Just a heads up, Lamictal is used as a mood stabilizer, mainly for people dealing with bipolar disorder. It doesn't just wipe away depression or mania instantly, but if you stay on it consistently, it helps stop those crazy mood swings from happening. You usually start on a tiny dose and slowly scale up until you hit that sweet spot for your body. It typically takes a few weeks before you really start feeling the benefits. Side effects can include stuff like dizziness, headaches, feeling sleepy or restless, or even nausea. Usually, those side effects die down once your body gets used to it.

😉

There’s a really solid article on this here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamotrigine

Xanax is essentially the same as Sanval; it’s just a different manufacturer. You clearly don't have a clue.😁

Is it even possible to stay focused behind the wheel or hold down a job while on such massive doses? It feels like some of these psychiatrists have completely lost touch with reality. I can't help but wonder if they would ever dream of prescribing these kinds of dosages or cycling through these types of medications to their own children—it feels like they're just frying their brains. There's a lot of truth to the concerns raised by experts like Dr. Bauer and the local pharmacists who actually understand the mechanics of how these doctors operate and offer well-reasoned critiques of the whole system.

Alex Barnes8 said:Since I'm already dealing with insomnia, could anyone suggest which pills work best for you?
I occasionally take a bit of Lorazepam—just a half or a quarter—but it feels strange. It takes forever to actually fall asleep, and then waking up in the morning is just brutal. It’s like the sleep hits hardest right when I need to get up. But if I don't take anything, I sleep even less and just suffer more.
What are you all using that kicks in faster and doesn't leave you feeling drugged the next morning?

Ambien is quite effective for sleep; it knocks you out completely, though it does feel a bit heavy on the brain and isn't meant for long-term use. Once you take it, you need to head straight to bed because it works so rapidly—you might actually lose track of your actions. I once remember typing on a forum while on Ambien and had absolutely no recollection of being at the computer the next morning; I ended up getting banned because I was posting nonsense in my pajamas, having no idea when I’d even put them on. Generally, people say melatonin is a good option since it's just a sleep hormone available over the counter. Personally, I've cycled through countless different psychiatric medications, but I've significantly cut back now and don't deal with withdrawal symptoms, even though I used Ambien for a very long time.

Seriously, what do you even say to someone claiming "you can't become an admin" 😕 Like, what's the response to that? 🤷

Being an admin is clearly a divine gift one is simply born with.😁
Angelina Jolie is filming a movie set in the USA in Close to Politics ·
Angelina is naturally quite provocative. She even admitted how she and her first husband used to engage in some rather intense sexual rituals involving blood. Now, she’s filming a project about the USA and its various atrocities, which seems like a convenient way to weave in her own sexual deviances while wrapping everything in a polished veneer of altruism, "war truths," and whatnot—all while turning a profit. She couldn't care less about the actual suffering in the USA or the crimes committed there.

If things don't go according to plan, my first instinct is usually to go off on someone. I’ve actually climbed quite high in my career, and I hold a pretty senior management position now. But what really gets under my skin—what I struggle with most—is seeing people half-ass their jobs or just totally slack off. It throws me completely out of whack, and I feel like I lose all control. There are moments where I just want to smash everything in sight, and it takes me a long time to finally settle down.
I just don't know how to find some calm.

You’re just your typical aggressive, capitalist mobber who didn't actually climb the ladder through talent, but through elbowing people aside, playing politics, and using connections—exactly how people get ahead in this country.👎

The moderators only stepped in and cleared the posts once I called them out on it—it felt like they were just being cautious after the fact. But cleaning up the mess isn't enough if the user still has that kind of rhetoric displayed right on their profile. Someone is going to step in regardless, so the admins might as well take initiative. Otherwise, they can look forward to someone else eventually flagging Holocaust denial.

What on earth are you talking about? We absolutely secured those three clean victories, and we’ll do it all over again.
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
placidridge said:Sometimes when I'm mid-task, I just get this sudden urge to pause everything and drift off—you know, just space out for a second. My focus starts slipping, and I can't stay 100% locked in on what I'm actually doing because my mind starts wandering off toward something else entirely. It’s fine if it happens in little bursts here and there, but when I really go deep into it, I can end up sitting there daydreaming for ages or just totally checking out to clear my head...

I experience the exact same thing. Is this actually a symptom of schizophrenia?

amberdriver85 said:So, what was the actual experience like—was it just side effects that were killing you, or did it simply fail to do anything at all? Also, what kind of dosage were we talking about, and what prompted the move from Faverin to Wellbutrin in the first place?

I was taking one 150 mg Wellbutrin XR in the evening. It didn't sit well with me; I felt constantly irritable—though I can't be certain if that was the medication or something else entirely. I only made the switch because my doctor suggested it. Currently, I am taking one Faverin at night.☕

I started on Xanax. For sleep, I've been using Melatonin. As for the antidepressants, I decided to stay put until I can see a psychiatrist. My thoughts aren't quite as dark anymore—likely thanks to the Xanax. I even took 6 Melatonin last night.😍

Why so many?😕

I was on Lexapro for a few months, and after about two months at two and a half pills a day, I felt relatively okay. Based on my psychiatrist's advice, I tried tapering down to just one Lexapro a day after two months, but things started going downhill fast. I ended up bumping back up to the 2.5 dose, but even after another two months, I wasn't feeling any better, so my doctor suggested switching over to Wellbutrin 300.
The initial transition was absolutely brutal, but I've been on it for a month now and the worst of it has passed—though I still haven't noticed any actual improvement in my mood.
How long does it usually take before you start seeing real results? 😢

My experience with Wellbutrin was quite poor, so my doctor switched me back to Faverin, and I am doing okay now.

Let's not be overly dramatic here. If someone actually intended to end their life, they wouldn't be sitting there typing on a forum.☕

crimsonheron80 said:Please help. I took my antidepressant today and now suicide is the only thing on my mind. I don't see any way out if these meds are actually driving me toward this. No matter what I try to do, I can't shake the thought; it’s stronger than I am. I don't think I've ever been this depressed in my life. Everything seemed fine yesterday—I wasn't thinking about this nearly as much. If this continues, I'm afraid I won't make it. Is there an alternative, or is this just how it ends?

The prescribing information inside your medication box should explain everything regarding your specific situation.☕Are you perhaps referring to Wellbutrin?

It covers various medications used for mental health conditions. A highly recommended read, if you have the time. Please, give it some thought...

Of course, everyone is out there buying every copy of Google magazine at their local newsstand.🤣If you're going to offer a suggestion, you really ought to provide a brief summary of what the article actually says.🙄
How do I get started with these changes? in Psychology ·
Alex Patel96 said:I’m not sure if this is it, but my life basically boils down to one simple definition: one step forward, two steps back.🤣🤣🤣🤣
How do you actually make more progress instead of just sliding backward? I honestly have no clue.😢

That is precisely why forums and the internet exist. As long as you spend your time scrolling through the web, that’s how you’ll feel. It’s an unwritten rule of the digital age—that’s just how the internet affects people.
My father committed suicide. How do I cope? in Psychology ·
Drew Morgan said:Forget calling FEMA; they need to start long-term psychotherapy instead.

When you're dealing with immediate shock or an acute situation, you go to a crisis center. Psychotherapy is a different matter entirely; it’s more about the long game, which becomes relevant much later. It's a bit like breaking an arm—your first priority is getting the fracture set at the ER, and only after that do you worry about physical therapy. I'm not quite sure why there is such a drive on these forums to offer unsolicited medical advice.☕
