bluecyclist64 said:How long is the administration going to let this kind of lie-spreading and downplaying of fascist crimes continue?
I think this is probably the hundredth time this same user has pushed a narrative trying to play both sides as equals.
Is this Sturmfront or Reddit?
Looks like the old ghosts of the war have resurfaced here. 🙄 As for the post bluecyclist64 is talking about, it’s clearly just trolling unless there are actual links backing up those claims.
Jose Williams said:It’s not even about the nitpicking. I’m not out here trying to suggest or imply that moderators shouldn't be part of the conversation on equal footing, or that they aren't allowed to weigh in on... thoughts? They’re just terrible, honestly. And look, I’m not exactly out here preaching for some kind of sterile perfection from Zelenskyy, so I won't pretend that wouldn't be a tough sell for me right out of the gate either. 😁.
The real issue here is how Paul Morales handled that report. It wasn't even about what we were actually discussing; she just went off on a tangent and decided to attack my entire reputation as a user instead. That’s the part that bugs me. I didn't start this thread to debate my specific takes—I started it because I wanted to see if the admin team thinks this kind of thing is actually okay. Is it standard procedure to turn a disagreement over a topic into a full-blown judgment on someone's character? Because from where I'm sitting, it feels pretty off.
I don't really see this as some massive deal. If there was a dedicated thread for admin questions, I would've just dropped these queries there instead of starting a whole new topic. It’s not like I’m out for blood or looking to get Paul Morales3 sanctioned or anything. I just wanted to see where everyone stands—is this kind of moderator behavior actually okay, or is it a problem? Specifically, I want to know if it’s going to mess with Paul Morales3's objectivity when it comes to my posts. Basically, I just need an answer to those three questions I asked in my first post.
I honestly don't get what part of that whole situation actually bothered you so much. You know, that one post where Paul Morales went totally white-faced and claimed she could just hit the ignore button on you whenever she felt like it, while you’re stuck being unable to do the same to her. Like, so what? What's the big deal? 🤷 Honestly, I feel like the complaint would carry a bit more weight if you dropped that part, but hey, fair enough. I get why the whole thing rubbed you the wrong way.
I don't want to sound like a broken record here, but Kiss and rustydrifter10 already laid it all out pretty clearly. The real issue isn't even about her tone—though she wasn't exactly typing in "mod colors"—it's the power dynamic. She made it obvious she’s looking down on us from a higher position. It feels like she’s using her moderator privileges as a way to poke at people. Like, she can just hit the ignore button whenever she wants, whereas I'm just a regular guy on this forum with zero extra perks. It’s that little nudge of authority that gets under my skin.
If you're stressing about one moderator potentially playing favorites down the road, don't sweat it too much. We’ve got other moderators on the team who can step in if things ever get out of hand. Honestly, if anyone—regardless of their role—starts acting biased or losing their objectivity, there are plenty of ways to handle it. It's not like one person holds all the cards.
Alright, that works for me.
Look, even if you don't agree with my complaint, you were polite enough when we talked, but this? This was unnecessary. It’s pretty low. That’s not what I’m claiming at all. I even went out of my way to mention that both you and velvettrucker52 have been perfectly fine to me, yet here you are, spinning it to make it look like I'm playing the victim.
Anyway, I'm actually pretty satisfied with how Blissin and nicin handled things. I really hope Paul Morales3 takes a look at their response and uses it to adjust her tone—not just with me, but with the other users she isn't quite as fond of.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in with their thoughts on the situation.
As far as I'm concerned, we can lock this thread.
Since this conversation drifted from a discussion into a back-and-forth argument, we’re locking the thread.
I think Paul Morales3 handled things poorly. Look, I get that little spats happen when people get heated, but there was no need to pull out the moderator tools like that, regardless of how it looked from a distance. I also realize that over on the Zelenskyy board, things aren't strictly regulated and discussions can get pretty rowdy for both users and mods, but there’s still a line you shouldn't cross regarding low blows. Moderators are members too; if certain behavior is tolerated for regular users, it should be fair game for mods. The issue here is that one side holds authority, so it definitely feels like a moderator power trip. That part is just wrong.
Well, as an admin, I can't force someone to apologize if they feel they did nothing wrong. We had plenty of time for that to happen here, but clearly, it's not going to happen publicly. Since Jose Williams mentioned locking the thread and explained why, I'm on board. It’s always smarter to step away before saying something that creates more drama down the road. It goes without saying, but I want to make it clear: just because of how this went down doesn't mean Paul Morales3 will be biased against others or toward Jose Williams in the future.
EDIT: Just so it's clear, Jose Williams currently has 3 strikes on the Zelenskyy board.
hollowmason64 said:Wait... if I'm getting this right—you aren't going to act on this just because it wasn't sent via DM? Seriously?
I didn't react because all I have is "Darkić says that's how it is." With all due respect to Darkić, as an admin, I need a little more substance than that.
hollowmason64 said:You were given solid info here about who's using which alt account, and you won't do anything about it simply because it didn't come through a DM?! Did I understand that correctly? Fine... if that's how it works, I'll just move everything over to a DM and send it to you. It's a bit much to suggest that Darkić is the only one with exclusive rights to send you DMs... 🤷
I haven't received anything here other than a hunch that perzefon@ probably has an alt account that Darkić mentioned. I say "probably" because the IP addresses match up. So what? Darkić claims she was typing from that alt while she was banned. That’s easily handled by filing a post report with an explanation about an alt account under a ban. The first thing a mod does is check the IPs, then they take it from there. I haven't seen her formal report yet, so once again, it's just "Darkić says that's how it is." By your logic, I should go out and hunt for proof myself, even though Darkić already said in her thread, "I could, but I don't feel like it." Well, I don't feel like it either.
Darkić doesn't have some kind of monopoly, and like I said, she isn't the first person I've asked to step up.
hollowmason64 said:Moving on then—what about those mods you mentioned? And their alts? And all the nonsense they pulled with those accounts? Have you checked that too? Or does that also require a DM? ...though I don't see the point of doing that via DM, since those moves are what dictate how things run around here..
The mods? Tupelo already gave her input on the alt situation over at KzB. It's all laid out there—exactly what happened and why she did it.
Anyway, since we're talking about a thread that's been deleted, there's no point in dragging this out. Not everyone can see what was written, so please stop pushing this topic. Darkić started her own thread over at KzB and is perfectly capable of speaking for herself.
hollowmason64 said:Look, if she couldn't just send a standard private message and had to use a link instead—and I can't even open links here--😢 darkić, please, get it together.🙂
Why did I get hung up on her specific claims? Well, I mentioned that most of what she's saying is stuff I've already heard before. I didn't really dive into an argument about it because, for some parts, I don't have the receipts, and for others, I just didn't want to drag a third party into the mess. Plus, in a lot of cases, I just didn't think it was worth the energy to type out a response, knowing exactly how those threads usually end up.🤷
Furthermore, who’s claiming screenshots are fake? I already noted that administration has dealt with users trying to submit Photoshopped Presidential messages to demand punishments and things like that. I’m just playing it safe regarding this; it has nothing to do with her specifically. I haven't received any screenshots myself, and as far as I know, neither has Nice. What I do know is that any threads making these kinds of "claims" will be deleted and the users banned if there isn't tangible evidence provided.
This isn't about a user accusing XY-on; this is darkić pointing the finger at Nice and explicitly mentioning their mutual messages, where darkić claims Nice was sending her links to stuff from the fashion section. (And you're still suggesting she should have sent a private message reporting it 🤣). The reality is that people saw the thread before it was wiped, and quite a few of us actually got direct messages about it, which I've already pointed out... basically, Pandora's box has been opened, if you want to put it that way. 🤷 So, what now?
By deleting the thread, you're actually just creating the perfect environment for conspiracy theories to grow. Since she posted this publicly, you should either ask darkić to provide actual screenshots right here in the thread, or just hit her with a month-long ban... apply it to her, to me, or anyone else who ever does this. If I were in Nice's shoes, I would be demanding that you restore the thread and prove it... nobody wants to be left looking guilty if they haven't done anything wrong! It started out in public, so clean it up in public—do it for your own sake, if you're innocent and have nothing to hide. 🤷
What I really want to know is: what happens if this is true and she really was sending those things? You have the "tools" to verify it... ..just like you have the tools to check if everything said about the mods creating piles of clone accounts and all the favoritism is true. Do you actually plan on using any of those "tools," or are you just going to sit there waiting for more evidence?
Nice isn't the only admin on this forum. I told her a while back that if there's something that needs handling via DM, she should just hit up the admin team. She can send those famous screenshots straight to me—she won't get in trouble for it. Let's be real, she won't be the first or last person to slide into my inbox with stuff like that. Personally, I think it's pretty silly to start a whole thread like that without any actual proof other than "trust me, I have it," but that's just my take.
So, what's next? No crime, no punishment.

I pulled the thread to stop the endless gossip based on nothing but hearsay. No one named in that thread needs to defend themselves because there's nothing to defend against. Are people really supposed to start making excuses just because Darkić claimed she has evidence, including some compliment from outside the forum?

Like I said before, I’m not going to stress over what hasn't happened yet. It doesn't even cross my mind to go digging just because someone drops a line like, "I've got the receipts, but I don't feel like posting them here." I already laid out the necessary steps. Whether she decides to follow through is entirely up to her. Whatever happens after that is on the administration.
Last thing I’m gonna say: I’m not moving an inch based on random accusations that someone broke the rules unless there’s actual proof. If this is about the mods, those things don't get handled out here in the open—you gotta take it straight to the admins via DM, which is what I’ve said a few times already.
If you caught someone using a burner account while their main profile was banned, just report it to the mod team or the admins.
hollowmason64 said:...because when you don't know how to dodge specific questions (the ones that make you uncomfortable), you just resort to saying: "that's off-topic" 🤣 The reality is, this whole thing is about the mess this administration is making and how it's spreading, but I get the feeling that title might bother you guys, since you've all suddenly become so polite... 😳
I think there are quite a few of us here who actually got a direct message from @darkićin and her "blessing" to talk about this publicly. It’s not exactly a secret, either—it stems from that thread she started regarding forum exceptions... ...which you guys were all too quick to delete. Why? Do you honestly believe you can hide things and that most of this nonsense won't be seen? 🤣 And why is Daniel Ward87 now asking her to send proof via private message? Why is he trying to cover this up? Trying to justify it by claiming the screenshots are fake? Great idea! ...if they really are fake, then prove it to her and to all of us right here so we can see she's just being dishonest 🤷 That's what people usually do—they try to "clean up" their reputation in public once someone calls them out in public... ...assuming they actually have a clean reputation to begin with, of course ☕
Just to be clear, most of what was written in her thread isn't even news to me; if anything, I could probably add quite a bit more to it😬. Honestly, I'm just fascinated by how some people can't see the moment their arrogance turns into pure stupidity 😍🤣
Oh, and one more thing—I'm curious to know what steps you've taken, or plan to take, to investigate all of this, what the sanctions will look like, and when we can expect an update? :zainteresirana forumašica:🍿
The thread was nuked because she wrote a ton of stuff without providing any actual proof, even admitting herself that she just threw it all together quickly and didn't feel like digging further.
It's wild to me that you're questioning why I'm asking for evidence when you saw everything she wrote. She made plenty of claims without showing a single shred of proof, relying entirely on lines like "I have screenshots," "Do I really have to show them?" and "Tupelo bragged about it herself outside the forum." You can't expect the admins to act on that. What would you say if I told you I had screenshots proving life on Mars? Would you actually ask to see them, or would you just take my word for it?
Also, who's making excuses about the screenshots being fake? I mentioned that the admins have already dealt with users trying to submit Photoshopped Presidential messages to get others in trouble. I'm speaking generally here; it has nothing to do with her specifically. I haven't received any screenshots, and as far as I know, neither has Nice. All I know is that threads filled with these kinds of "claims" will be deleted and the users banned if there isn't tangible proof provided.
As for taking action, based on what? Just because she *said* she has evidence?
Justin Harris12 said:I’m thinking we should spin up a dedicated bodybuilding sub-forum under the fitness section. It covers everything from supplements and diet to specific training routines.
If there's already room for things like cycling, having a focused spot for lifting would keep things way more organized and useful.
Who’s with me? 🙂
Hopefully, the mods are down for this idea.
Hmm, if we do that, every single sport is going to start demanding its own section. Plus, supplements aren't just for pro lifters—regular gym-goers and anyone looking for a nutritional boost use them too. I don't think carving out a new section is the best move.
Nicholas King said:I’m already looking forward to the usual routine—setting up committees and holding multi-day meetings at every level of the bureaucracy (since they already botched this so badly they prevented any quiet or painless cleanup). People are throwing diagnoses around like confetti. I can just imagine someone calmly blabbing, "you always and everywhere see conspiracy theories," simply because they were called out for spreading a lie. There’s actually plenty in the DSM in there about people who always and everywhere see conspiracy theories—not necessarily those who just spout nonsense and then spin it—plus a healthy dose of pure arrogance.
A long time ago, I would have wondered how you all could be so shameless.
Dear Byron, since you’ve already received notice regarding your strike, you’ll eventually check this thread and spot this post. But don't worry, I'll send you a link just so we know you're in the loop.
Regarding your quoted post, you received a strike for violating the site rules because it has nothing to do with the topic; it was just an unsolicited comment that wasn't even appropriate for the context. You didn't get a strike for off-topic posting because this isn't the only instance of what you (and not just you) have been doing lately—which is jumping into almost every thread on this forum with similar posts, regardless of whether they make sense or relate to the discussion.
As a result, administration has decided they won't tolerate this anymore. Consider this your final warning before a partial ban from the forum. If you continue this pattern, the next sanction could be a partial ban from this site without prior notice, and it might happen before your individual posts even get flagged. There will be no further discussion regarding this warning or the strike you received for the post quoted above.
Sarah Morales90 said:So you watched the thread and decided we aren't being consistent, and that we should be embarrassed?
When I'm dealing with an economy moderator, I feel it’s only fair that I weigh in while we wait for the supermod. The user was basically playing doctor in the thread, so I stepped in to address that. And honestly, I think my approach was pretty reasonable. The guy didn't get a ban or even a formal warning; he just got a polite request to stop doing that. And he listened. Of course, everything can be double-checked with this link.
Since I’m working with adults who can handle themselves, I don't think jumping straight to a strike is the only way to handle things.
If you want us to apply the exact same rules to mods, well, maybe 🙂
Since our supermod isn't available to moderate normally right now, the admins sat down with lili p. to make sure we stay consistent. We agreed that the mod whose post was flagged should face the same kind of response lili p. gave to the user for doing the same thing earlier.
Look, since the user only got a heads-up rather than a strike—and from what I can see, nobody else was actually complaining here—I don't see why we'd hand out a strike to a moderator for the same "online diagnosing" slip-up. To prevent any more confusion, we decided all mods should issue a warning against doing that, which is exactly what happened here.
Brian Edwards78 said:Why shouldn't we all jump in and chat about how to level up this Reddit while we wait for the smart updates? After all, that’s basically the whole vibe of this sub:
At first glance, I’d just say, "Hey, maybe add a space after the comma in the complaint section." Then I’d start wondering why things aren't working the way they used to. Ultimately, I'm left asking if the old way is actually the best way, or if there's a better way to keep things running smoothly.
Look, this isn't really a thread for brainstorming site improvements, so let's try not to veer off into off-topic territory.
Brian Edwards78 said:If the mods are just regular users, and regular users have a specific Reddit thread to appeal their bans, why shouldn't the mods use that same thread to appeal their own? Sure, they’d have to get flagged first to have anything to complain about, but I don't see why those penalties can't be handled in the standard appeals thread. It would actually give everyone a much clearer look at how the rules are being enforced.
🤷 That’s just how it’s always been—if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Besides, that's not really what we're here to talk about, so let's not get sidetracked. We'll wait to hear from the intelligent ones; if they don't weigh in, then me and my buddy in Nice will figure out our next move.
Brian Edwards78 said:Look, you won't hold it against me if I don't take your disappointment in my impression as being 100% sincere, right? Especially since we haven't exactly known each other forever.
Of course not.
Brian Edwards78 said:Which moderator are you guys going to coordinate with? It sounds like you're planning to sit down with the guy who got reported to discuss his own punishment. That’s a bit weird, to say the least. Not to mention, that’s definitely not how things work with regular users. I'm just not following the logic here.
I might have phrased that poorly. We aren't "negotiating" penalties with him—that's entirely our call. A moderator can appeal a strike just like anyone else on Reddit, right? Regular users have their own threads for that. Moderators handle things a little differently since they're part of the team, but the principle is the same. Hopefully, that clears things up.
I didn't even mean to start this thread just to show sympathy, it just sucks that you walked away with that impression.
Like I said, there's a difference between what I’d personally do and how things actually play out. I sent a DM to the lead, and if I don't hear back by tomorrow, then me and my buddy in Nice are going to sit down with the mod and figure out our next move.
