I have my doubts that Mercedes will ever pull off another repeat of their 2014 run—or even anything resembling Ferrari’s 2004 dominance. It isn't because they lack the technical chops, per se; it’s more that they simply have zero incentive to actually do it. Ever since 2012, viewership numbers have been on a steady, downward slide, and frankly, having a dominant Mercedes era on full display doesn't exactly help fix that trend.

Wait, didn't people on this forum give Lewis Hamilton the nickname "Popcorn" a few years back?
And now he’s out here presenting himself as some sort of cold-blooded Scandinavian.

I saw someone post that exact same sentiment during the discussion about Belgium—back when people were practically handing out red cards and calling everything a total scam just because Vettel managed to pull off a win.
Yeah, looks like rain might actually be Mercedes' best friend today. Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if one of those Ferrari drivers fails to even scrape into Q3. We really shouldn't count on their pit wall either—they’d probably be better off watching qualifying from the grandstands at this point. Might actually prevent them from messing things up even more.

Aside from that crash in Germany—which was entirely on him—there isn't really much to complain about regarding his performance in Canada or Belgium. It’s pretty obvious that Mercedes just has the better setup for wet, cold conditions.

I’d give anything to have seen the onboard view from his cockpit during that stretch!
He should probably go thank the stewards. If things had actually been handled fairly, he’d be sitting right up by Alonso’s position today—maybe even trailing him.

Just pure chaos between supposed "teammates," aggressive blocking, and overtaking sequences that looked like something out of a movie—even those triple overtakes where the third guy jumps the top two and then the second one leaps the leader. The only downside was that the SC dragged on a bit too long, but honestly, that’s just part of the fun.
👍 and controversial races like this one are exactly what give Formula 1 its soul.
Lewis Hamilton just played himself—doing all those stupid little things and slowing down completely blew a win he basically had in his pocket.

Things are going to get messy after this. ☕
Look, if there’s actually any debate about whether Lewis should be punished, then it’s a non-issue when you bring Bottas into it. That chemical mess during the first lap—that's enough to warrant a penalty squared.

After all that hype about how difficult overtaking would be, we might just end up watching endless processions instead of actual racing... It really looks like Ferrari is the heavy favorite for the title this season. Part of me would love that, but seeing Vettel as the clear frontrunner makes it feel a little repetitive already... Man, Kimi, what a disappointment. You clearly have the fastest car on the grid and you still manage to underperform like that. At this point, you're acting like nothing more than a glorified wingman for the team... Congrats to the longtime fans and the new Ferrari supporters joining the club today. A little shake-up at the top of the standings after the last few seasons definitely won't hurt...
Honestly, watching a procession where passing is actually difficult is more interesting than those races where we just see constant, mindless overtaking. But this is Los Angeles—Shanghai is coming up next with that insanely fast, long straight, so we'll see how things actually hold up then.
