Eric Adams - Mayor of New York City, Part 4 in Political Scene ·
hollowmason64 said:And he will fix it. He still has three full years left on the clock. Why the rush to get worked up?

Yeah, that would be just perfect.
The biggest irony here, though, is your whole argument that the better alternative would be the dregs from a criminal organization—people who are usually just dim-witted hacks, incapable of anything except stealing and hiring more incompetent party loyalists, clueless relatives, and washed-up cronies. We all know they'd end up robbing us blind because of sheer incompetence, too. That’s probably why we're seeing this constant mantra coming out of the criminal group's media center lately: "hey, at least they aren't stealing while they work."

If you want proof of just how incompetent this criminal element is, look no further than the total mess with the gas situation in the city—which is directly the fault of one guy holding a Republican Party membership.
And he’s just one link in the chain.

Right, "he'll fix it"...

With which crew?

The bunch from Indianapolis who haven't accomplished a single thing back home?

Or maybe the guy using a company car for personal errands and pocketing $1,500 a month in travel expenses while ignoring every single regulation in the book? 🤣

In just one year, TT hasn't done a damn thing regarding staffing, other than dragging in more retired Democratic Party hacks...

Olivia Stewart2 said:You’re being aggressive again—just jumping down my throat. You’re hunting for an answer that’s impossible to give, and then, when you don't get it, you just twist the logic to suit your own narrative. Look, if Filipović were Mayor, he’d just be handing out top spots to Republican cronies and coalition buddies, filling city agencies with managers based on party loyalty rather than actual skill. Same goes for Joe Biden. But even they aren't nearly as ideologically extreme as these Možemo fanatics. The Republican Party is built on clientelism, sure, but they don't have people like Danijela Dolenec—someone who’d actually try to dismantle capitalism or fight for gender quotas. These Možemo types? They’re basically just the leftist version of Hasanbegović. It’s their whole deal. Everything is an ideological crusade with them.

Možemo is running New York City worse than Eric Adams ever did. Think about that. Eric Adams!! And let's be honest, Adams was never exactly the gold standard for competent management. So, by the laws of probability, both Joe Biden and Filipović would have been significantly more successful than this lot.

Man, tone it down a notch and stop projecting all your own aggression onto everyone else...

It’s not my fault that one simple question managed to expose just how much of a troll and a blowhard you really are...

I mean, we see exactly how the Republican Party operates every single day—from the blatant corruption to the fact that prices for basic goods are rising twice as fast here as they are in the European Union...

As for Joe Biden, the guy couldn't even manage to keep his own party together...

Basically, once you stop acting like a jerk and actually come up with some names who could do a better job, give me a shout...

This crowd wouldn't know the first thing about economics or actual management. They belong in the same category as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—just childish fantasies about how the world should work. They are activists through and through; that's what they were trained for. Their only real expertise lies in fighting ideological wars.

And now we're all just sitting here waiting to see which Joe Biden or Filipović appointee turns out to be "better"...

Still waiting on those names... did everyone collectively forget how to type?

Olivia Stewart2 said:Anyone! This group has proven themselves to be the absolute worst possible option. They are nothing more than ideological fanatics who lack even the basic competence required to run a major city like New York City.
In this country, you can easily sell people on the idea that tackling corruption is the single most important socio-political issue, and everything else will just fall into place. Well, that’s not how it works. You actually have to know what you're doing; being honest isn't enough on its own. That said, these people haven't even managed to build their corrupt octopus yet, so don't expect much progress on that front either.

Just a bunch of empty platitudes—though it's true Eric Adams is struggling with his staff... and until he fixes that, he's spinning his wheels...

But hey, feel free to point out which "anyone" would actually handle things better...

Go ahead—stick to talking about Filipović and Joe Biden...

What kind of "staff" do they have that would actually solve anything?

lonetrucker4 said:AT&T and their crew are stuck grinding through this massive uphill battle, trying to steer a giant, stubborn machine away from a total wreck.

It’s not happening smoothly, though, because the people who hate the change are out there sabotaging, muddying the waters, lying, and playing dirty.

Like what's happening here—some fake news gets dropped and then a bunch of shills just repeat it like parrots.

Yeah, I've seen it all over Facebook groups too, everyone claiming "the current pickup service is collapsing." You get some guy screaming, "They didn't pick up my trash today!!!!! Absolute disgrace!!" and then suddenly two guys from his exact same street show up to back up the lie.

And the lies keep coming—like, for example, trying to drag in some supposedly "super competent" director from Indianapolis who, frankly, didn't accomplish a damn thing while he was there...

Or handing out a $9k gross salary to some guy who’s basically using a corporate vehicle for his own private errands...

Gregory Hall66 said:I am not certain how your mathematical skills hold up, but my intuition suggests that if every tire truly perished within a single year, then not a single vehicle would be on the road.
That certainly isn't the current reality in New York City.

My own experience also dictates that a vehicle's lack of functionality isn't solely dependent on its tires. One must consider pneumatics, belts, bearings, electronics, and an exhaustive list of other components requiring regular maintenance.

But precisely how many tires are missing? I have no idea.
How many were actually purchased versus how many were required?

Am I not glad that we have transitioned from the era of "nothing is ever invested or maintained" to a debate over whether maintenance is sufficient or if it could be improved?

First, we had to prove that the previous excuses were merely the fabrications of incompetent activists, and now, we will likely struggle to obtain any truly relevant information.
(Unless we judge by what we see on the streets. And believe me, things have never been worse.)

Maybe learn the difference between a tire and a pneumatic component first... then we can talk...

And hey, glad you finally found the strength to admit that maintenance used to be non-existent...

Just one question: why weren't you whining about this back when the Republicans were running things?

Did all these problems magically appear just in the last year?
Eric Adams - Mayor of New York City, Part 4 in Political Scene ·
Gregory Hall66 said:The reality remains that these repairs were necessary back under Joe Biden's administration as well, and therefore, they had to be carried out.

If you are genuinely curious about the structural mechanics of how this works, you might find some clarity in the forum user esqelle's post, specifically her link to her final thesis.
(my thanks to esqella)

Quincy:
5. AN ANALYSIS OF THE FLEET MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION WITHIN THE COMPANY

The maintenance framework for the Sanitation Department is categorized into vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance, and facility maintenance.
Primary maintenance focuses on the specialized utility vehicles used by the Sanitation Department, encompassing routine preventive care, repairs for daily reported breakdowns, and full overhauls of vehicles or their specific components.
Secondary maintenance pertains to communal equipment: compactors, residential waste bins, recycling containers, trash cans, bins, and tricycles.
(There is plenty of other useful data in there; I highly recommend a read 😉 )

As I have already stated, they inherited a system that was both functional and well-established.

On the other hand, you seem to have completely missed the mark with this histrionic display from those activist exhibitionists.😁

Oh, right... is that why there are so many broken-down trucks lying around?

Or maybe because half the tires are missing?

Or are you just being incredibly dense, claiming that every single tire wore out in a year and every breakdown happened back then?
Eric Adams - Mayor of New York City, Part 4 in Political Scene ·
Gregory Hall66 said:When the facts simply refuse to cooperate, I suppose the crew reverts to their default activist mode and starts reciting a litany of excuses.

Their fundamental struggle seems to be that they inherited a highly efficient, functional system and haven't the slightest clue how to manage it.
Now, suddenly, everything and everyone is at fault. From the regional oversight boards down to the very trucks that—miraculously—require routine repairs. And yet, they claim to be broke, despite managing the largest municipal budget in history.

They continue to sign contracts with the exact same vendors, only now at even higher price points—the same companies that were practically sliding all over the pavement due to poor service just a few years ago.

They are staying afloat solely because the Republican Party will decide to tear them down whenever it serves their own interests.
As I see it, the Republican Party is merely waiting for the Democratic Party to gain enough leverage within the city so they can hand New York City over to them via some trivial procurement loophole.

🤣

A "functional and efficient system"... yeah, right, you troll.
..

You know, saying the trucks need repairs... as if it wouldn't have been fine under Buddy and his crew of losers, so they just skipped the maintenance entirely.

But hey, who cares about that, right?
It looks like the forum mods are still acting "clueless" about how the rules actually work here, which is why all the little birds, morons, and degenerates can keep tossing around those "affectionate" nicknames over in the soccer subforum without any consequences at all...

Meanwhile, anyone who actually tries to point out how ridiculous this situation is gets slapped with a ban faster than you can blink...
Charles Bailey2 said:I’m not here to defend Tijs or anyone else—they can handle their own PR—I’m just addressing this because I was the one who wrote that post in the wishes and greetings section.

It's true. I personally wished that user @Aurelije10 wouldn't see the sunrise. And honestly? I don't regret a single second of it, nor am I looking for an apology for saying it.
I was emotionally invested in the thread—look, since you lost your son, and someone very close to me has ended up behind bars for something they didn't do, and we're all waiting to see how this mess unfolds—so yeah, that was my reaction.

Since I’ve been waiting over a year to be stripped of my moderator status—and I haven't touched any admin tools since that moment anyway—I wrote that as a forum member, not as a moderator.
I got banned for what I said, and fine by me. The head mods did their jobs; they didn't censor me, and they didn't protect me; the rules applied to me just like everyone else.
That's fair. I already sent a private apology to my fellow head mod.
As for the rest of you sheep, busybodies, and fake moralists—not to mention that bunch of internet trolls over at Index—I have zero intention of apologizing to you.

And if you think I won't take a few extra swings at types like Šešelj, Paravinja, or those half-wits from Index—well, I've never hidden the fact that I stand by everything I write, even if it costs me another ban.

Stay healthy, you saint, and try not to catch a cold. (pfft*)

Look, wishing death upon someone is your own shame... and you don't need to justify it, especially not to me...

Trying to equate severe physical injuries that nearly killed a man with someone being wrongfully imprisoned is a massive failure... much like your attempt to justify your "wishes" toward your interlocutor...

Because this innocent person, if they truly are innocent, will prove it and will have every right to sue the government...

I'm just curious how many of you—including you—condemned the attack on the man I mentioned back in 2019.
I guess the forum admins are just totally clueless—they clearly have no idea what actual "moderation" is supposed to look like...

So, here’s the bottom line...

So, once again, everyone else is the problem except for that little "perfect angel" from sunny Florida who’s supposedly never done anything wrong in her life?

It’s always the same playbook—same excuses, every single time...

And honestly, all of this is nothing...

By your logic, it’s more likely that you're just some insecure degenerate.

To those of you defending the mods' actions: go jump in a lake, and feel free to slide into my DMs if you want me to say it to your face.

Look at this absolute nonsense—where do you people even come from?

Stakor, why don't you take your provocations and shove them back into the political gutter along with the rest of that trashy crowd.

Listen, you chatroom idiots, just leave us alone along with your pathetic little club and your local police force.

>

Who said they were "angels"? You're being narrow-minded, officer, seriously. Shouldn't someone in your position act professionally instead of stirring the pot and escalating things? You're being incredibly dense.

The idiot clearly hasn't a clue what they're reading.

So, we've got rats, morons, degenerates, extremists—all that good stuff—scattered across just a few pages, and none of it is even flagged...

Is this really the standard for communication allowed on this forum? Is this how I’m supposed to talk to a moderator?

And about this "moderator"—who actually thought it was perfectly fine to let a post slide where one user "wishes" for another to be dumped in a cold ditch?

Is this honestly the level of skill and competence you're looking for in someone moderating this forum?
The point isn't really about Nike or what actually went down—it’s about how they choose to "moderate" things in soccer...

It’s pretty obvious where the line is drawn: you can go ahead and verbally tear apart anyone who disagrees with the crowd—calling them idiots, losers, whatever else comes to mind—and it’s totally fine...

Let’s run a little experiment, shall we? Just to see how that would actually play out.

Regarding the actual incident, someone clearly thought the best way to "protest" was by ripping up street signs or tossing around fire extinguishers that weigh a good 35 pounds...

Or maybe they figured it’s perfectly fine for a handful of "geniuses" to charge at twelve officials...

But I’m telling you, the real issue here is this "moderation" nonsense—this attempt to scrub away any shred of critical thinking while the group currently running wild and attacking dissenters gets a free pass. They just can't wrap their heads around the fact that a host club acting as an organizer has the right to set rules, provided those rules don't violate US federal law...
Look, I couldn't care less about soccer in general—unless it’s the national team or some American club playing in Europe, then yeah, I'm all in for everyone...

The reason my post got flagged as some stupid trolling attempt is because two years ago, those local tailgaters nearly beat the hell out of a good friend of mine—literally almost killed his son—on his way back from Sunday lunch, mind you, when he wasn't even wearing any fan gear...

Back then, just like after this AC Milan situation, someone else always ends up taking the fall...

Back then, when they were jumping on a guy's head while he was lying on the ground being pummeled by about ten "brave" souls, and now, while they're ripping up street signs and throwing fire extinguishers around—do you people have any idea how much strength it actually takes to rip a street sign right out of the ground?

And yet, I get hit with a 200-point penalty for "trolling," while this whole crew of "brave" individuals—people who wouldn't hesitate to screw over your entire extended family and who openly insult others with every name in the book—gets absolutely nothing...

And all of this is allowed by Tijs, a moderator who is about as competent as the crowd he's protecting is cultured or eloquent...

Just two quick questions for the forum leadership here...

Am I allowed to talk to Tijs the same way the people under his protection talk to me and anyone else who disagrees with them?

bluecyclist64 said:And for the icing on the cake—there’s this guy who basically rolled into the States like some wide-eyed kid and, through sheer, unadulterated talent, landed himself a spot right in the special forces.🤣
So then he just kept fighting—straight through from the very first day until the absolute last day of the war.🤣
Well, he went and got himself an education—as if that’s actually going to change anything.🤣
So then he went out and bought half of America with nothing but his own two hands—just pure, manual labor...🤣

Come on, you little guys—start actually living your lives for once. Then maybe some old fossil like Oštrić won't be able to get under your skin so easily.☕

Man, back then, they were basically handing out passes to anyone who could scrape by a basic medical exam at Mayo Clinic...😉...and who actually had even a shred of an athletic background... let alone any actual combat training...

So, he bought half of America? Is that the rumor now?🤣

Look, I’ve never been one to hide the fact that my family's money was the starting point for everything—it was the foundation, plain and simple. I've mentioned it plenty of times before, too... but honestly, who actually sits around obsessing over the specific details? Most people don't, and frankly, I don't either.

Is Oštrić losing his grip? Honestly, the only two people I know who are actually fraying at the edges are you and him—you, when you’re drooling all over yourself in these mindless posts, and him, whenever he starts spiraling into those right-wing, religious fanatic rants or those typical leftist delusions just because he can't come up with a single actual argument.

And that's exactly the point—you're all still nursing those old wounds because we absolutely dismantled the South... nothing more, nothing less.

It’s like everywhere else in life—I just seem to attract these absolute losers who love to play the intellectual when they're feeling bold, only to pivot into full-blown extremism the second you actually back them into a corner. Suddenly, it’s all radicalism and religious zealotry this, or some other nonsense. Honestly, if you’re going to be that type of person, at least have the guts to own it from the jump. Stop trying to act all polished and reasonable—it’s exhausting. Just show your true colors immediately so we can all get on with things.

🤣

You really think you can hold an actual debate with Oštrić? The guy’s entire strategy is just throwing up smoke screens and cherry-picking logical fallacies whenever he feels cornered...

The second you actually pin him down with facts—or when he realizes he can't win—he immediately pivots to those far-right extremists or starts calling people "right-wing Catholic-bans" like he told me...🤣

Then he scurries off to Politics to defend some Puhovski's absolute garbage lies regarding Operation Storm, because apparently, having a backbone and using logic is too much to ask...

I guess that's what happens when you're a "right-wing Catholic-ban"... honestly, I'm just waiting for Lastan to show up and explain how I can be an atheist "Catholic-ban" at the same time... sure, why not?...

So, I guess calling people trolls and just straight-up lying to their faces is perfectly fine now, right? Just a regular Tuesday for some folks.

Here’s my response—where I actually asked for evidence to back up those lies and tried to debunk her nonsense regarding the supposed cooperation between the NO and MIT—but apparently, the mods are busy scrubbing any mention of it...

It’s honestly pathetic watching the moderation team play favorites and suck up to the usual suspects. Look, comrades, you can try to bury the truth if you want, but those days are long gone. You can't stop reality.

Why does this place let the Kiss Me nonsense stay up while they scrub any actual, reasoned rebuttals that call out those lies?

Why is she allowed to go full ad hominem on everyone, yet her replies just vanish into thin air?

And yeah, there’s been a warning pinned to this thread since October 4th telling people not to get personal with one another...

But you still have this crowd of Tesla fanboys running wild—it’s been days, and not a single moderator has handed out a damn card...

It’s always the same old story: if you aren't constantly sucking up to everything, suddenly you're labeled a Republican Party hack, or some bigoted troll, or whatever other nonsense they throw at you...

How does that even work? Seriously, how?

And why is anyone just letting this slide?

So, the "moderator" slapped me with a ban based on a deleted post that was probably live for all of two minutes...

And sure, it was just a total "coincidence" that I happened to hit the exact point threshold required for a ban...
