My mom used to beat me when I was little just because I’d wet the bed—I didn't cry because of the hitting itself, but because of how cold she was. It wasn't about love; it was just pure aggression directed at someone who hadn't done anything wrong. Adult depression is so often tied back to what happened to us during childhood. I completely agree with this. I dealt with similar issues with my mother growing up, and it has definitely shaped who I am as an adult today.
Look, IggXy, I don't owe you any explanations or apologies because your own posts make it pretty obvious what kind of person you are.
Your posts have been incredibly frustrating, but I'm not going to stoop to your level and start insulting you.
You've already shown everyone exactly who you are.
The only silver lining here is that you mentioned work. When someone is struggling with depression and anxiety, staying busy can help distract them from their problems for a bit, but it isn't a cure.
At that point, you need a psychiatrist, psychotherapy, and potentially antidepressants.
When someone is doing so poorly that they can't even leave their house, it's a massive problem. It's honestly heartbreaking to read posts from people in that state; I can only imagine how much they are suffering.
That is a dark place I would never want to be again. I went through a very difficult period like that myself, but I put in a lot of work, and I'm doing much better now.
I hope that makes sense, though I suspect you won't get it anyway and will probably just be rude and stubborn in your next post.
Take care.
