So I see you guys bringing up Rachel Green. And yeah, look, she’s pretty limited as an actress, but honestly? I could've seen her doing something totally different in Horrible Bosses. I didn't catch Jackie in Oz, though.
swiftviper28 said:Adam Sandler, for sure. That guy calls himself a "comedian," but honestly? He’s just not funny... Robert De Niro totally blew it with those Flocker movies—I mean, what was he even thinking?
I still think Sandler can pull it off when he actually tries. His movies just keep getting worse and worse lately, but he isn't inherently a bad actor...
Let’s get one thing straight: we aren't talking about niche indie actors here. This is about the big commercial stars—the ones famous enough that they actually make it into theaters across America. Also, let's stick to people who are still active today.
And look, this isn't a "hate watch" thread. We're looking at more than just acting talent; there are plenty of other factors at play...
I’m also going to pass on commenting on singers like Maddox and that crowd. Honestly, there's nothing left to say there...
I'll kick things off with an actress, though.
Little Mila Kunis was actually pretty cute and charming playing that spoiled brat Jackie Kennedy in Crazy 70s... But watching her "acting" in that mediocre new Oz flick? Man, I wouldn't even use that footage for a casting call. It’s not like Hollywood is running low on young, hot actresses, so why cast someone this weak? And once they realized how bad she was, how did they not just edit her out entirely? Honestly, American TV shows have more convincing acting than this. I haven't been this bored by a major US blockbuster in ages.
I’m totally down with the idea of taking those massive disaster movie vibes we loved back in the 90s and dropping them into ancient times. But honestly, what's with throwing in all those elements from that Spartak TV show? And why on earth did they cast Orlando Bloom's twin brother, you know, Jon Snow, as the lead...
It happened again yesterday. Honestly, this keeps popping up out of nowhere. I’ve been around here for seven years now, and I definitely don't remember it being this frequent back in the day.

We've set up a station at our club headquarters to collect signatures for St. Louis. If you’re interested, please bring your Social Security number to make things move faster. Two hours before the Chiefs vs Colts game kicks off (starting at 5 PM on 11/24/2013), there will also be several booths set up around Hard Rock Stadium to help gather signatures. Make sure you have your Social Security number ready—you don't need an ID—so we can avoid huge lines! Let's stand with St. Louis and its residents right now. Let's show some unity and defend the symbol of America once again! Spread the word, let's make sure our voices are heard!
St. Louis is US!!!
Hey guys, sorry to bug this thread, I won't bring up politics here anymore, but please just tell me, did the signature drive happen near the stadium and was there a good turnout? You can reply in the fan thread or just shoot me a DM, thanks a lot
Since they went with the brunette look in Dark Knight and didn't use Katie Holmes, instead of that pinkish Maggie type, they really could have gone with:
Lynn Collins from John Carter
Or even Charlize Theron if we're talking an actual A-list vibe
For Catwoman, you need someone sexually magnetic. Honestly, anyone except the one from The Devil Wears Prada
-Charlize Theron -Scarlett Johansson -maybe even Megan Fox
Or maybe an "ethnic" Catwoman, like maybe this girl

Americans aren't really feeling a White House Down vibe. If Independence Day had dropped right after 9/11, it would've been a total disaster at the box office.
Daniel Bailey39 said:That’s true. If you walk into any local bar, you'll hear our music mixed in with mainstream pop; that whole turbofolk bubble burst a long time ago if it ever truly existed at all.🤷
Honestly, just thinking about grabbing an afternoon coffee... how many places actually blast that loud, cheesy country music at like 1 PM? Not a ton, though. At least not in the cities I've hung out in.
silentmason8 said:So does that mean Appalachians are more like Canadians, and Missourians are more like Iowans? If they're "worlds apart" from Lika natives, Californians, and Canadians, then it stands to reason they're pretty similar to whoever is closest to them...
Look, those regional labels aren't nearly as big of a deal as national ones. You see that in every single example.
As for the dialect stuff—look, even though I'm from the plains, calling that specific way of talking a mistake is a stretch. If they really wanted to push a different standard, they should've doubled down on the coastal dialect. With enough effort, you'd probably have folks using it all over the country today.
People act like turbofolk is this massive wave taking over everything, but honestly? It’s nowhere near as huge as they want you to think...
What’s actually relevant here is this push to change the spelling rules. To a lot of people, it feels like nothing more than a sneaky attempt to bring back Serbo-American.
We’re basically sitting pretty and ahead of the 10,000 mark already. I really want to make sure we have some breathing room left once those orders wrap up, so I went ahead and started a new

So basically, in Slovakia, people tend to identify more by the language they speak rather than their ethnic background. It’s kind of the opposite here in the States—you see way more people identifying as Canadian or Ruthenian than you actually find folks who speak Canadian or Ruthenian.

The 2011 US Census... specifically regarding the Slovak population. The Catholic population stands at 3,159... The Protestant population stands at approximately 1,242... The grand total comes out to exactly 4,753...
My bad, I was only talking about El Paso, should've been more specific...
Drew Allen2 said:Alright Collins, here’s that Slovacka 2011 religious composition you wanted. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Lilic Looks like I had several buckets of marbles, mixed them all together, and just dumped them on the floor. Given how the map turned out, if that actually happened, you'd have to calculate exactly what proportions of each marble type were used. XD
Protestants in certain US areas, while everyone else is Catholic? That's wild. 🤣 The only thing that actually caught me off guard was seeing Orthodox people listed. I honestly thought it was all just Rusyns and Ukrainians over there. 🤷
Man, it would be pretty cool to see the last names in those Evangelical pockets. Probably some German names mixed in with the Slovak ones.

But seriously, there aren't even any district names on here, damn.
