Just upload it somewhere online and drop the link right here. You've got plenty of different sites you can use to host an image if you need more space.

Bradley Morgan3 said:I honestly don't get why everyone feels entitled to see everything. The whole point of deleting posts is to ensure that not every single thing is out there for everyone to see.

Look, deleted posts aren't just floating around in the ether; they're only visible to the site admins. And even then, it's strictly for handling potential appeals so they can actually look back and see what triggered the removal.

Personally, I really wouldn't be filing an appeal if my post was just hidden from view instead of being totally wiped out, and I don't know anyone else who would either! If we consider that we'd end up with fewer deletions and more "hidden" posts, the total number of appeals would probably stay pretty much the same—plus, it would save us all the headache I just mentioned.

But listen, just because *you* wouldn't complain doesn't mean someone else won't. People post on forums specifically because they want to be seen and read by anyone who drops by the site.

There’s actually a lot of interesting and useful info tucked away in those deleted posts. It happens all the time where entire discussions branch off from them, leaving people who didn't see the original content completely lost as to what's even happening.

The bottom line is that stuff gets removed when it breaks the rules or when moderators decide it's better to pull it to stop a thread from spiraling. For example, if someone throws an insult at another user, that person is going to jump in to snap back, and suddenly you've got two people getting warnings. If a moderator had just stepped in and deleted the initial insult, only one person would have been flagged. 😁 As for the fact that someone might have included something smart or insightful in that same post? Well, they should have thought about that before they hit send.

Bradley Morgan3 said:Instead of the moderators (always) just deleting posts, they should probably just mark them as hidden—not totally gone, mind you, but just invisible to anyone who isn't actually participating in that specific discussion thread.

Honestly, I just don't see the point here. If you have access to the forum, you should be able to see the entire discussion and decide for yourself if you want to jump in, regardless of whether you've been active in that thread before.

First off, people wouldn't complain about the mods nearly as much, which would reduce that sense of unfairness, while giving the moderators way more breathing room to do their jobs.

I'm really not sure what there'd be less to complain about, though... because at the end of the day, someone is either going to think a moderator made the right call or they aren't, and that's where the grievance comes from. In fact, if a moderator started marking text as "hidden" when other users actually wanted to see it—or vice versa—people would probably just find even more things to whine about!

Secondly, discussions would feel much more spontaneous and free-flowing. Plus, nobody could ever accuse this site of hosting inappropriate content since it would effectively be private and tucked away from the general public eye.

Look, if content is truly inappropriate, it shouldn't be on an American forum in the first place.

Thirdly, it would prevent those situations where people jumping into a thread feel totally out of the loop because they missed everything that happened while they were away (which, by the way, can be incredibly frustrating).

But it's not just about missing the stuff that shouldn't have happened; they'd also miss out on all the genuinely useful information being shared.

Fourthly, this system would actually encourage lurkers to start participating since they'd get a peek at the hidden content.

Oh, maybe they'd join in once they saw something interesting was hidden, but how am I supposed to know there's a fascinating debate happening that I'd love to join if I can't even see it? 🙂 Just having some vague hint somewhere that someone might be mentioning something I care about isn't nearly as motivating as actually being able to read the thread and follow along in real-time.

I honestly don't see the point, or even any real necessity, in having parts of a discussion restricted only to the people actually participating in it. 🙂

Honestly, I feel like anything the people in this debate can see should be just as visible to everyone else reading along too.

Wait, are you actually banned on your old profile? If so, could you drop a link to it?

The thread is officially live! Huge congrats to everyone involved, and I'm wishing you all the absolute best of luck with this one. 🙂

There was honestly a massive debate about whether or not to lift his ban, but it wasn't just about the fact that he kept making endless clones; it was also about how he actually behaved once he got back under those new accounts. As far as I can tell, he just keeps creating new profiles over and over again, which is a pretty huge red flag that he has absolutely no intention of changing his ways. That’s just the conclusion I landed on after spending quite a bit of time deliberating over the whole situation.

Malavér said:That’s just your modus operandi, so there's really no need to give me a heads-up—it's obvious that's how you guys operate. I'm speaking up because I honestly don't like it; frankly, it feels pretty pointless to me.
Look, you can be as rigid as you want, but I'm just not a fan of things being handled this way.

So, you're unhappy because I won't let people flood the subreddits with an endless stream of identical threads? Look, I'm sorry you don't see why that would be a disaster, but the feed would get so cluttered that actually finding useful answers would become impossible.

It's not about being "rigid" for the sake of it; I just want to keep this community organized and productive. If you have a better idea on how to manage this, feel free to drop a suggestion over at the Moderation thread.

By the way, just a heads-up: any future posts on this thread that don't offer actual substance or specific follow-ups from the original author will be moved to that thread I mentioned. And if the flow of conversation requires it, I might go back and move some older ones too.
You can't actually delete Temu on your own, unfortunately, but if you're looking for some guidance on how to handle things like adding icons or setting up links, you can find all the instructions right here. 🙂

I can't give you the exact reason why FictionSmith got hit, mostly because I wasn't the one who issued the ban and I don't know all the gritty details of the case. But from what I gather, it isn't just about how many clone accounts were created—you can't just point to a number and call it a day. It’s more about how those clones were actually being used and the overall way he was behaving. Honestly, it seems like it's been explained to him several times now why his ban isn't being lifted. If anyone wants the full story, the moderators whose PDFs he earned those bans on can weigh in, or you could just head over to his thread on the community forum and see for yourself.

I honestly don't know where to start with this one, but I feel like we really need to sit down and have a real conversation about what's happening lately. It feels like everything is shifting so fast, doesn't it? I was just sitting here thinking about how much things have changed, and I couldn't help but react to some of the stuff being said in the other threads. You know how it is—one minute you think you've got a handle on things, and the next, everything feels completely upside down. I was reading what Taylor Gonzalez79 mentioned earlier, and man, they really hit the nail on the head regarding the chaos. It’s like we’re all just trying to find our footing while the ground keeps moving under us. And then you see someone like Steven Reed jumping in with those intense takes, and suddenly the whole vibe of the discussion shifts from casual to high-stakes in a heartbeat! It can be a lot to process, especially when you're just looking for some common sense in the middle of all this noise. I’m not trying to preach or anything—I just want to offer a little perspective because it feels like we're losing that sense of community we used to have. We should be able to talk about these things without feeling like we're walking on eggshells, right? I miss those days when we could just hang out, share some thoughts, and not worry about every single word being dissected by a critic. Anyway, I'm curious to hear what you all think. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like we're all just collectively holding our breath right now? Let's talk it out. kaže:
Shouldn't that same rule—you know, the one in bold—apply to those who have been permabanned too?
So, wait—are we actually being denied an explanation here? Is that really how this is going to go down?

I mean, yeah, absolutely. Honestly, everyone who’s been banned should at least get a clear explanation as to why it happened. It just feels right, you know?

So, I’ve been seeing people ask lately why we can't just have an open, free-for-all discussion about people abusing their status on this forum, and honestly, I feel like I should clear the air on this because there seems to be some confusion about how we operate here. Look, I totally get the frustration—it feels like if someone is acting entitled or pulling rank, we should all be able to call them out and vent about it without feeling like we're walking on eggshells. But there's a reason we don't turn this place into a constant grievance session regarding power trips. The thing is, once you start making "status abuse" the main topic of conversation, the whole vibe of the community shifts from being a place for actual discussion to becoming a toxic courtroom where everyone is playing judge and jury. It becomes less about the topics we actually care about and more about pointing fingers at specific users or moderators. If we opened the floodgates to debating whether someone is "using their influence" too much, we'd spend half our time arguing about personalities instead of ideas, and frankly, that’s a recipe for a massive headache that nobody wants to deal with. I know some of you might feel like certain people are getting special treatment, and trust me, I hear you. But rather than turning the forum into a battlefield over perceived hierarchies, we try to keep things focused on the content. We want this to stay a space where you can hang out, share your thoughts, and enjoy the community without having to navigate a minefield of accusations every time you log on. It’s not about protecting anyone's ego; it's about preserving the actual purpose of the site so it doesn't devolve into a mess of drama and infighting. Let's just keep things civil and focus on the real stuff, okay?
Wait, so when it comes to moderators or admins, does the system just wipe their registration data the very second they get deleted?

I really don't think posts should be getting wiped just because someone decides to call out how the admins are running things. Honestly, if anything is being deleted, it’s probably not the actual criticism itself, but rather the way people are choosing to deliver it.
Once this ad wraps up, the next one will probably roll right in. Honestly, I feel like the real fix is coming up with ads that don't constantly interrupt our flow here on Reddit or make the whole site look cluttered and messy. 🙂
Xavier, if they actually go through with introducing that, I’m holding you personally responsible and I'll be banning you myself.
