You guys just don't get people. And honestly, deleting posts can be pretty degutantan. I’ll give you an example so you see what I mean.
Back when I was a kid, we used to pass around these old VHS tapes featuring German adult comedies about Heidi. Even though they were porn, I’d call them more like raunchy comedies because they were hilarious at how much they exaggerated life in those little mountain villages. The main girl, obviously, was getting it from everyone, everywhere. In the haystacks, out by the tractors... Anyway, there was this one time a fancy doctor from Venice rolled into their village. While he was busy with her in doggy style, you could tell he was different—classier, more dignified. But to make sure nobody missed the point, the narrator dropped this absolute gem of a line: "Nobody's ever fucked our Heidi quite so gallantly."
That’s spot on, and honestly, it’s not just a thing in Formula 1. You see it all the time in the MMA world, too—fighters almost always talk in terms of "we." It’s just part of the culture to give credit where it’s due and acknowledge the whole team behind them.
Guys, you haven't been around since yesterday, and you know how the rules always shift: we're moving to the topic designated for this during the off-season lull between championships.
Thanks. I didn't mean that as a critique, my bad if it came off that way. This F1 Championship season has been a total mess on Reddit too, so since you're finally getting things organized here, I’m asking you to keep an eye on this little detail as well.
The crew everyone seems to worship—the one that basically defines what stability and consistent results look like—is called: Bambi and the Molester. 👍
Just my two cents on the whole situation... Most churches in the States don't even bother putting up signs saying you can't walk in wearing a swimsuit, yet most people still follow the unspoken rules. They do it because they know it’s just common sense. If someone actually didn't know or decided to play dumb, someone would call them out, and they'd either have to go fix their outfit or get kicked out. This applies to pretty much any church, not just those few spots in touristy coastal towns where they stick a sign at the door just to stop people from being opportunistic. It's the exact same deal here. If the moderators tell people what isn't acceptable, then it's not acceptable. From what I've seen of how this all went down, Brenda Green62 already handled it. Insisting that everything has to be explicitly written in the rulebook is just unnecessary. This Reddit isn't a sovereign nation where you're allowed to do whatever you want just because it isn't specifically forbidden.
Backing up z_k-a. 🙏 If you ask me, his moderation during the Corona era was incredibly well-balanced. He actually gets people and understands the vibe of the conversation. He doesn't just go full cop mode or get bogged down in technicalities; he just handles things exactly how they should be handled.
I actually ran this by my boss a few months back. He basically told me they have no clue how to add it in. Either it’s impossible or they just don't know how—it's pretty much the same thing at this point.
Nah, I didn't actually do the thing I was calling him out for. He just showed up acting all dramatic, demanding his account be deactivated because he wasn't digging the way some stuff was being moderated. I just stepped in to tell him to chill out. Then you came over telling me to stay out of it. 🙂
Totally. The thing is, I knew exactly what I was getting into from day one. You knew too—we were both on the same page. Now, the only real question is whether Jason Miller80 actually has a clue what he’s doing. If he does, then great. If he doesn't, someone needs to step up and tell him. But honestly? Someone else can handle that.
