibility that someone handed out an excessive penalty for a minor "offense" is still on the table. 🤷 I ask this because, in my subjective view—much like how lylin's subjective view is that such a comment is worth 500 points—a 500-point penalty for a single sentence from William seems a bit steep.
edit: apologies Tyler Ross86 for crashing your thread, but we are talking about the exact same moderator. 😉
It depends—if you send it now, it should hit your account by tomorrow afternoon. But if you wait until Friday afternoon, then you’re looking at Monday...
If you’re an existing JPMorgan Chase customer, you can handle canceling those statements yourself online 😉. Otherwise—if you don't have an account there—you'll just have to head down to a local branch .
