Brian De Palma in Movies ·
Just finished rewatching The Untouchables. What a masterpiece. Honestly, I think this one is criminally underrated for its genre—it’s easily one of the best. It’s just packed with iconic moments, that unforgettable score by Ennio Morricone is legendary, and De Palma is clearly at the absolute top of his game here. Between Sean Connery and the rest of that stellar cast... man, everything about it is just perfect. I really feel like they don't make movies this good anymore.
This scene is pure gold 🙏

Unstoppable (1985) in Movies ·
Solid movie. Honestly, the best part was seeing Steven Spielberg finally step away from this kind of stuff.
It’s such a joke. I mean, Brad Pitt snagged that award right alongside a powerhouse like Joe Pesci, simply because he played himself in *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*. Three Golden Globes for the worst Tarantino flick ever made, and all that... It’s just blatant lobbying and pure Hollywood politics.
Kevin Costner in Movies ·
JFK is easily his best movie and that was definitely his finest performance. He’s a solid actor, I guess.
Venom (2018) in Movies ·
Look, I’ll just say it: Tom Hardy turned out an absolute pile of garbage. Honestly, the guy has finally lost the plot. It’s always the same thing with him—that overrated, brooding, mumbly mess that somehow has all the film critics and entire audiences losing their minds. It’s ridiculous. What a waste of time. It makes me wonder why such incredible actors are stuck working in the shadows while frauds like Hardy, Gosling, and the rest of them get handed all the best scripts on a silver platter...
R. I. P. Chris in Music ·
This is just devastating news. Only 52 years old. What an absolute legend of a musician and vocalist. I’ve always looked at Soundgarden as this progressive rock powerhouse tucked inside the grunge scene, man. What a damn incredible band. This is just gut-wrenching.
Total garbage, but honestly? I loved it. Charlton is an absolute legend. 😁
Montag of Heck by Kurt Cobain in Movies ·
Look, Nirvana is a good band, I get it. But if we’re actually looking at the lineup coming out of Seattle back then, they definitely fall short in terms of pure quality compared to Soundgarden, and honestly, even Alice in Chains. To me, Soundgarden was hands down the heaviest, most powerhouse rock band of that era; Pearl Jam and Nirvana were just sort of hovering somewhere in their shadow. As for this documentary? It’s nothing but pure propaganda for Courtney Love. The whole thing just spends its entire runtime glazing her, it's honestly nauseating. She was just a typical addict and a street walker—and look, she wasn't even cheating on Kurt Cobain, but the guy took his own life because of everything else. The second I realized Dave Grohl wasn't featured in this, I knew exactly what I was getting into, because everyone knows where he stands on Courtney Love. This whole thing is just pathetic.
The Purge: Anarchy (2014) in Movies ·
If you’re the type of person who lives for those gritty 80s action classics—I'm talking stuff like Escape from New York or Warriors—then you are absolutely going to love this. Seriously. Frank Grillo totally killed it; he honestly has that specific kind of charisma you just don't see much anymore, the kind that makes someone a legitimate new action star. In my opinion, he would have been the perfect choice for Punisher, but since he’s already playing Crossbones in Captain America, I guess that door is pretty much slammed shut. That's just how it goes, I suppose. For anyone who isn't into the style of movies I mentioned at the start, though, they're probably going to think this is total trash.
edge of darkness in Movies ·
Honestly, the only part of this movie actually worth watching is that one scene where the car hits that girl, causing > to fly out and absolutely unload on the driver in his classic style. Everything else? Just total garbage.
Walter Grant5 said:I'm with you guys on this one. Nothing groundbreaking here, just solid action. It was a nice touch how LR linked the visuals back to Scott's film. Honestly though, the narration bugged me—I would’ve cut most of it. Especially that shitty, unnecessary patronizing at the end. It felt totally out of place with the rest of the movie, and I seriously hate when they feel the need to explain every little thing to you.

Never was a huge fan of Gibson, but you gotta admit, the guy’s got charisma. This had way more style and heart than The Expendables. In that one, you just have this untouchable cast acting like, "Oh look at us, having a blast doing old school stuff," and it feels forced as hell. Look, I love Dolph Lundgren, but what Gibson did here is better than that entire The Expendables crew combined.

Bottom line: In my book, this movie is a class above The Expendables. Sure, there are things I didn't love—especially that narration, which felt like a cheap gimmick—but Gibson is a freaking legend. A total icon. Hollywood can take their hypocritical censorship and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. For me, this is a 7.5/10.
Snow White (2012) in Movies ·
I honestly have no idea what to expect from this one. After how badly Tarsem Singh let me down with Immortals, I'm feeling pretty skeptical..
Frank Moore4 said:Personally, I feel like Woo totally butchered the second installment with his specific directing style. Sure, that vibe works for a hard-boiled target, a man without a face, or those Hong Kong classics starring Chow Yun Fat, but it just doesn't fit the Mission: Impossible vibe.

Looking back on it, the first movie captured the spirit of the original series perfectly. The second one completely missed the mark because of that "Woo" style, whereas the third movie might actually be my favorite of the bunch.

For me, the second one is just plain awful. The first one is way better, though I have to agree that the third is the strongest. Based on what I saw in the trailer, the fourth looks like it actually has some potential...
Red Sonja Remake in Movies ·
Honestly, this is going to blow the original out of the water, because let’s be real—that first version was absolute garbage.
Really solid movie. Kilmer is absolutely phenomenal here, and honestly, Dorff proves with this performance that he’s an incredible actor who’s been way too underrated for far too long. His filmography over the years has been a total mess of questionable choices (though, hey, at least he knows how to hold his liquor when he's out with Jack Nicholson. I heard Jack once told him, "Way to go Dorff, way to go!" LOL). Perneau is great as always, and Shepard is just his usual stellar self. The beginning feels a little bit cheesy, almost like it's trying too hard to be sentimental, but as the story unfolds, it just keeps getting better and better. 8/10
The Beaver (2011) in Movies ·
The movie’s getting some pretty decent reviews, but if you ask me, everyone agrees on one thing: Gibson absolutely nailed this role. Honestly, Mel Gibson deserves better—don't let the Hollywood lobby crush him.🙂
