Yeah, but he definitely overplayed his hand during that attempt to overtake the car ahead.
Which race is this now where Hamilton loses out to Rosberg on the start... He clearly struggles whenever he’s sitting on pole.

What does harvest mode actually mean?
Nicholas Newman2 said:The qualifying results weren't particularly interesting, to be honest.
Maybe the answer lies in tomorrow's weather forecast for Barcelona? If anyone feels like posting it here, that would be great.

There’s been talk over the last few days about potential rain, but based on this, we’re looking at another dry race. Honestly, we haven't seen rain during a race in the US in maybe twenty years.
What's going on with the Politics subforum? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Politics is just spinning its wheels—meanwhile, TV News is charging ahead at full speed. It’s already outpaced both local news and sports, and honestly, if they didn't have that Big Brother vibe going on, it would probably overtake everything else too. Give it two or three years, and it'll be bigger than the entire political scene combined.

The moderators are basically invisible. Truth be told, TV News is highly visited and actually stays organized and easy to navigate—quite the contrast to Politics, which is just a cluttered mess. The political section is also suffering from a massive lack of unique voices. If I were to open five random threads in Politics right now, 90% of the people talking would be the exact same handful of users appearing in all five.
Yeah, that red flag was basically a gift to the Ferrari guys—it did absolutely nothing but screw over the reds while handing Grosjean an easy out.
It’s like some higher power stepped in; you just can't account for stuff like that when you're sitting there crunching numbers and trying to map out a race strategy.
Though, I'll give you this much—using those worn-out SS tires later on was definitely a massive oversight on their part.
If only the Bears could actually get their starts right, we might actually have an interesting race on our hands.
The replay is playing right now on Sky Formula 1
I can’t help but wonder how much of a monster Ferrari is going to become once the tracks start calling for those harder tire compounds.
For years now, those hard tires have basically been their secret weapon—their bread and butter, really.

They'll probably be pulling all-nighters at Maranello working on the clutch until they hit Bahrain.
The race of the season.
What a nasty wreck.

Luckily, the Grand Prix of USA is an hour earlier this year, so we won't have to deal with any darkness issues because of this interruption.
Yeah, look, it’s just part of the game when one team dominates for a stretch. Nothing shocking there. The real issue—the actual —is that when one team owns the podium for years on end, people just stop watching. It isn't really Mercedes-Benz's fault, though; it’s more about the regulatory mess that
mentioned. Fewer viewers basically means less money flowing into the sport.
In my view, Formula 1 started its downward spiral when they banned fuel flow, which pretty much killed off the tactical chess matches—one of the few things I actually enjoy about this sport.
Then you had that whole tire disaster, followed by the jump to V6 engines, and worst of all, those restrictions on development and testing.
Bernie Ecclestone had some thoughts on this morning's qualifying sessions—criticized them, sure, but he made it clear that sliding back into the old ways isn't on the table. He’s not interested in seeing Mercedes-Benz sitting there in P1 and P2 every single time, mostly because he thinks it kills the viewership numbers. He even floated this idea about taking the top performers from one race and slapping penalty seconds on them during the next qualifying round, just to shake up the grid and actually make the races worth watching.

So, if you ask the boss, we can probably kiss that old Q3 format goodbye—the one where Mercedes rolls out onto the track and absolutely obliterates everyone else in the first few minutes. But honestly, this new setup hasn't exactly done much to push the Germans off the front of the pack either.🤔
It feels like this rain always decides to show up right when nobody actually wants it to.

Thanks. Just had a look.
They’ve really overcomplicated things with these tire regulations—it feels like they're trying too hard—but at least they gave the drivers some actual options now, which might actually make things interesting for once.
I’m honestly curious to see just how long those ultra-softs are going to hold up before they fall apart.

Is the rule still in effect where they have to use two different compounds during a race?
Do the drivers actually get to pick which specific tires they want from the available options, or are they stuck with whatever three compounds Pirelli brings to the table?

That’s just awful. I wouldn't even go there.
It was probably just an American vehicle running on a much lower tank than usual.
It’s always just so much easier to slap a "fascist" or "Nazi" label on anyone who doesn't see things exactly your way.
Just get used to the fact that there are plenty of people out there who believe the US should keep its borders closed to refugees.

Mercedes’ pit wall made a call there that was honestly just baffling.

Even if we assume Ham's tires were totally shot—which, let's be real, they weren't—they still should have kept him out on track.
There wasn't anyone out there who could have done anything to him anyway....

Rain's falling, but at the absolute worst possible time—Sunday's looking like it'll be nothing but sunshine.

Williams gets decent traction out of the corners, and once they hit the straight with that Mercedes-Benz engine, their top speed is actually pretty impressive. That’s exactly why Sebastian Vettel couldn't get anything done.

Ferrari is less than five seconds behind the Mercedes-AMG in a clean race without any SCa interference.
They’ve made way more progress than any other team on the grid—it's pretty obvious if you're actually watching.

Last year, Mercedes-AMG would have pulled a gap like that within the first few laps.
