Lisa Wells65 said:Hey Lave, when it comes to those eggs, just get them in the pan and cook 'em up! Alright, let's talk frittatas! Honestly, if you haven't mastered the art of the frittata yet, what are you even doing with your life? Haha! I used to be so intimidated by them—I always thought they were this fancy, high-maintenance brunch thing you only get at those overpriced cafes in Manhattan. But turns out, they are actually one of the easiest, most chill things you can whip up in your kitchen when you're feeling lazy but still want to eat like a king. The best part is that there are zero rules. It’s basically just a glorified omelet that you finish under the broiler instead of flipping it like a pro chef. You can throw literally anything in there. I’m talking leftover roasted veggies, some crumbled bacon, maybe a handful of sharp cheddar from Kroger, or even some diced peppers. If you have some Lawry's lying around, a little sprinkle makes everything taste ten times better. I recently tried making one with some sautéed eggplant and feta, and oh my god, it was a total game-changer. Seriously, if you're looking for a way to clear out your fridge before your next big grocery run at Walmart, this is your sign. Just grab a heavy skillet, whisk some eggs, toss in your goodies, and let the oven do all the hard work while you sit back and relax. Trust me, your breakfast game will never be the same!.🤷 So, you just whip up some eggs, toss in whatever veggies you've got lying around—honestly, just throw in anything that catches your eye—and slide the whole thing into the oven to bake. I’m pretty sure I’ve already rambled on about this exact recipe here before, if my memory serves me right!😁

Wait, what even is this? I just had to jump on Google to figure it out myself. It's eggs, obviously—I'm currently crushing a high-protein, high-fat meal (P+M style)!

So, I finally did it—I actually made that "ice cream" thing! 😁

So, I decided to whip up a little something in the kitchen! I grabbed a bowl and tossed in about a pound of lean meat, half a scoop of whey protein, a splash of vanilla extract, 4 servings of Natren, some water (maybe around a third of a cup), and a tiny bit of milk. Then, I just blended the whole thing together until it was smooth!
It’s sitting right there in the fridge, just waiting for me to tackle it tomorrow! 😬

placidranger said:Oh, wait! I totally forgot to mention—there’s also a version with a 20% cut! 🙂 😁
Honestly, even at 200g, there’s barely any difference compared to the fat-free version. The fat content is basically a wash—up or down a tiny bit, whatever. Plus, I’m currently on a bulk, so I’m really not sweating the fat macros too much right now!

Honestly, I don't know how anyone survives without bread. Like, seriously, I am totally lost without it! It’s basically a lifestyle at this point. 🤷

You should totally give it a shot with some deli meat! I’m talking turkey, chicken, or even some smoky deli salami—it'll make such a huge difference.

granitegardener14 said:So, what's the deal with that fresh, homemade cheese when it comes to the fat and protein content? Is it actually worth the effort?

From what I can gather, that guy's diet is basically just a massive pile of fats!

Honestly, having an attitude like that is just going to hold you back in life.

So, I was just falling down a rabbit hole reading this deep dive on how to actually build some decent muscle, and honestly? It’s kind of a game-changer if you’ve been spinning your wheels at the gym without seeing any results. We all want that physique, right? But let me tell you, it isn't just about hitting the bench press until you can't move your arms. There is actual science behind it! The big takeaway for me was the whole caloric surplus thing. If you aren't eating more than you burn, your body basically looks at those heavy lifting sessions and goes, "Cool story, bro, but I don't have the extra fuel to build anything new." You've gotta give your body the building blocks—protein, sure, but also carbs and fats—to actually turn that effort into mass. It's like trying to build a house during a shortage; you just can't get the walls up without the supplies! Also, we really need to talk about progressive overload. This sounds super intimidating and technical, but it's basically just the art of not being lazy. You can't just lift the same ten-pound dumbbells for six months and expect to look like an action star. You have to keep pushing—more weight, more reps, or less rest. It’s uncomfortable, yeah, and I usually end up feeling like a total noodle after a good session, but that’s where the magic happens. And please, for the love of everything, don't skip recovery! I used to think I was being a total beast by pulling all-nighters and then hitting the gym at 5 AM, but I was actually just sabotaging myself. Muscle doesn't grow while you're grinding through a set; it grows while you're sleeping and chilling. Anyway, I'm definitely going to try being a bit more intentional with my meal prep this week. Wish me luck—I'll probably be eating my weight in chicken breast by Friday!

Give me the full breakdown of what you’re eating during the day!
I mean, I want to know every little snack and exactly when you're munching on them.

About that tuna in olive oil... honestly, if I were you, I'd just grab the stuff packed in brine. Once you drain all that liquid out, then hit it with your own high-quality olive oil. It's way better that way.

Also, definitely pick up some vitamins and minerals, but do yourself a favor and get them as individual supplements rather than those fizzy, effervescent ones—they aren't quite as good.
Then, make sure you're getting plenty of Vitamin C and some Omega-3s.
Oh, and start sipping on some green tea!

All those types of sweeteners have some pretty sketchy rumors floating around about being carcinogenic, so personally, I’d steer clear of stuff like that for now.
I’d much rather just stick to pure, unflavored protein—zero fat, zero cholesterol, zero sugar, and zero sweeteners. Then I can actually sleep at night! Truth be told, it doesn't taste like a gourmet dessert... and man, they aren't exactly cheap either.

Mmm, true. We're all gonna get cancer anyway, right? lol

That already happened once before and it only lasted a couple of days.

Hey, I’m not making fun of you! Who else is gonna teach me how to lift properly? 😁
From what I can see, every single dude ends up with a wrecked lower back (I mean, yeah, they're moving massive weight, but still). Doesn't look too healthy to me.
And those "popping" sounds... man, that gives me the chills every single time.

So good 😁

Come on, man, stop capping... 😁

He might actually be built different though
The guy is insanely strong
But his lifting ratios aren't quite there yet—his squat is definitely his powerhouse compared to everything else
Plus, his deadlift is "a little" light when you look at it next to that squat
But hey, he’s still got plenty of years ahead of him
Even if he's burning himself out, especially doing squats twice a day like that every single day...

Am I lying?
Seriously, you can barely even fit into a car with legs like those 😁

Mmm, true. And every time he hits a squat, you can hear this weird "click."
Is that just the plates rattling or his knees popping? 🤔

We're talking massive weights here; I was honestly just thinking his knees might give out on him.
Sure, solid technique and a killer diet work wonders, but there's a limit to what the human body can take, and seeing someone this young moving that much weight...
It could totally wreck him, don't you think?

Some people just roll with it that way—for me, personally, I don't even feel the load on my back; it’s all in my hamstrings.

Man, you pulled that weight like a beast! You've got enough strength to... well, like Mikey would say...
You're pulling way too much with your back, though—you could seriously wreck yourself doing that, even if it feels more natural for some folks to pull with their back rather than their legs.
Have you tried squatting deeper and really driving through your legs?
It looks like you're technically squatting, but right before you start moving up, you straighten your legs and shift the load onto your lower back.
Look, you clearly have a powerhouse of a back, but it might be a smarter move to try and engage those hamstrings more.

As for the weight you're moving... Absolutely killer.
Your pull-ups are looking solid too! 👍

Out of everyone here, Iced is definitely the pro to listen to. I've actually seen this absolute animal lift in person, so he can give you the best advice because the guy truly knows his stuff.
His legs are basically two massive logs.

Michael Rivera63 said:Of everyone there, he's the most impressive to you? 😁

Check out "little" Pat Mednes—this kid is only 19 and he's hitting a 770 lb ATG squat without a belt or a spotter! 😲

Oh man, this Pat guy is a total freak of nature; I saw him lifting just a few days ago.
It's just fascinating watching him—he's relatively lean, yet he overhead presses such massive weight. You've gotta have serious stability to hold that.

Speaking of Pat... the kid is an absolute unit. He makes lifting heavy look effortless, like it’s nothing to him.
Seriously though, what kind of career do you think is ahead of him? From where I'm sitting, if he keeps this up, he's going to be shattering records.

John Moore51 said:Oh man, honestly, even though the first video didn't quite hit the mark, it was still pretty cool... but hey, no biggie! Next week's video is gonna be even better, I promise. I actually just whipped this whole series together on a whim, just wanted to get some footage down.
The bar is 22 lbs, the plates are about 33 lbs, and if you look closely, there are also those little 5 lb weights on each side.
My elbow has been giving me major grief since I dealt with that bout of tendonitis last summer. It really set my progress back a ton.

What if you tried it like this instead?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KoGvyAElp4
Personally, this way feels way smoother on my elbows, and honestly, it just feels better for the exercise overall.

John Moore51 said:Man, I totally blew it today. I was like, "Alright, let's film a set of 5 reps at 230 lbs and toss it on YouTube." My first attempt at getting those perfect 5 reps at 230 failed because the guy filming me had absolutely no clue how to actually use a smartphone. 🙄
Whatever, no biggie, I told myself I'll just try again... But then my buddy who was spotting me totally messed up the next clip, even though I explicitly told him, "DO NOT TOUCH THE BAR UNLESS MY LIFE IS LITERALLY ON THE LINE!" Seriously, on the fourth rep, he touched the bar even though it was obvious it wasn't stalling. Oh well, anyway, here's the glorious video.
Next time I'm hitting 5x235 lbs, and this Monday I'm dropping a video of 5x330 lbs deadlifts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKEQrEy8WIs

So, is this one 35 lb plate and a 45 lb bar (90+15)?
Killer numbers once again!
I noticed your body positioning leans a bit more toward a powerlifting style. That works better for me too, though I tend to drive my legs back even further under me and use a slightly narrower grip so my elbows stay tucked closer to my sides.
The wide grip always gives my elbows a bit of trouble.
But hey, it works for me since I didn't really focus on benching much in the past.

That weight is seriously impressive though 👍

Yeah, your spotter definitely threw you a curveball there 😁

John Moore51 said:Just doing some recreational lifting in a small town near St. Louis😁.
As far as I know, this is the only training I do out here.
I weigh about 172 lbs.
Close-grip bench: 350 lbs
Olympic bench: 250 lbs
Front press: 240 lbs
Deadlift: 400 lbs
Bench press: 250 lbs
Clean & jerk: 200+ (don't have a lifting platform at my gym so I can't really drop the weights; I just drop them onto my quads then the floor, lol)
Bodyweight pull-ups: 47 reps
Dips-bez: No problem doing them with a 75 lb dumbbell (they don't have anything heavier)

Those are seriously killer numbers, especially considering you're only pulling in the 170s!

OT

Man, remember those days when you felt like you couldn't even step foot in the gym?

Look, I’m telling you, the guy might be a total weirdo, but did you see that insane spring he gets on his jumps?
It's unreal.

And yeah, Rocky is an absolute classic, no doubt about it. But honestly, in the last movie, he’s training harder than ever, pushing himself with those massive weights.😁

Hey guys! As far as I know, we don't have a dedicated thread where we can drop training clips, motivational videos, and stuff like that, which I think would be pretty awesome.
There's already one about motivation and what gets you pumped up, but let's make this specific spot for sharing video links.

Basically, feel free to post workout videos (even if it's just you grinding!).
Whether it's squats, deadlifts, bench press...

Or just any random video that keeps you inspired or blows your mind.

Edward King2 said:My mom (who is basically a pro in the kitchen, seriously!) always tells me that the fresher the eggs are, the harder they are to peel. She swears if an egg comes out of its shell super easily, it’s a dead giveaway that it’s getting a little old.

Yeah, totally! You can definitely tell the difference between fresh ones and older ones that way. But honestly, if you let them sit in some cold water for a bit, they peel a little easier and don't tear up as much.
Plus, you can still tell they're fresh because the whites stay nice and soft.

Seriously though, you could end up with salmonella, and if I'm not mistaken, your body isn't even absorbing the protein nearly as well as when you actually cook your eggs.
I stick to cooked.

Jason Campbell70 said:Wait, hold up—doesn't an egg actually have a pretty low amount of protein?

So, if I’m remembering my nutrition facts right—and don't hold me to this because I can be a total airhead sometimes—you're looking at roughly 11 grams of protein per 100 grams. And since a single egg usually weighs in at less than 100 grams, you're actually getting a little bit less than that per egg!
And I'm crushing the whole thing, obviously!

Jason Campbell70 said:By the way, could you dive a little deeper into that? I'd love some more details!
