But honestly, you don't even need to worry about it moving forward—you're already a master.

I honestly can't believe you thought I was Che; I’m not some kind of psycho.

👎 And try selling that nonsense to someone else... It's blindingly obvious that you guys just opened a few burner accounts to "pretend" to be me and "shame" me... seriously...🙄 how pathetic... 🤣 Look, I always make it clear what my username is. I only switch them because of the arguments and bans over on Reddit... that's the only reason. I change accounts because of the "wars" I'm fighting there, not to play puppet for someone like you or anyone else in your circle... if you were a little sharper, you would have figured that out by now. 🤣

I never actually said Wong was never defeated. What I said was that I find it hard to believe Cheung absolutely crushed him, because like you mentioned, every master claims they're the absolute best, so maybe Cheung is just talking big too.
At the very least, if you're going to argue with me, don't twist my words or make things up.

Buddy, you've got me mixed up with someone else... so yeah, I'm not the idiot here.🤣 You clearly got a little too worked up over Pljuger and missed the point of what I was telling you versus what I wrote to placidbison20 and linked there. Take a deep breath, chill out, and give it another shot.🤣 👋

Why do you think it’s so good?

Just a bunch of primates and a super advanced computer that someone accidentally stuffed an EGA graphics card into.

This film is Art, in the truest sense of the word. If the Mona Lisa is the peak of painting, then 2001: A Space Odyssey is the peak of cinema.👍

There’s something about your perspective that I just can’t wrap my head around. You clearly know your stuff when it comes to Indian religion and philosophy—you’ve actually lived in India, you deeply respect their teachers, and all that—yet somehow, you still reject the idea that free will is an illusion and that everything is predetermined. On this specific point, you actually sound more like a traditional Christian: you’re looking for individual guilt and personal accountability. You seem to believe people simply aren't "good enough" yet and that they can "fix" themselves if they just adopt certain mental frameworks or follow a specific set of rules. I honestly don't get how those two stances coexist. Could you explain why you feel that way? 🙂

Nobody is invincible.

Exactly... here’s the link. Of course, they'll probably claim outsiders are just making things up, but the truth is, Wong was basically unstoppable... honestly, the guy was like a superhero. 🤣

Jesse Lopez87 said:I can't believe this. Wong was one of the top four students taught by Yip. (Leung Sheung, Lok Yiu, Tsui Sheung Tin, Bruce Lee.)

🤣 Look, you don't even have to believe it, Jesse Lopez87, as if that matters. By the way, where on earth did you get the idea that Wong is one of the "top four" students of Man?😕 🤣 Did Man ever actually say that? Of course not... every single one of Man's students claimed they were the best, and naive people like you just fall for it... 😂..I'm also curious where you got the notion that the other three are also "among the top 4"... honestly, kid, go play your PlayStation instead...

Jack Harris3 said:Yeah, but look at what you said earlier:

How can YOU possibly know if someone isn't just looking out for their own interests?
If you don't actually know (and let’s be honest, neither of us can really know 😉), why are you acting so certain about it?
And even if people *do* act purely in their own self-interest, why talk about them with such condescension?

Because Plutarch acts for himself, not for "The Self." 🙂
I know it—I know it. This morning, when I was doing my tarot reading, the Master showed up as the description of my own soul in the puzzle. 😈
I'm very afraid. 😈

(I mean, you're the one who reached out, so don't play coy now. 😁)

I didn't say it wasn't enough—it's written right there, plus in those specific cases I mentioned earlier. 😁

Yeah, I called, but I'm curious to hear what kind of criteria you're actually looking at. 🤣

You answer to yourself, to God if you're religious, or to your boss if you actually have one... 🤔

I wouldn't be surprised if the usual suspects chime in once someone starts bringing up everything from local politics all the way up to the FBI. 🤣

Oh, come on. He’s obviously mastered samadhi, been a celibate since birth, an expert on all the sacred texts, and totally detached from everything. 😳 😁

Plutarch rejects any actual criteria because they know they'll never reach master status themselves, and they just can't stomach the idea of someone being better than them—talk about American jealousy. So instead, they just dilate this enlightened, floating nebulous nonsense that’s really just a way to dodge anything concrete that could actually lead to accountability. 🙂

Look, even the desert ascetics had their elders. Most monks have some kind of spiritual guidance, and honestly, even the more "hardline" Christians have them. Someone like a Father Pio or a local judge has their own dedicated following.

It just isn't formalized. Since most official gurus out there are either total frauds or just traditional family figures who exist solely to pass down necessary initiations, it’s not actually a bad thing.

You’re talking about people from other traditions who decided to dive deeper into spirituality, but there isn't much difference there, even when they happen to be Christian. Your average Buddhist, Muslim, or Jew doesn't obsess over finding a teacher any more than an American Christian does. As for those who claim they don't need anyone—well, that's just that classic American attitude where everyone thinks they're a self-made expert who knows better than everyone else. 😁

Karen Sanchez19 said:Morning, everyone!👋

So, I just woke up. 🙂

It’s currently 2:40 AM. I actually went to bed at 6:00 PM thinking I’d catch up on some serious sleep.😂
After getting a solid 10 hours, I am wide awake and can't get back to sleep if I tried.
And weirdly enough, I actually remember a dream—it's been forever since I could do that. I'll post about it in the dreams thread later.😁 😁

Karen Sanchez19, you awake too? 😁
I was just mulling over that question you asked earlier: "Who wakes us up?" Don't all living things have a sort of "internal clock"? It's super obvious with animals, but as humans, we rely so much on our phones and gadgets that we've kind of let our natural rhythm slip. That said, with a little practice, we can definitely train ourselves to wake up at specific times. So, my take is that we essentially wake ourselves up via an internal biological program. 🙂 Or do you see it differently?

Balkanijan Pig said:What would you even know about anything if you tossed out books, mentors, TV, the internet, or school? If you were raised among wild animals, you’d just be another animal. Your peak intellectual achievement would be figuring out how to hunt or scavenge for food that day.

In that case, I'd still be living fully in the moment. 😁 That’s why I mentioned earlier that the present moment is the only constant we really have in this existence—even if it's just a vague sense of something steady. Though, honestly, I probably wouldn't even stop to think about it.

All our knowledge and experience comes from somewhere. Why would you reject the insights of people who actually know things?

How do you know they actually know?

Why would you ignore your own experiences?

Nobody is forcing you to do that. It's just that we aren't objective when judging our own lives, and those experiences often lose their weight over time anyway. What you "learned" ten years ago gets replaced by what you learn today, and so on.

Then why not ignore the experience that tells you not to touch a hot stove? You'll end up sitting there like an idiot, getting burned because you ignored common sense at the BBQ.

Do you really think I could? How? This just goes to show how much control we actually have over our own thoughts! You can't just erase memories, no matter how hard you try for a lifetime. 😉 The nature of the human mind is what it is; you can't change it just by wishing. The only way to truly alter it is through physical force—like drugs or a blow to the head.😁

The wisdom and knowledge of those more advanced than us, combined with our own lived experience, are the only things that can actually guide us.

That works fine in the material world. But is human reason enough for anything deeper than that?

Long live the texts, death to the dice rolls!🙂

Texts, books, authorities... everyone interprets them however they want. They were written by people whose actual lives we know nothing about, let alone whether they were lying to us or how filtered their stories became by the time they reached us. It's all incredibly unreliable.😉
