If you're looking for something decent that won't break the bank but actually holds up, just grab some skater shoes... I mean, you can find Vans for like half what those damn Chucks cost... If you want top-tier quality and don't mind paying a bit extra, go with Adidas...
👍 That's pretty much where my head's at too. 😁 Back in the day (haha), I used to just grab the cheapest sneakers I could find, mostly because I knew they wouldn't last a week riding a BMX with no brakes. 😁
I think the Green Album is top-tier. Haven't really dug into Maladroit yet, and honestly, I’m kind of hesitant to drop money on this new stuff. They really shouldn't have messed with the formula.
Glad the IMF crew is on board, honestly, those guys earned all the praise they're getting. They didn't walk away with gold, though they definitely deserved it (as a payoff for all that grind 😁). Just being completely wiped out was their biggest hurdle in the championship game. If they’d had even just one day to recover...

If anyone actually digs this, I might keep it going.
EDIT: Just remembered another one, Run like Hell, Pink Floyd Might be a total cliché for some people, but it hits the spot.
Man, you guys are just now discovering USA. 😁 I knew this was gonna be a massive hit from day one. Before "We're All living in Amerika," I caught the video for "Mein Teil," and honestly, even I was clenching my teeth watching it. Rammstein is just built different.
The movie is just a bunch of clichés, basically a digital Pearl Harbor. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack—it’s a total miss. Dropping "Yellow Submarine" by Radiohead into a flick like this at the wrong damn moment is just absurd. Just look at how they handled "Pulp Fiction"; it was spot on—fire>"Yellow Submarine", a fight>"Yellow Submarine". 🙂
For me, Frizzle Fry is the absolute heavy hitter. I'm gonna go poke around Les's page; looks like a new record might actually see the light of day soon (by which I mean the Les Claypool + Buckethead + Brain + Bernie project).
Down here in the swampy VG, we’re all pretty much anti-Bush. We spend our time picking up books from Moore, rocking tees that say "My Mother went to New York", watching nothing but local indie flicks, and blasting guzva in the dorms...
Anyway, I won't make too much noise, don't want to wake the kid up. 😁
William Chavez74 said:Calling it 'Grunge' is just a desperate attempt to squeeze an entire musical movement into some tight little box—yeah, I think I nailed it there. 😁 Arguments over which band is more or less 'grunge' are totally pointless because there isn't one single group out there that actually embodies the whole damn genre.
Exactly! Though maybe you shouldn't have said it out loud. 😁

Hahahrgh! 😬
Anyway, I remember watching this solid documentary about Grunge back on SLO2, where Geezer Osbourne had plenty to say about how much the Melvins actually contributed to the whole scene. 🙂 The reality is, what we used to call Grunge doesn't really fit the label anymore because someone will always jump in with a counter-argument. So, what even is Grunge?
George Cruz65 said:A dome? Sounds more like some Damned Planet scenario. 🤔 Like one of those sci-fi flicks where Sean Connery plays a sheriff out in some mining colony on Jupiter's moon.
I remember wanting to film that movie myself (not that I actually know the specifics of the plot), but the timestamp on the video was totally off. So yeah, I'm also dying to know what the actual title is! Gonna hit up Google and see if I can dig something up. 🙂
Still haven't picked up the new record (how does that sound without Lance?). It’s about damn time. I mean, I love spinning their stuff, especially during my morning routine.
