Bruce Almighty in Movies ·

I’d put a movie like this right up there with
something like Air Bud, though honestly, Air Bud is probably the superior flick. It’s got those New Age vibes, the plot is packed with twists you won't see coming, it lifts your spirits,
and I'm pretty sure it actually improves your digestion and respiratory health.
Ryan Ruiz, just go borrow Air Bud. It’ll have you overthinking things for months.

Air Bud. Yeah, I'm with you on that one. Hey stormyowl6, you should try something a little more experimental, like Master of Disguise. That movie seriously changed my life and totally shifted my perspective on things.

...so that's just how it goes, I guess. It’s not a bad flick, and there are a few laughs here and there, but honestly, Jim Carrey has definitely delivered much funnier stuff in the past.

This "👋" guy is something else, honestly; he’s got this vibe like a mobster wearing rubber gloves right after pulling off a heist. Plus, he won't even look you in the eye when he smiles. Total sociopath, if you ask me. 😁 (+that)

Just go drink & The Pendulum. It's a great film.
50 Cent in Music ·
I can get behind KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, DMX, and the Wu-Tang Clan, and honestly, Cypress Hill isn't half bad either.
50 Cent is nothing but pure commercial fluff, and Nelly is just an embarrassment—a massive step backward for the culture, especially since he’s barely even a rapper. As for Eminem, he's just another sellout.

I don't really dive into rap that much myself, though most of my friends are obsessed with it. 😁
I was pretty caught off guard by this one when I first sat down to watch it.
The whole dark sci-fi vibe is spot on and the concept actually holds water, too. Honestly, I’ve still got a copy of it sitting on my shelf at home.
Create your own mutant! (X-Men inspired) in Movies ·
His name would’ve been Rappaport. He’d be rocking this bizarre beak-like head, massive rabbit paws with claws about six inches long, and he’d stand at a ridiculous 9'7". As for abilities, he could basically control his own breathing, toss out a standard fireball, and mess around with a few magic spells—but his real killer move is his death stare, which is actually just so incredibly hideous that people literally die laughing. This whole mutant thing was just a freak accident; some hunter out in the Everglades tripped over a trap and spilled straight into a pool of toxic chemicals. After that, he spent years living off rabbit milk, which explains why his habits are so damn weird.
What does our music taste say about us? in Music ·
It all really comes down to how much that person actually gives a damn about music. If they’re obsessed, then yeah, it’s a decent data point, but it’s hardly a complete map of their psyche (well, maybe for me).

...guess I could probably pull a living as a shrink 😁
Honestly, if you just happen to know all the little secrets behind opening a beer without using an opener, you’ve basically earned your status as a total snob.
urbanhawk15, quit messing around, who else is gonna hold the mic?
The Man Who Wasn't There in Movies ·
I haven't even touched a color DVD!
The Man Who Wasn't There in Movies ·
The Man Who Wasn't There—yeah, the vibe was spot on and B. B. T. delivered a solid performance, which honestly reminds me a bit of Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca😁. It was definitely worth the watch.
But for me, O Brother, Where Art Thou? is the one that really sticks
.
I found myself constantly humming along to the Soggy Bottom Boys...
Both movies are 👍
Anyone seen Monster's Ball (2001)? in Movies ·
Why are you guys hating on GM so much?
If you haven't actually read the book, just keep it to yourself.

😁

...if only they’d do a remake of Lingerie.
True enough. At this rate, I’ll probably end up checked into a psych ward before the week is out. Heh. 😁
I basically just use movies as my own personal therapy sessions.
Almost every decent movie I watch leaves me feeling like I've leveled up a few stages of evolution, though sometimes they just drag me down a notch 😁 instead.
They started playing that Punjabi MC track around here too. At first, we were just messing around, vibing to it like we were at some random backyard reggae jam. Now, they’ve moved on to playing those tinny, grating sounds that sound like some old lady blasting static from a cheap transistor radio. haha😁

p.s. I don't really do techno or anything like that.

Solid idea for a thread, ironcanyon4. Though honestly, I'm only a year older than you, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Most of what I listened to back then is pretty much what's on my playlist now, but if I had to pick a favorite band...
