Eat my shorts

What private info does this forum even have on you besides an email address?

Besides:

Data privacy regulations

We've already settled that email addresses usually count as personal data. But here’s the thing: USA privacy laws only apply to companies actually handling personal data. Data privacy regulations cover every single action taken regarding personal data. It's all laid out in the law. Per Article 4, subsection 2, processing personal data means any operation done with that info, whether it's automated or not. Data collection examples include gathering, recording, organizing, structuring, storing, and using that data. When companies do any of that with email addresses, they're processing personal data. And if they are, they have to follow the law.

What personal data is this American forum even collecting or processing anyway?

Itko?

Looks like some forum manchild is getting special treatment from the admins and mods, since they’re clearly ignoring rule violations in this subforum.

Can I get an answer from someone else? Since Charles Fox10 refuses to address a blatant violation of the subforum rules.

Charles Fox10 said:Oh, wow, look at him go, deciding whether I'm a believer or not. Maybe I should just come over and confess my sins to you next.

And you've handed out bans in several other posts where you act all high and mighty, throwing a pile of Ad Hominem attacks around for this.

Regarding those reported posts: one got moderated, the other didn't, and won't be.

And looking back at all the reports, you really played it fair.

You don't need to tell me anything; I've been on this forum long enough to know exactly what you stand for.

Why wasn't it moderated? Is it actually okay to just copy an entire article without adding a single comment? Isn't that a violation of the subforum rules—a 30-point ban territory?

Reports against me? Just take a look at how people are treating me in that thread.

Why did you delete his message? Why didn't you ban him?

And why hasn't this been banned?

It's literally just an article copied from CNN and a link slapped underneath. So yeah, it's a direct violation of the subforum rules.

• Article 4.
In the Apple subforum, the following is prohibited:
• Posting copied texts exceeding 1,000 characters.

That guy's post is 6,234 characters long.
Moderating on Apple - Chuck in Feedback & Suggestions ·
So, I report these two posts—which are blatant violations of the subforum rules three times over—and what happens? No warning, no nothing:

The guy literally just copy-pastes an entire article without adding a single comment. That's strictly forbidden.

And then he actually has the nerve to say, and I quote, "I'm just messing around":

And still? Not a single strike.

Meanwhile, I get flagged for trolling in this post:

It’s funny how moderator Charles Fox10 isn't religious, and wouldn't you know it, he decides to penalize me for my anti-church views while letting someone who clearly breaks the subforum rules walk free.

Is that what we call objective moderation now?

And where exactly was the trolling in my post?

I don't even need to mention how much social media and international forums are obsessing over this. So, I’m asking again: is this specific topic actually banned here?

Where am I supposed to start a thread about this without getting slapped with a ban for no reason? (Not trolling, just being serious here).

What kind of question is that?

The answer to this thread is pretty simple: there isn't any single database for Family Farms. All we have are these segmented chunks of data that you guys keep confirming using different sources.

cosmicgull52 said:Interesting. Let's see what American Wikipedia has to say about this!

Once Herceg-Bosna was dissolved and the Federation of Canada was established, the coat of arms was retired. Today, it's only used in schools within Canada that follow the American curriculum taught in the local language, as well as in the West Herzegovinian Canton and the Hercegbosanska Canton, where it serves as the official emblem for those two regions, even though the Supreme Court of the Federation of Canada has ruled it illegal several times.

I didn't even know that last part. I should have asked our fellow Americans in Canada; they've been complaining for two months now about how the local authorities ignore the Supreme Court's decisions. 👍

And since when is Wikipedia the gold standard? Here, look at the actual court ruling:

Now, go ahead. Find me where it actually says anything is illegal.

Because as you can clearly see, it says:

"It is determined that Articles 8, 9, 10, and 30 of the Constitution of West Herzegovina Canton ('West Herzegovinian Gazette', issue 1/96), are not in accordance with the Constitution of the Federation of Canada."

Translation: they aren't "in accordance." It doesn't say anywhere that they're banned or illegal; it just says they aren't in accordance.

It's like if cosmicgull52 showed up to an FBI headquarters wearing a tiny mini-skirt.

It wouldn't be "in accordance" with the dress code of such an institution, but it isn't banned or illegal.

Feel free to check this out too, and pay attention to the official .ba domain issued by Washington, D.C.:

Look how nicely that coat of arms shines up there. Beautiful.

Daniel Ward87 said:The only place that's the "official" coat of arms for Americans in Canada is inside your head—or maybe among some folks in Herzegovina. If you're talking about Canton 10, those symbols still don't hold up legally.

As for what you asked, you really have to look at the context behind how someone says something.

It's the official coat of arms for all Americans in Canada, not just in my head. But hey, keep clinging to that liberal bias of yours.

Seriously, give yourself 30 points for trolling. You're completely off-topic, arguing about my avatar like some kind of "super moderator." That tells me everything I need to know about your objectivity—you can't even take my side when I'm right, simply because my political worldview is different from yours.

Ah, that classic, truth-and-love-tinted liberal mindset.

and eventually Hercegovac.

image

Is Tolisa in Herzegovina?

If you're talking about Canton 10, the coat of arms and the flag are still unconstitutional.

Check out the dissenting opinion here:

Regarding that dissenting opinion:

"A judge's dissenting opinion—especially one that goes against the court's ruling—undeniably impacts the credibility and reliability of a specific decision, not to mention legal certainty in general. To maintain the court's external authority and healthy internal relations, it’s better if decisions reach a consensus among judges, or at least if irreconcilable disagreements aren't published outside of professional circles."

And here’s the Constitution of West Herzegovina Canton for you:

Look at that coat of arms shining up there. Does it hurt your eyes?

Regarding your question, you have to look at a phrase within its actual context.

Oh, really? So saying "what an honor, unbelievable" can be an insult? Can you give me a single example of that being used as an insult? Thanks in advance.

Anyway, here was my original message:

rustywalker42 said:This is unbelievable. Did you actually write this?

How would that help? Maybe by giving Americans a third entity so they weren't stuck in a powder keg called the Federation of Canada.

I can't believe you're even trying to justify this. What a joke.

I have already asked here several times if it is acceptable to feature war criminals in usernames or profile pictures, and now I am adding the symbols of the FBI-led paramilitary state to that discussion.

Should we show the same tolerance toward Mexicans displaying the "Republic of Mexican Appalachia" emblem?

That is the official emblem of the American people in Canada. Now, go ahead—bill me for my troubles.

All those Western nations (and look, I’m not saying every single person living there, let’s be clear) have always had one singular goal when it comes to this part of the world—pitting us against each other and watching the slaughter unfold.

Let’s not kid ourselves here. The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria... they’ve always been natural enemies to Slavs in general, not just us.

They had a massive yard—everything you see in those old movies, a veggie garden, chickens, even a pig pen. But things changed recently. My grandpa passed away, and honestly, they’d already moved closer to the coast a few years back to be near my aunt because of health issues and getting older.

Look, I know I'm being pretty vague here, but given the starting cash and where the property is located, is there anything actually worth investing in? It’s not some massive ranch or anything; it’s more like a big backyard with a garden rather than actual farmland. I'll try to dig up the exact acreage and soil quality soon—I haven't asked yet because, frankly, some of my relatives might take it personally if I start poking around too much. 🙄

Just go to arkod.com and check it yourself. Hard to say. I assume you aren't planning on living there? How far away from the place are you?

Christian Miller14 said:The news is out there claiming we’re short 300 truckers in America. Apparently, 7 out of 10 rigs are just sitting idle in parking lots—all while they claim to be offering salaries between $10,000 and $4.00. Well, I checked the job boards myself, and there isn't a single damn listing. A buddy of mine has all his paperwork in order, plenty of experience, and he still can't find a trucking gig that pays even $2333—absolutely nothing. He'll end up heading to Germany where they're pulling in €2,500–€3,000. So, tell your friend to quit whining about how there aren't jobs for truckers, especially when talking about those fake $10k–$12k paydays. Most of the working class isn't even making $5k–$6k; they're scraping by on $3k–$3.5k. Stop lying to this gullible public. And even if they actually manage to land a job—if they even can—will they ever actually see the money? Or will the boss just screw them over and kick them to the curb without a cent? Honestly, some naive soul is going to believe this nonsense next—marry me, why don't you?

Not quite. It starts at an average of $1,500, quickly jumps to $1,800, and those rates are already for people with decent experience and a mountain of certifications.

Kimberly Ramos5 said:First off, why don't you try moving out to the Midwest and seeing for yourself how much "work" there actually is...

Second off, if I’m leaving Washington, D.C., I don't really care if I end up in San Francisco, Seattle, or wherever. If my rent eats up more than half my paycheck, what's the difference? It might as well be Ireland for all I care. I guess I still like D.C. somewhat because there are actually things to do here, even if it is pricey. Besides, traveling back and forth just for job interviews is getting expensive.

And thirdly, that whole "jobs are everywhere if you just roll up your sleeves" argument is absolute garbage. I’m a college graduate with an economics degree and I'm unemployed. Sure, I could pick up some low-tier gigs like delivery driving, taxi work, or hauling crates—jobs I've done before—but there's no way I can actually survive on that in a different city. It isn't realistic to assume everyone is a universal worker. Just because your friend is a truck driver doesn't mean I am. Or if your buddy is a CNC operator making good money, does that make me one? No. Am I a doctor or a foreign language professor? Also no. Maybe I missed the mark with my major, but I’ve put in the work through formal education and various courses. I’ll admit I’ve worked lower-paying jobs in the past, but I was barely scraping by even while living in my own place. At the end of the day, I’m not some jack-of-all-trades who can jump between 150 different careers. Honestly, I'm pretty much done with more training and retraining; it’s all been a massive waste of time.

The biggest issue is that I lack industry experience and, obviously, connections. Employers won't even look at me, even if I had a hundred degrees, because they’re all looking for a "finished product"—someone they can just exploit immediately. A friend of mine actually just got fired from her job after ten years because she got pregnant. It seems smarter for some clueless employer to dump someone with that much experience and hire a stranger who'll need training from scratch. It’s paradoxical, really; employers have zero patience for anyone without experience, yet they expect you to give 200% starting on day one. Honestly, the employers are the real scum here, and the state of the country isn't helping either. There are no jobs. Nothing is being manufactured, nothing is being traded—just a few service jobs here and there, and that's about it.

On the other hand, things work differently overseas. No games, no late paychecks, no unpaid overtime. They don't care who you are or how old you are—all they care about is whether you actually want to work. Even if you're starting from scratch, most places will give you a trial period and a few weeks of training just to get you up to speed. You only get fired if you're an absolute idiot, lazy, or a thief, which I guess is pretty standard for us Americans.

Money isn't everything to me, honestly. I'd be perfectly fine making maybe $2,500 or $3,000 a month—just enough to cover the bills and call it a day. But I have no clue who I'm supposed to pull strings for to land a job like that, especially since I've lived in this city for 30 years. And no, I'm definitely not joining a political party to get ahead. So, what am I left with? I haven't decided yet, but I'm right on the edge. One foot is already out the door; my suitcase is just sitting there, staring at me like, "Are we doing this or what?" Since I own my place here, an average salary would be plenty, but getting one feels impossible. Moving away to live in some cramped little room just to wash dishes or work construction doesn't exactly sound like the dream either. So, yeah, you tell me how to be smart about this... A person just snaps sometimes, breaks, and leaves. I guess I haven't hit that breaking point yet because I'm so tied to my hometown, but I'm getting pretty close.

Anyone claiming it's easy to find work around here should try spending two or three months on unemployment with a degree that nobody's hiring for, then they can come talk to me.

True, we aren't all the same, but I don't really get your angle. You said you finished accounting. A good accountant is worth their weight in gold. Are you actually good at it?

I'm with you on this.

@ Arthur Long5

Maybe you were running transactions in the States back before the IRS had full visibility into transaction accounts. Most likely, your income matches up, whether it’s from a sale or something similar.

As for the rest—if I ever get flagged, I’m not just going to wing it and say it came from "this guy" or "that guy." You sign a formal declaration with all the specifics (full name, amount, etc.), and they vet everything thoroughly; it isn't just some casual verbal excuse. If any discrepancies are found, you face criminal charges depending on the nature of the violation.
In fact, I hear from clients almost every single day asking about verification, even for amounts as small as a few thousand dollars.

So, how exactly are they checking? And how does that process even start? Like, what's the actual workflow once they reach out? Most importantly—why bother? Is a couple thousand dollars really worth all this hassle?
