I am not certain if it was liposuction. It is possible, though my memory is hazy. Liposuction would not help me. If it were just fat, I could lose weight to achieve a better silhouette. But when it is bone structure, is there any alternative to surgery?
coastalangler7 said:Carl Cox3, we are in the same boat, even if I am slightly taller than you.🙂 Right now, I have jeans that are huge at the waist but barely fit over my legs and hips.🤣 Everyone I talk to tells me I'm crazy because they say wide hips are a blessing. I get that, but finding jeans that fit is mission impossible.
Only if those hips are proportional. When they are too wide, they aren't exactly 😬 Finding jeans is also mission impossible for me. If I find a pair that actually fits, I buy them immediately, but I often have to drive across half the city just to find them. Does nature make mistakes?😂
Andrew Watson59 Asks: I told you to focus on your own strengths. Is it your hair, your eyes, your smile, or something else? Surely there is something about you that people find attractive. But what if I truly have nothing? What if I struggle with my nose, my teeth, my thin hair, or my figure? What am I supposed to do then? 🤣
I possess none of those traits. A large nose, small eyes, a high forehead, no bust, and short legs. All I have are overly wide hips and a large rear. Is that not enough? 🤣
melloworca6 Asks: I am built quite differently than you. Is there any hope of finding standard jeans that actually fit? I have to buy extra tight pairs with stretch just so they look decent on my hips and backside, rather than looking like they were pulled straight off a mannequin.
I have to buy two sizes up just to fit my hips and backside. Is that normal? 😢
silenttinker15 Asks: Even if you managed to find a Dr. Frankenstein willing to perform such a procedure, wouldn't you need to bankrupt your local Chase branch first just to afford it? I suspect an operation like that, performed without a medical necessity, would be considered illegal. ☕
It exists. I first heard about that procedure during an episode of Sandra's talk show on ABC regarding aesthetic surgery. A woman was discussing how her husband had reduced what she called his "broad hips," and that was when I first became intrigued. 😁
Is there truly any life left here? Does anyone even care to respond? [Username] says: The purpose and beauty of your curves should represent your fertility and your own sense of sexuality. Why should some idiots—who clearly have nothing better to do—spend their time debating whether they are big or small? Your hips aren't a flaw; they are simply part of who you are. Haven't you noticed how the fashion and beauty industries are largely driven by certain agendas? They seem intent on stripping away femininity until everyone just looks like an interchangeable boy...
And I suppose that makes me the perfect machine for producing children, doesn't it? 🙂
Thank you all for the input. For now, it isn't feasible since I lack both the funds and the opportunity, but perhaps one day. I simply wanted to gather information so I am prepared if I ever decide to take this step. 🙂
It isn't about television or photoshopped models. It is simply about one specific physical trait I want to change. Just as people get implants, fix earlobes, or reshape a nose, I would choose to reduce my hips. I want to be happy in my own life.
My hips are far from ideal. If they were wider, perhaps it would be different, but for my height, they are excessive. The last time I measured, they were over 40 inches, which is too much for someone who is 5'4". I feel unattractive in almost everything I wear, and this prevents me from being happy now or in the future. I don't see them as an asset; I see them as a flaw. I suppose I could live with them if I have to, wearing the same clothes forever to hide them or avoiding the beach entirely, but what kind of life is that if you can't be at peace with yourself? 😢
What is the worst part? Being short makes everything more noticeable. I have hips that look like they belong on someone at least 5'11". I don't have any extra body fat—I made that clear in my first post—it is strictly my bone structure. At 112 pounds and 5'4", these hips make me look barrel-shaped. Finding clothes that actually fit is an absolute nightmare. I have to buy pants two sizes up just to accommodate my hips, which means they are always 10 inches too long. Dresses and skirts? I am stuck wearing those frumpy A-line styles. It's exhausting. I have broad shoulders too, but that isn't even the main issue.
And here is the kicker: I recently read that pelvic bones are the only ones that continue to grow throughout your life, sometimes widening by up to two inches. Is there any way out? I am honestly willing to consider reduction surgery, provided the cost isn't astronomical and the risk of complications is low.
I am starting this thread because my concerns aren't about excess fat, which is why I felt the need to speak up. I am looking into surgical options to reduce the width of my hips. To be clear, liposuction, exercise, or weight loss won't help me; my issue is purely structural due to my genetics and wide bone structure. There is absolutely no fatty tissue on my hips. You can feel the bone immediately upon contact.
How complex is this procedure, and is it even performed here in the States? Has anyone here undergone this specific surgery? I would appreciate your insights.
My car stereo doesn't support MP3 files either. What I do is grab a standard 700 MB CD, select the "burn an audio CD" option, and load about 20 tracks onto it before burning. When you choose the audio CD setting, the software automatically converts those MP3s into a format compatible with older players. Basically, you are limited to 80 minutes per disc. You just have to keep track of the total runtime to ensure it doesn't exceed that 80-minute limit. Does that make sense? 😂
I am in agreement. 🙂 Is this the forum with the smallest avatars on the planet? 🙄 Perhaps the server could be optimized by permanently deleting banned accounts, those one-time users, low-post counts, duplicate threads, archived topics, or locked discussions. And why start chat threads for every single PDF?
I am looking for some assistance regarding rotation in Word. I want to rotate the entire page—the table and the text above it—all at once, as if I were simply turning the physical paper 90 degrees. When I change the orientation in Page Layout, the table stays horizontal and won't rotate with the rest of the content. I also tried selecting the entire table to adjust the layout, but the text direction option remains greyed out when everything is selected. The only thing I can successfully rotate is text outside of the table. Can anyone help?
It would be best to print them so you actually have physical copies. I used to keep everything on my computer and just kept putting off burning them to discs or getting them printed, then one day my hard drive crashed or Microsoft Windows failed and everything was gone. It felt like I had lost five years of my life...
Now I have accumulated a lot more, and I am procrastinating again. 🙄 I mean, I would make them all if I could, but everything is so expensive these days. For instance, printing is the cheapest option; a single 6x5 inch photo is only about ten cents if I recall correctly, but when you buy a thousand or more, it adds up to a massive amount. They even have deals where every third photo is free now, but still. I once did a trial run of 50 photos with them and they turned out great, but since uploading those 50 took over an hour, I don't even want to imagine how long it would take for 1,000. 😲
My brother and I used to receive birthday money from our grandmother in Germany, sent in envelopes. She had a clever way of doing it by hiding the cash between layers of cardstock. She would craft her own sturdy greeting cards with a secret compartment inside for the money, and nobody ever suspected a thing. We always received every cent she sent. 🙂
Could you please remove "princess" from my profile so it just says Carl Cox3? I checked the guidelines and it should be fine. Everyone on this forum calls me Carl Cox3 anyway.
Has anyone actually asked about the solution? It seems like nobody has even shown an interest in this topic. I decided to write this post just in case someone still wants to reply, so they know I don't need help anymore. Why should anyone waste their time if the issue is already resolved??
It took me six months to realize... 🙄 Now I'm facing a whole different issue...
I should probably just show you:
So, I can't type anything at all in the area outlined in orange above. When I try to type in the second orange section below, the exact same text automatically copies itself into the top section where I can't edit it. 😕 How do I turn this off? Is Microsoft Word 2007 really going to drive me crazy? 😠
