hahahaha

It’s just wild how some people struggle with basic math—honestly, I thought this was common sense!🤔

Entering under Safety Car basically cuts your pit stop time in half... that's why everyone is driving way slower on track than they are in the pits—there isn't that same speed limit once you're in the pit lane, just at the entry, whereas on track you're stuck under those limits until you exit...

So, if a normal pit stop costs you about 20 seconds during a race, doing it under Safety Car brings that down to roughly 10 seconds...

And trust me, this definitely isn't the first time we've seen something like this play out...

lol, apparently it takes a special kind of person to not see why this needs an urgent rule change...

stormybadger8 said:What are you even on... — honestly, I can't even tell!🤔

Unless they actually changed the rules after that total mess where Jenson Button and Ricciardo pitted in 6th and 7th—only to pop back out ahead of Nico Rosberg and the rest of the pack who hadn't even pitted yet—and then the Safety Car picked up Button while he was leading through no fault of his own... then I'm pretty sure nothing about how the Safety Car and Virtual Safety Car work has changed. It's all standard Formula 1 stuff!🤣

Come on, come on... just soak up that massive win before the next race! This kind of luck isn't happening again—now Vettel actually has to prove he can drive, and we all know exactly what happens if he can't. Hamilton for his 5th title, easy.

Anthony Baker84 said:you seem a little lost here—what are you even talking about?

I don't think they'll actually ban it, but honestly, they probably won't allow this much longer—otherwise, everyone will just be diving into the pits constantly to make up time
Australia vs. USA - March 25, 2018 in Formula 1 ·
I'm thinking that once they roll out the new rules for the Virtual Safety Car, everyone is going to be heading straight to the pits... which basically means Vettel's win won't even count under the new regulations

It’s honestly going to be just like this again

mellowtiger83 said:Are you seriously trying to spin some conspiracy theory about the virtual safety car being called just to bite him??

It wasn't him—it was race control... they'll look into everything, don't sweat it... Mercedes is looking dominant right now, and so is Ferrari in F1.

James Harris34 said:Race control really handed that win to Sebastian Vettel with all that indecision—it's such a shame because, based on how things played out, Lewis Hamilton totally deserved it.

Eh, doesn't matter much—those red flags will be popping up again before the season is over anyway...
Australia vs. USA - March 25, 2018 in Formula 1 ·
I can start celebrating—but honestly, just until the next race—because giveaways like this aren't happening again... I really hope they change the rules too, because it’s just ridiculous seeing someone make up 12 seconds through the pits... if that keeps happening, everyone will just pit every single lap to claw back time! Anyway, the track was absolute garbage

electricpanther9 said:Lewis Hamilton pulls a second off in a single lap—it’s not just the car, really.

That's why Valtteri Bottas is struggling so much, haha... sure, the car helps, but Lewis Hamilton is still the best driver out there right now—no debate needed!

Doesn't matter though... it'll be just like last year—driving like an absolute dream for the first half, then suddenly—bam—it's hammer time.

Heads up—it’s going to be absolute chaos over at Haas after today... heads might actually roll there...

I'm talking about those guys who didn't get the actual Pace Car out there right away.

What a total scam... we haven't seen robberies quite this blatant since the days of Michael Schumacher...

Man, you're definitely listening to that clown Novak too much--it's pretty obvious at this point.

Lewis was the one pushing for the pit stop, and the crew just buckled under the pressure instead of talking him down. That's really all there is to it. No grand conspiracy here, unfortunately 😁

Man, Lewis really knows how to get under people's skin. 🙂 Everyone is out here trying to shift the blame onto some incompetent pit crew member who just made the final call to bring the driver in.

stormybadger8 said:Honestly, Nico Rosberg is the real loser in this whole situation 😉
If there’s one thing you can bet your life on—assuming we even make it to the next race where Rosberg finishes ahead of Lewis Hamilton (fingers crossed we get there this season 😬)—it's that Mercedes-AMG Petronas will order Rosberg to hand that spot back to Hamilton. You can take that to the bank...
And man, that’s going to sting him way more than whatever happened to Lewis.

I'm totally convinced the crew is going to make this up to Hamilton at Rosberg's expense—I mean, they really ought to, since the team basically handed this one to Rosberg on a silver platter.

Nah, Lewis doesn't need any handouts. He's easily the strongest driver on the grid right now—the only thing that could actually threaten his title is if he gets knocked off the track for a good chunk of the race...

Yeah, right—after he spent three victory laps spraying champagne everywhere...

Mad respect for Sebastian Vettel. He actually realizes how much luck plays a role at this track—unlike that other clown over at Mercedes...

He hit his target perfectly—split the Mercedes duo and left that Englishman crying in the dust🎉

The championship is finally getting interesting
