The heat doesn't really bother me that much... I just end up sweating more during my workouts... I usually train outdoors, but I wait until the evening so it's easier to handle since the temperatures have dropped by then... there's absolutely no way I'm hitting a workout when it's 95 degrees or higher outside....
Thanks so much, ladies! Fingers crossed I don't end up with a massive leak, haha—that definitely wouldn't be a fun sight to wake up to. I'll make sure to change it regularly and just see how things go. Have a great one!
Look, I can tell you a few things about this. The gear turned out to be exactly what I needed—everything fits perfectly. Camouflage gear.$430(Beuchat Mundail) The Marlin 95 speargun measures roughly 47 inches in total length.$450 60 cm compressor.$200. -Gloves-$53 Socks.$60 Lead.$83 -Mask-$117(omer) -Jester-$67 (omer) Peraje $217 Freediving is such an intense sport—it’s dangerous as hell, but honestly, it's incredibly gripping. You need serious mental toughness and physical conditioning to handle those descents. It's not like it used to be where you could just find fish at 30 feet; nowadays, you really have to push down to 50 or 60 feet if you actually want to catch anything. To get your permit, you have to head over to the Port Authority. They forward everything to the Department, and then you usually get your paperwork back in about a week. The cost is around... $40That covers your annual permit and your club membership fees.
Hey girls, I’ve never actually used tampons before. I really want to go swimming at the pool, but I’m going to be on my period, so I wanted to ask—what has your experience been like using tampons while swimming? Is it totally safe? Thanks so much!
I once sent a letter and a greeting card to the exact same address, even though they were coming from totally different parts of the country... the card showed up in just a day or two, but the letter took about a week to arrive 🤣
Just send it her way! Once it arrives, I know she's going to love it 😉
I was up in Napa Valley 🙂 watching "Quiet light"... and honestly, I wasn't really feeling it, though I did stick it out until the credits rolled. I can't even put my finger on why it missed the mark—maybe I was just exhausted. Who knows? :nezna: That being said, there were a few scenes that were absolutely stunning. The opening was pure genius... you just need a certain level of patience to settle in.
What actually bummed me out, though, was how the audience behaved. The comments flying around 😢—where has that sense of decency gone?? It doesn't matter if someone loves a movie or hates it; you don't have to be rude about people's tastes (maybe someone just isn't in the right headspace for it, so it doesn't hit the way it's supposed to? But then again, what "way" is that? Everyone has the right to experience a film, a director, or the actors in their own unique way) ....but some people in the crowd this time were just plain disgusting. Zero class... it's sad. I'm all for speaking your mind, but let's keep a basic level of respect for a finished piece of art... whether it’s a film, a painting, a book, or music 🙂
But anyway, back to Quiet light... I'll leave the deep critiques to everyone else 😬
For me, though... that one scene was definitely the highlight... the woman breaking down in the rain... that kind of self-destruction over someone you love. And that conversation between the two of them in the car.... phenomenal!!!!!! 👍
Thanks for checking in! It’s actually feeling a lot better since yesterday. I might have just stepped on something sharp—I’m always walking around barefoot, so who knows?
My toe has been acting up since Saturday. It’s not constant, but it really hurts whenever it touches anything, and there’s some redness and swelling on the side. Honestly, the only way I could have been bitten by something was when I was out hiking this past Thursday, but I don't know... it felt fine on Friday, then suddenly flared up on Saturday. I also don't think it's an ingrown nail. Has anyone else dealt with something similar?
So, I went to grab my monthly pass and handed over a hundred-dollar bill along with a twenty. The cashier took the hundred and just handed me the twenty back without saying a word. I was standing there totally confused, so I asked her what the deal was. She just told me that the hundred isn't good anymore. Apparently, it was printed in '92 (though I looked it up online later and saw it was actually '93, but whatever). Anyway, she refused to take it—luckily, I had another $6.75 bill on me, so she just took that and put it in the register. When I asked her where I could go to exchange the old one, she pointed me toward the Federal Reserve.
Does anyone know if she actually had the right to refuse it, or was she legally obligated to take it? I mean, I know it’s not valid currency anymore, but still. 🤷
Am I supposed to just deal with this old bill myself, even though it was just passed down to me? (And trust me, I definitely wasn't the one holding onto a bill from '93 🤣)!
Nowadays, everyone seems to want a label, and honestly, it feels like we’re all dealing with something mental.
I remember this one phase I went through where I felt like every single thought that crossed my mind had to be spoken out loud—I just couldn't shut it off. It was exhausting, though, so after a little while, I just stopped doing it. 🙏 🙏 🙏
"Compulsive actions or rituals are repetitive, stereotypical behaviors. It's important to note that these actions aren't meant to solve actual problems or provide pleasure; rather, patients often view them as a way to prevent an objectively unpleasant event from happening or as a means to relieve the tension and discomfort they feel. In most cases, the patient is fully aware that this behavior makes no sense and tries to resist it, but fails. They feel driven to perform a specific action or ritual just to stave off a perceived danger or to ease their anxiety. Some people also struggle with pathological doubt, leading to compulsive checking... Checking rarely actually clears the doubt, and in some instances, it can actually make things worse."
Gary Evans8 said:I have to admit, I was actually pleasantly surprised! Since I’m a bit more curvy, I was honestly terrified I wouldn't find anything that fits, but boy, was I wrong. You know your own body best, though—not everyone can pull off a certain look. I definitely don't have that tiny Barbie frame; I've got curves in all the right places, you know? You should really go try on some dresses yourself to see what works for you. Anyway, here’s a photo of my dress! This one has black embroidery, but mine actually has silver details instead. I went with something super simple because I'm not big on busy patterns or extra details, but it cinches my waist perfectly. Now, I'd love to hear what you think!
This looks absolutely stunning. I’m such a fan of silhouettes that have a bit more volume and flow—something soft and airy...
