Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Andrej Plenković is looking seriously on edge lately.
Why's that?
lonetrucker4, you aren't doing your job.
Period.

VFA-125 has basically gutted this subforum thanks to your "help," which consists entirely of sitting on your hands while they wreck everything.

Look, I’m not even going to get into the insults they throw around in every single post—the kind of stuff you’d normally ban an Airbag for for weeks on end. Instead, I want to talk about what looks like a blatant loophole being exploited regarding the forum rules on "thread hijacking."

To give you some context, VFA-125 is responsible for practically half the posts on the PDF, scattered across every single thread.
That’s because every single post made by anyone else gets a direct reply from them.
It’s classic hijacking.

And let's not forget how they do it: they quote every single sentence of the original post just to argue against it, point by point.

They do this endlessly, and lonetrucker4 just lets it happen, allowing them to completely derail any discussion.

Here’s one example of what I’m talking about—and there are hundreds just like it:

The craziest part is that you can see ten of these posts in a row without a single moderator stepping in.

lonetrucker4, you're letting this slide, but it's a total takeover that ruins every topic on the PDF because, frankly, nobody has the patience to read through this nonsense.

I’m calling on the admin team to clarify: is it actually okay for one user to dominate half the posts on a PDF when half those posts are pure vitriol and the other half are just obsessive, line-by-line hijacking of anyone they disagree with? It’s exhausting and relentless.

The mods here love giving us that classic "oh, we just haven't gotten around to looking at it yet" or "you didn't click the report button hard enough" routine...
Well, newsflash: I’ve smashed that report button three times now. It’s been a full 24 hours since the initial flag, and the mods are still happily letting people toss insults around in the thread without lifting a finger..

Maybe the admins are playing by a different rulebook? Do they even have one?
Or did the site policy undergo some massive overhaul where being a total jerk is suddenly encouraged by the liberal-progressive crowd?
Or maybe under these new guidelines, we "old-school conservatives" are also allowed to be toxic too?
Just trying to figure out how to navigate this mess moving forward.. thanks..

Hands down, this is easily the most dysfunctional government in all of Europe.
It’s just living proof that if you give the leftists, the anti-fascists, and the feminists an inch, they’ll take a mile and burn everything else to the ground in the process.
Yeah, everything is basically four times smaller.
People are out here editing 4K content on monitors that aren't even native 4K, so honestly, I don't see why me grabbing an ultrawide that isn't 4K would be such a massive deal. It’s not like I’m running a professional broadcast studio or anything.
For example, this Dell IPS 29" is sitting right around $667, which fits my budget perfectly.
The 34-inch option is about $500 more expensive.

https://www.google.com/shopping/product/monitor...
Sweet, sounds like we're good to go then. Thanks!👍

What’s your take on this monitor? It looks pretty decent to me—28 inches, HDMI 2.0, and while the design is a bit dated, I’m totally fine with that.

That would put me at roughly $333 over budget, which honestly isn't a dealbreaker for me.
Ryan Hayes82 said:That’s just pocket change. A decent 4K monitor alone is going to run you north of $1000, plus 32GB of RAM is sitting at 3000, so where's the rest of the budget coming from?...

So we're looking at a total bust then?

Alright fine, if you're gonna be like that, just ditch the monitor. I'll just grind away editing on my ancient piece of junk 😁

Hey there.

I’m looking to get some solid advice on building or buying a rig specifically for 4K video and photo editing.
A minimum of 32GB RAM is non-negotiable here.
I'm trying to keep the total budget under $3333, and that needs to include a decent 4K monitor.
If you could help me out, that would be awesome.😁
History & Politics: Fascism in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Oh, yeah, just to add my two cents—this whole thing is nothing but pure trolling by that lonebadger6 moderator. They came flying in out of nowhere with this whole rant about gender reassignment, even though NOBODY had mentioned anything about that up to that point, and the topic of conversation wasn't even remotely about gender reassignment.

What we were actually hashing out was the push for gender ideology—or rather, how to stop it from being forced on us.
We were talking about Zeljka’s initiative regarding how they want to blur the lines between gender and sex, trying to sneak them in as two different things under the Geneva Convention.

So, basically, the moderator is just trolling by labeling anyone who opposes gender ideology as narrow-minded, primitive fascists, despite the fact that nobody was even talking about gender reassignment. And they're doing it with full-blown encouragement from certain forum members who are posting about gender ideology without any consequences, implying that those of us standing against it want to "poison, hang, or burn" someone.

Is this really considered acceptable on this forum?

I honestly find it mind-blowing that people who actively stir up conflict and insult their fellow users are even allowed to hold moderator positions here.
History & Politics: Fascism in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’ve been hit with some absolutely insane hate speech from a foaming-at-the-mouth moderator, lonebadger6, who seems to be working in tandem with a few other mods and certain users, so I’m opening this thread to see if the site administration actually has the guts to deal with their own staff. We're talking about more than just insults; we're looking at blatant disrespect toward anyone with a differing opinion and a total hijacking of what the word "fascism" even means.

Basically, the moderator lonebadger6 decided to label everyone who opposes gender reassignment
as backward, primitive fascists.
His logic? He explained it like this: "I used those words on purpose,
because backward, primitive fascists usually whine that they're being called that
"just because they have a different opinion"—no, you're being called that because you
have backward, primitive fascist opinions."

And get this—every single one of us who called out this ridiculous outburst from a moderator
got slapped with instant bans.

After all that, a user named "north wind" posted this:
"Yeah, persecuting people and stripping them of their human rights based on physical,
genetic, sexual orientation, psychological, or mental traits, as well as
different beliefs and value systems—that is fascism."

I won't even dive into the endless trolling from northwind, which would probably cost me a hundred points here:
"What Smith and his crowd actually want to do to these people is: lock them up in prisons or put them
"in quarantine" (as if they're dealing with a contagion) or try to "brainwash" them
via psychiatry (if that were even possible!?) or restrict their movement or
forbid them from having sex with whoever they want or throw them into camps or
poison them or hang them or burn them."

Unchecked, the moderation team is actively backing these kinds of primitive outbursts.
It's rock bottom.

But let’s actually look at what fascism is, using some actual resources
from the internet:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascism
Here is how one of the most respected dictionaries defines it:
political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti)
that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for
a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader,
severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Moving on:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism
Fascism /ˈfæʃɪzəm/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism that came
to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.

I’m not going to paste the whole thing, but it’s blindingly obvious that fascism is a political philosophy
centered on the glorification of nation and race, and there isn't a single shred of connection between fascism and having a different opinion on gender reassignment.

It is crystal clear that fascism has NOTHING to do with the fact that I don't agree
with people doing whatever they want, it has nothing to do with gender reassignment,
and it has absolutely nothing to do with my views on anyone's sexual orientation.

There is zero connection between fascism and any of the things I just mentioned.
Not one.

The only person acting like a fascist here is the moderator lonebadger6, which is exactly what
Merriam-Webster defines as "dictatorial oppression of all who disagree with the dictator."

That is precisely what he is doing.

Since these posts haven't been sanctioned or removed by the site, it's a dead giveaway
that the administration agrees with the definition of fascism provided by
lonebadger6 and north wind.

Given that your definition is in total conflict with every single definition
of fascism found anywhere else in the world,
I’m asking you to open the website Forumpedia where you will find...
Start sharing those definitions and all that good stuff with us forum folks and anyone else interested.

Because if you think insulting, labeling, and tossing around the word "fascist"
at anyone who dares to hold a different opinion is perfectly fine, then that says everything we need to know about this forum.
In this specific instance, having a different take is totally legitimate. We aren't talking about Holocaust denial or debating whether people should kill dogs for fun; we're talking about some supposed "human right" that nobody actually has any claim to here.

I’m calling on the admin team to weigh in here without any of that wishy-washy nonsense like "we didn't
know," "you should have clicked the little button," or "you can't just start threads like that." None of that.

If a moderator is allowed to get personal and insult people just because they disagree
then I’ll take that as my green light to call him a backward, primitive fascist whenever I don't see eye-to-eye with him, and I expect zero penalties for doing so.

If I’m a fascist in his eyes simply because I’m against this, then he’s a fascist in mine because he’s for it.

Thanks.

I could really use some advice on something here. I’m working as an independent contractor and I want to bill a company over in Canada for my services. What’s the absolute cheapest and least headache-inducing way to handle this for both me and the business in Canada?
Also, is this even doable?
We’re talking about a net amount of $10,000—meaning I want that full amount to hit my US bank account after all the taxes and fees back home are settled.
Roughly how much would that end up costing the company in Canada, and what kind of hit would I take personally?
Thanks!
This is heartbreaking... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Thanks.
I didn't flag the post right away because I was waiting to see if the mods would step in. When nothing happened, I finally hit the report button two days later.
Look, my goal isn't to get anyone banned—it’s not about being the fun police. It’s just that the way things are being moderated lately makes me feel like I'm under a microscope. Every little thing I do gets flagged or addressed instantly, even the harmless stuff, while other people can drop straight-up insults and go five days without a single peep from leadership unless I personally make a stink about it.
Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest.
Best,

I honestly don't get what's so confusing about insulting people on this forum.
It’s the exact same deal whether you're on the main board or a subforum.

We’re talking about how an offensive post gets reported and then just sits there for five days without anyone lifting a finger, yet the second I breathe wrong, I'm getting hit with a warning for some trivial nonsense...
This is heartbreaking... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’ll get flagged within an hour for a post that doesn't even have a hint of trolling, yet some guy can drop a pure, unadulterated personal attack on another user five days ago, and it’s still sitting there like nothing happened.

What kind of moderation team are we even dealing with here?
Seriously, what is this?
Why was the Hasanbegović thread locked? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’m right there with you guys—this whole situation is baffling. Honestly, we need to get this thread officially opened up so we can actually talk about it. 👍
Topic suggestion: Z. Hasanbegović in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I don't want to clutter up the boards by starting yet another thread, so I’ll just drop this question here: why is this whole discussion about Hasanbegović being shut down instead of just being nuked entirely? Honestly, we should be flagging and deleting every single post that wanders off-topic, just to completely kill the momentum for those self-proclaimed "historians" and the die-hard fans of Mirko and Slavko...

The thing is, I actually have some pretty juicy stuff to share regarding Zlatko Hasanbegović, but I'm running out of places to put it...

He definitely didn't block me—we’re actually on good terms. I haven't even put him on ignore; we're constantly quoting each other's posts...
But honestly, what Dorian is saying could totally be the case.👍

I’m honestly not sure if I’ve stumbled onto some weird glitch or if there’s some kind of restriction in place, but I’m trying to shoot a PM to one of the guys on here and I'm hitting a wall. The "send message" option just isn't showing up when I click on his username.
It’s super weird because whenever I go to check out other members' profiles, that option is right there like it should be. No issues at all.
If anyone has any clue what might be causing this...
Thanks
