That’s just not true... Movie selection in New York is just as limited... I have friends living in New York who constantly complain about how they can't see the same films they catch in London...
Gerald Barrett25, I’m not just talking about big commercial hits like Chicago that get filmed in Toronto... 🙄 I mean indie gems, world cinema, and experimental stuff too...
Amanda Cruz68... I don't care when the premiere for some mediocre flick like "Maid in Manhattan" hit Washington, D.C. 🙄 Your options are still super restricted... So what if three blockbusters arrive three days early? If "Habl Con Ell" shows up six months late, or if it looks like Cronenberg's "Spider" might not even make it to your screens at all... 🙂
In London, you can pretty much see any film ever shot and distributed...
Where else are you going to find Kurdish, Uzbek, or Azerbaijani cinema? 😉
We've got the Sundance Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, Human Rights Film Festival, Frameline Film Festival, San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, and even kids' festivals... plus all those international showcases like the Taormina Film Festival, Mexican, Greek, Russian, Chilean, Turkish, and more...
Can you even compete with that? 🙂
I mean, let's be real... London has the most incredible arts scene on the planet... 🙂 And that's not even counting the exhibitions, the music, or the theater... 🙂
I honestly think after London, it’s London Paris, then maybe Bec... and only then maybe Toronto or New York. 🙂
If you don't live in London, I actually feel bad for you. 🙂
