So... my girlfriend has been dealing with some vaginal irritation for a few days now. There’s no redness or anything visible to the naked eye, and we always use condoms, so please don't start with the accusations—she hasn't been unfaithful, so let's just rule that out immediately right from the jump...

I'm thinking it might be this: http://www.webmd.com/infections/yeast-infection-symptoms

But she’s really avoiding going to the gynecologist. What kind of advice can you guys actually give me here? 😬

Seriously, go back and read my post again. Try to find where I actually used the word "EVERYONE"? Or maybe you just don't get the difference between saying "everyone" and saying "most people"?

Psoriasis [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
p.s. I don't mean you can actually cure it... that's just not realistic😢
Psoriasis [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
Exactly! It’s unique! 😬 Look, it’s not like I’m missing a limb or my face is disfigured or anything. I just have psoriasis... and eczema that flares up and then clears out. I know it isn't exactly a walk in the park, but you can't just stand there feeling sorry for yourself. Claiming you're a victim, sulking, or even getting angry... just put a smile on your face and get on with your life! 🙂
If you're constantly pissed off at yourself and getting worked up, you're never going to be interesting. You'll end up hiding away, and in the worst-case scenario, you'll end up ALL ALONE! No friends, just you against the world.
That's how you actually move forward—by having fun experimenting with all the different theories, because you know that eventually, you'll heal your body.
You just have to stay positive, and good things will happen! THINK POSITIVE!!! :klap: 🙂
Tea, honey, and Brita... in Health ·
Man, who can even keep track of all this stuff... 🤔 I’m sitting here sipping this Lipton right now and honestly, I am converted! It isn't bitter at all—I swear, I timed it down to the second! You get this huge hit of mint, almost like there’s fresh lemon squeezed in there too. The thing is, the box doesn't say anything about how long you should steep the bags.. 🤔 Whatever, I'll just stick to two minutes for all the green teas. Why would anyone let these sit longer? Oh, wait! Also, how long does an open box of tea actually stay good? I just opened a whole bunch of them, and I'm assuming they just dry out, right? They aren't airtight in that plastic wrap around the box, are they? 🤔

P.S. I'm looking now, and their website doesn't mention that bamboo set. Do you happen to remember roughly how much it costs? Don't want to get blindsided by the price, haha..
Tea, honey, and Brita... in Health ·
So, I’m at the grocery store right now and found this green tea from Lipton. They didn't have any Twins in stock, but whatever—I'll just grab those at that specialty shop later.. this one is Lipton Tea Mint.. basically an flavored green tea with mint.. 😕 Might as well give it a shot.. I also picked up some cranberry tea; oh man, it smells amazing and has such a pretty reddish color. There wasn't much variety to choose from, but hey, you gotta try new things sometimes..

I probably steep this green tea way too long, definitely more than two minutes.. I never really check the clock, I just kind of wing it.. lately, I've been making sure not to pour boiling water directly on it, letting it sit for a bit first. I haven't used honey for a couple of days now; honestly, it's easy enough to get used to.. but I'm still a little hesitant to try that green tea again—I still haven't forgotten that bitter aftertaste, ugh..

Does anyone know how to clean out these tea infusers? At work, I just use the regular tap water to make my tea, and at home, I use the sink water, and yeah, limescale has already started building up after just a day or two of use. It's gross.. that's actually why I was planning on getting a Brita, because looking at this buildup is just nasty. 😢

P.S. Totally forgot to buy that metal tea ball, oops.. oh well, I'll get it tomorrow. Besides, I don't even have loose leaf tea right now anyway, everything I have is just in bags.. or whatever the term is these days..
Tea, honey, and Brita... in Health ·
Ugh, thanks so much for all the advice, everyone! I’ve got everything written down now. I’m planning to head out and pick some stuff up either tomorrow or the day after. And thank you for the link! Also, just a quick update—I’ve finally stopped adding honey to my herbal teas (like chamomile and mint), and honestly, it tastes great! I don't even miss the sweetness. Now, I just need to mentally prepare myself for the bitterness of green and black teas, haha... I mean, I can't really wrap my head around how something bitter could actually be refreshing, but hey, I'll follow the logic: if it's good for me, I'll do it. Just thinking about that bitter taste gives me the chills, oh man... But yeah, I totally wasn't paying attention to the two-minute rule. I'm going to try steeping them for a shorter time today and make sure the water isn't boiling hot, just letting it sit for a bit instead.. 🤔

Okay, fine, I’m begging—just tell me the names so I can go grab some myself! 🙂 😍 Where on earth do you even keep all those boxes, haha... and how much tea are you actually drinking every day if you have that many varieties lying around? Vision correction with Dr. Pavica in Health ·
I’ve been hearing things about this Dr. Pavić guy and his eye exercises meant to fix vision issues.
There have been plenty of threads here before with people sounding genuinely interested in trying it out, so I’m really looking for some firsthand accounts from anyone who has actually gone through the therapy. From what I’ve gathered from various sources, they say you can clear up astigmatism in a day or two, but nearsightedness requires at least a month of consistent practice. We’ve already seen posts detailing the exercises for nearsightedness, so if anyone here dealt specifically with astigmatism, could you walk me through those specific movements?
I want to know what I’m actually signing up for if I decide to commit to these $1000. I’ve spent a ton of time digging online and I’m pretty well-versed in Dr. Bates’ methods—which, let’s face it, started over a century ago—but there is a massive lack of info regarding Dr. Pavić. I can't find anything on his specific success rates, failures, or actual patient improvements.
My prescription is currently -0.75 with -1 astigmatism. Most people would probably tell me it’s nothing to worry about, but honestly, I can't drive or even read subtitles without glasses. Plus, my job involves staring at a computer screen all day, and I can already feel my vision getting progressively worse.
Come on, guys, if anyone has actually done this, please hit me with some details!
Tea, honey, and Brita... in Health ·
Oh, thanks for the heads-up! Quick question though—are those Himalayan Ganesh, Jasmine, and the Ginger Cranberry blends actually strong? Like, are we talking heavy-duty stuff similar to green tea? I’m really hoping they aren't super bitter... 😲 I was reading the other day that sage can be pretty intense and you shouldn't overdo it; apparently, it's even better just used as a mouthwash. I'm being extra cautious with my tea selection lately. By the way, do you usually strain yours through a sieve, or do you just grab one of those little metal infuser balls?
Tea, honey, and Brita... in Health ·
bluecrane16: Honestly, I don't get how you don't find it bitter... for me, it's absolutely overwhelming. Even just the smell alone is kind of off-putting. I haven't figured out how to get used to it yet.

*Brenda Smith*: Thanks! That's really helpful info! I’ll definitely head over there to check it out. I've never actually used loose-leaf tea (I didn't even know that was what they called 😬), and honestly, I'm too lazy to deal with all the straining. I thought about just getting those tea balls where you put the leaves inside... Also, I had no idea you shouldn't put honey directly into boiling water. Got it—I'll make sure to wait a few minutes before adding it.

ironsurfer8: Those calories are basically negligible. By the way, regarding the honey, I read somewhere that you shouldn't add anything at all because it ruins the tea's natural properties. For example, I can drink mint tea plain, but if I add just a tiny bit of honey... I feel like I'd need to add two huge tablespoons to an equal amount of green tea to balance it out. Hmm... I don't know. I have a whole box left, so I'll try using more honey next time. Oh, and I saw Brita filters for $130-$48 in a three-pack. A clerk told me you're supposed to swap them out every month or so. It doesn't seem like much money considering what you get out of it. So, spending about $20 is fine for a Brita... unless I can find a better deal somewhere.

Tea, honey, and Brita... in Health ·
Hey everyone, first time posting here. I hope I've landed in the right group! 🙂 So, here’s the deal: I’ve never really been a tea person. But, as I’m gradually moving away from the idea of eating and drinking only what tastes good and shifting toward what’s actually good *for* me, I started sipping on tea. I don't drink coffee, and I used to drink a ton of soda, which I was really trying to cut back on. The problem was, I can't stand plain water or sparkling water either, and I just didn't know what else to turn to. 😕 That's basically how I stumbled upon tea.

Anyway, after the initial struggle of getting used to the taste, here I am about a month or two later, happily drinking tea all day—usually 2 to 3 liters a day. My absolute favorites are peppermint and chamomile; I can drink them almost completely plain (I don't even need lemon or honey). I can't stand bitter flavors, so I was honestly a bit horrified when I tried green tea... it was just awful. 😲 How on earth can anyone drink that and actually enjoy it? 😱 Also, if I add one small teaspoon of honey to half a liter of tea, is that going to be high in calories? I've found so much conflicting info about calories in honey. 😕 Some sources say a spoonful is about 60 calories, while others claim honey is a total calorie bomb. What kind of honey do you guys use? What should I look for when I'm buying it? Can tea actually be bad for me? If so, which types? And is 2 to 3 liters a day considered too much? Finally, could anyone recommend some other teas that aren't bitter, just something smooth and tasty? 😍

One last thing: do you use a Brita or some other way to filter your water? I bought an electric kettle—you know, the kind with the heating element at the bottom—and within just a day or two, it was already covered in limescale. It's terrible. I looked at Brita filters ranging from the 240ml size up to $200.. 😱 Honestly, I don't see much difference between them besides the design (some are narrower, some wider) and the capacity (maybe a half-liter difference, which seems negligible).

Sorry for the massive wall of text; my brain is just jumping from one thought to the next. I don't have anyone else to ask, and whenever I try to look things up, I either get exaggerated claims or answers that just don't sound convincing. There's so much junk info online... the funniest stuff is when they claim some random tea can cure a cold, fix heart issues, ward off the evil eye, calm your nerves, help with male infertility, AND soothe gum inflammation all at once. 😕 😬
