What's the point of Zen koans? in Spirituality ·
mistyfox812 said:It’s called ''...the word zen is actually just a variation of some old Greek term for life...''

Zen-on says: look, you gotta get through half the distance before you can finish the whole trip. But wait—before you even tackle that first half, you have to cover half of *that* (the first quarter). And before you do that, you’ve got to hit half of that first quarter. It just keeps going and going forever. Basically, before you could ever travel any actual distance, you'd already be stuck trying to cross an infinite number of tiny little segments.
Diogenes just gets up and walks out.

😉

but since we're dividing things into an infinite number of segments: the time required to cross one of those infinitely small segments APPROACHES ZERO😉 😁

Best regards!

And how exactly do you know it isn't?

Still, your explanation resonates with me most (though I won't call it logical, because I know all those spirituality enthusiasts will jump down my throat if they hear I think Zen is meant to confuse people or weaken the mind).

Zen is meaningless babble.😉
Where can meaning possibly be found in eternity (the absolute)?😁

"The whole point of Zen is walking that razor-thin edge of the present moment— you have to be so incredibly, absolutely present that there’s simply no room left for any problems, or suffering, or anything else you aren't really being in your core essence. In the present moment—where time just doesn't exist—all those problems of yours just melt away. Suffering needs time to exist, and it just can't survive in
the present. To pull their students' focus away from the concept of time, the great Rinzai Zen master would often just raise a finger and quietly ask: 'What is missing right now?' It’s such a powerful question—it doesn't even need an answer from your logical mind. It’s designed to pull your attention deeper into the present moment. There's a similar question in the Zen tradition: 'If not now, when?'..."

Eckhart Tolle: The Power of Now 😍

THE PRESENT MOMENT DOES NOT EXIST
WHAT "exists" IS NOT NOW😉
Therefore, the present moment lies beyond existence itself.😁

harm the goose—how would you get it out?
The Master shouted: - Official!
To which Rika immediately replied: - Yes!

That snake-patterned necklace... and that crown resting on her head. Just look at her.

Use VF fields to neutralize them. It happened first during the Philadelphia experiment, then intentionally at Montauk, right near New York. That "Stargate" series? A total parody of Tesla technology. Americans find a way to monetize everything.
That makes for a useful secret weapon—special forces in tactical suits walking straight through a meter-thick concrete wall. ☕
And I should add: if you're a decent chess player, you don't deploy the queen until the endgame. 👍
I won't even bother asking what a "dimension" is to you—😍
dimensions are just walls inside your own psyche. 👍

You might as well say we're only perceptually in 3D, and this entire 3D world is an illusion, along with our material 3D bodies...

But I’ve already posed this question somewhere else on the forum; try answering this:
How is it that material reality feels SO solid? So incredibly solid that 99% of humanity is convinced it's the only truth there is...
Solid, and temporally continuous (at least, that's how we experience it).
Many people are aware of other "states"—vague astral experiences at night and such—but in the end, they are pulled back, always returning to the material body.
It's as if someone is playing a game with us, keeping us trapped in the play until physical death occurs...

Of course, plenty of people offer various explanations: karma, or souls wanting this or that, or some fairy tale nonsense about destiny...🙂 but I laugh at all of it.😍

And if anyone actually knew the answer, nothing would ever change.

VF fields neutralize surface electrons

Alright, walk me through this logic...

So, you’re actually claiming that material—physical objects—just slip off into other dimensions? 🙄

Or how exactly does a 3D physical object exist within a 4D "world"? My stance remains: only a 4D entity can truly inhabit a 4D realm. Human consciousness, however, is different; it can manifest in any dimension whatsoever.

Austin Hayes66 said:Just consider your options. 😍 Turn on the TV, browse the web, pick up some odd jobs, retire, and call it a day.
Are we just waiting for a global collapse? Or maybe just accepting that the government is lying to our faces while we daydream about escaping the Matrix. 🙂😂😂

Is everything else standing still except for these portals to other worlds?

The physical body is inherently tied to the physical realm... so I highly doubt a physical body can just slip into other "dimensions." Perhaps you get different bodies—astral projections or whatever—but the mind itself might be the only thing capable of moving.

Let’s play out a scenario: suppose the U.S. military possesses all this advanced tech, and let's assume they do a very thorough job of making sure anyone outside their circle who knows anything about it "disappears" quite unluckily.
What are we supposed to do? We aren't in the U.S. military.

Then there’s that other theory: the idea that human mentality—or more accurately, our culture—simply isn't ready for these new "shifts" yet.🙄

mrQ Karen Sanchez19 said:Moving on. Let’s look at Example 3. The American Rule: The Controversy Rule.
Don't bother hiding the data. It’s a waste of breath. Just release it—but drown it in a sea of disinformation. That's how you actually control the narrative.
That way, nobody can actually cite those figures as anything more than hearsay in the public eye. So, we're essentially dismissing any investigation into that matter as nothing more than a joke. A farce. A complete waste of breath. 🙂
Example:
The X-Files.
The whole David Icke reptilian theory? It’s all fine and dandy, really. Everything checks out perfectly, except for two minor little hiccups at the very beginning: the Queen Mother doesn't actually go around drinking human blood every single day. 😂😂 The reptilians? They’ve shifted tactics. These days, they aren't even physical threats anymore—they're purely astral. It’s all psychological warfare now.
Even in the astral realm, the chaos never ends—it’s just more of the same. 👍
To suggest we should just cast aside the very same reptilian forces that steered the Sumerian and Dogon empires—not to mention those dynastic Egyptian regimes—is nothing short of madness. It’s pure lunacy. 😉 It’s almost laughable. You have these massive, influential families—predominantly Jewish power players—acting as if they actually share some ancient lineage with those reptilian entities. I’m convinced that’s exactly what they believe. 🤣 Blood isn't just water. It’s everything. 😈

The whole alien abduction narrative? It’s nothing more than a smokescreen. A convenient distraction designed to keep the public looking at the stars while the real shadow plays happen right here on the ground. It’s the ultimate sleight of hand. While everyone is busy debating whether little green men are snatching people from cornfields, the military-industrial complex is quietly running classified black ops under the radar. They feed us these tall tales about extraterrestrials to mask the true nature of their experimental projects. If you want to hide a massive, unauthorized weapons program or some questionable deep-state initiative, just give the media enough breadcrumbs about UFO sightings. It keeps the masses distracted, fascinated, and—most importantly—looking in the wrong direction. It’s classic misdirection.
Then you have *The X-Files*, which touches on them while obsessing over aliens—though, let’s be honest, it eventually devolved into those mindless episodes where Fox Mulder acts like a complete moron just to move the plot along. It all boils down to the same pattern: systemic American cover-ups and the blatant influence of corporate interests.
It’s a predictable cycle. When the military finds itself short on cash, they start offloading pieces of their proprietary tech to Boeing—or frankly, to whoever happens to be holding the checkbook at that moment. Money talks, and technology follows the highest bidder. 👍
-The mere label "conspiracy theory" acts as a conversational kill switch. Once that phrase is tossed out, the investigation stops dead in its tracks. It’s a convenient way to shut down inquiry without ever having to address the actual facts.
A title manufactured by American agencies? Against whom exactly is this conspiracy supposedly running? Is this just more textbook paranoia?
Are the media outlets being controlled? Absolutely. And frankly, it’s necessary. It is vital that they prioritize a child’s death one moment and pivot immediately to sports coverage the next. News is carefully rationed out to the public—it's a measured dose, and more often than not, it isn't even the truth.
Look at the patterns. Take the Al-Qaeda situation, for instance. You have certain individuals who just happened to be absent when the clock struck twelve, and then you have that specific department within The Pentagon being cleared out right before the blast. It’s all there. If you follow the breadcrumbs, the whole thing starts to look less like coincidence and more like a choreographed script. Everything points to the same conclusion.
They could have just as easily liquidated their own field agents—but then again...
If that information leaked to the CIA, the agency would fracture into two warring factions overnight—and that is exactly when control evaporates.
It’s the same old story. Mention that America wants total control over the global stage and the media landscape, and suddenly, you’re branded a conspiracy theorist. Case closed. Instant label applied.
It’s an unsettling reality. We talk about massive strikes, but the truth is far more chilling: an Al-Qaeda atomic device wouldn't need to level a city to be devastating. It could be small enough to fit in a briefcase.
Under normal circumstances, there simply is no such thing as uncontrollable. Everything follows a pattern. Every system has its levers. To suggest otherwise is just naive.
It’s blindingly obvious to me: absolute global control isn't just a theory. It exists.
But if I say this, I’ll just be branded with that tired old label: "conspiracy theorist." A conspiracy. Against whom? Against who exactly? Give me a name.
Especially if I believe that controlling the masses is an absolute necessity.
Control. Not a conspiracy. 👍

The methodology of controversy is quite simple: marginalize the actual issue. It’s all about draining the public's energy and redirecting their attention toward a different target entirely.

The mechanics of control remain somewhat opaque to me. What I am truly struggling to grasp are the motivations driving those at the very top of the hierarchy. Where exactly does their reach extend, and what is the ultimate endgame?
Is power and individual wealth truly the sole driver behind the machinery of control? Or is that just the surface-level symptom of a much deeper, more systemic pathology? Think about it. If you look at history through a certain lens, it’s easy to assume everything boils down to greed—the simple pursuit of a larger bank account or a seat at the head of the table. But that feels too shallow. It’s like looking at a massive hurricane and claiming its only purpose is to move air; it ignores the atmospheric pressure and the thermal imbalances that actually create the storm. Is it just about hoarding resources? Or is there an inherent, almost primal need to dictate reality itself? To hold the leash? We see it in every institution, from Wall Street to the halls of D.C. It isn't always about the money in the vault; sometimes, it’s about the sheer, intoxicating high of deciding what everyone else is allowed to believe and how they are permitted to live. Control is its own end goal. Wealth is often just the fuel used to keep the engine running.

And besides? 👍 For this thread.
It is quite SIMPLE: the entire thread has VANISHED. Now I am left wondering who on earth I should contact to actually RESTORE IT and pull it back from the database... Is this forum officially "abandoned" now?😉 😁
😉 😁

This thread serves as the definitive archive for John Doe’s massive enlightenment seminar, spanning roughly 15,000 posts.

Is there any realistic expectation that they might restore this entire saga via a backup? I certainly hope their IT department actually performs them on a regular basis.😁 😁

I was under the impression that nobody actually archives the ENTIRE INTERNET. Is this even possible? 😕

Does this require a subscription, or is it just some automated background process running on its own?

The guy claiming it's a server error is talking nonsense. It's basic logic: either the server is running or it isn't. It doesn't just function "halfway."

We really ought to migrate to phpBB or some other third-party software.🙄 😁

My two cents: This has zero to do with hardware. We aren't looking at a server failure here; we’re looking at a mess of errors and bugs within vBulletin itself. You just don't see this kind of instability with phpBB.

phpBB has a much larger footprint, which means their developers squash bugs incredibly fast.
