Regarding those uploads... The video can't be longer than 10 minutes or over 1024 MB. http://www.youtube.com
Actually, no. You can upload videos longer than 10 minutes on YouTube. It probably has something to do with how you set up your account initially.
Back in the day, if you signed up for a Director account, you could get unlimited video length. They don't offer that anymore, though those legacy users who joined the "Director" group back then still have that perk. Even back then, there was a 100MB limit, but nowadays those accounts are bumped up to 1024 MB (roughly 1GB). Here are the tiers:
redowl90 said:Exactly. A total cinematic classic. That was my intention. Well, look... That same "classic" category includes Dr. Strangelove, Above the Coward's Nest, Apocalypse Now, and over 60% of the movies on that list... Calling them indies is a stretch...
But if they weren't produced by those major studios, then they qualify as independent (indie). Simple as that..

Isn't it?
Are those films considered indie? I always find myself wondering about that while watching.
An independent film—or an indie, as we often call them—is simply a production created outside of the major Hollywood studio system. I remember catching a small screening in a tiny theater in Austin back in the day, and the energy was just incomparable.
They probably fit. It’s a bit of a stretch to lump Apocalypse Now in with Donnie Darko, I'll admit, but we aren't the ones who get to define what "indie" actually means.
Michael Bay is crafting one of the most visually stunning action movies out there. Sure, there’s a fair amount of cheesy melodrama mixed in, but honestly, what can you really do about it?

Ah, and then there's those slow-motion close-ups of his. It just makes me think of Scarlett Johansson in The Island 🙏 🙏 I think they went a bit overboard with all the action in The Island. If they had just cut that building scene, it would have turned out much better..
I tend to be an optimist, so I’ll still go with that one as my top pick. My least favorite has to be The Patriot... honestly, there's just way too much patriotism in it, even for my taste.
I’m casting my vote for Independence Day. I remember seeing it in the theater, and I never miss it when it's on TV. It’s easily my favorite blockbuster of all time.
By the way, alongside the already famous cast, we should highlight that the leading lady is Mary McDonnell, who is also well known for her role as President Roslin in Battlestar Galactica.
Hmm. For me, there are two films that just feel ahead of their time: The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) and Sunset Boulevard (1950). While Sunset Boulevard has that classic black-and-white look, I could honestly never tell you that Dance felt so old.
