It’s certainly a nice touch how he has fake written right there under his username 😬
stormyviper11 said:I’m not saying it’s definitely going to happen to your generation—though, let’s be honest, it probably will because it feels inevitable—but I’d bet anything that at least half of the people active on forums like this today won't even remember this in about five years. They won't be listening to music much at all. And I don't mean they'll be doing it unconsciously, either.

Ar Pecka and I were actually discussing this very thing just the other day 👍

Man, when I was sixteen—back when I had this habit of judging everyone based solely on their record collection—I befriended this guy who was maybe four years older than me. To my teenage eyes, he seemed to possess this incredible amount of maturity, wisdom, and genuine respect 🙏. Out of nowhere, once we realized our musical tastes didn't quite align, he just looked at me and said, "I'm not a kid anymore; I don't judge people by their music." I swear, I felt like I had a true moment of enlightenment right then and there 😲 😎

Laura Long5 said:What’s so bad about that?

There isn't anything bad about it at all—actually, quite the opposite! If it were a bad thing, I'd be right there with you since I have no clue who M. Ward, Sufjan Stevens, or Devendra Bahaud even are 😬. But I think what stormyviper11 was getting at wasn't about the artists themselves, but rather a pattern I've noticed through experience: the biggest revolutionaries are often the first ones to settle into comfortable armchairs and start rooting for the very establishment they once wanted to overthrow. 😉
A perfect illustration of this is that comic by Thomas Lavric called "Red Alert," which looks back at the punk generation from the early '80s about two decades later. 🙂

4. the most controversial listening room choice available: Mate vs Banderas!
Cheers, Unknown!

Personally, I’m leaning toward option one—especially if we get a heavier dose of post-darkwave, then I really hit the jackpot! 😍

That fourth option could be a real powerhouse, though, so I might just cast a vote there too. 😬

Take care! 👋

Ramirez is doing just fine

Exactly. 🙂 Honestly, just absolutely obliterating anyone in your path—whether it's civilians or even local pets—is basically the ultimate sign that you're overflowing with love. 😍

Honestly, we probably all need some kind of internal circuit breaker installed in our brains—something that just automatically shuts your mouth the second it detects you’re about to say something incredibly foolish 😁 😁

But hold on a second... maybe that switch actually exists already? It might just be wired backward. 😁

I just don't see how having the exact same theme running through every single track on an album is actually a good thing.

But hey, I guess that kind of perspective comes with time.

Oh, really? Well, why don't you go ahead and scroll through your entire music library and just Outcast every single record that sticks to one theme—you know, like love songs.
Then, after you've cleared all that out, feel free to let us know what you're actually listening to.

Look, I wasn't trying to act like a know-it-all; I was just trying to recommend a band to people who might actually enjoy them.
So, basically, I'm not talking to the folks who live for sarcasm. 👎

That—that part—is what comes with experience. 🙂

raindrop said:There are two decent tracks in there, I suppose. But honestly? The whole thing is just... meh. Really underwhelming.
And it feels like every single song hits that same social commentary angle. It's just preachy.

Well, I don't exactly expect an old pro to suddenly start churning out cheesy love ballads, right? He’s probably going to stick to what he knows—singing about things he actually understands. I guess that’s just what comes with experience. 🙂

Jose Miller17, I didn't say he was a loser—I just meant his whole point was pathetic.

Look, if he touches me or tries to shut me down, then I’m going to react exactly the way I did. That's just how it goes, I guess.

Regarding my last point, the post at the top of this thread includes a quote from the newcomer that I was primarily responding to—mostly because, in my opinion, his take is just completely off base (and honestly, he seemed to be carrying that same impression over from the previous page).

Now, if I'm the only one here who feels like that scene was basically coerced sex, while everyone else thinks it’s great and wants to promote it that way, it doesn't mean I'm wrong or that I'm being rude. You can't exactly handle stupidity with kid gloves, right?

So, go ahead—delete it.
